Property Ratings at Village at Main Street
Do not rent from this company! This place is run by thieves and liars! First off, on the day we moved in, they charged us an extra $300 deposit, bringing the total deposit to $1100 instead of the agreed upon amount of $800; I already had the uhaul packed and in the parking lot, so I sucked it up and paid it. Worst mistake ever! The apartment was a wreck when we moved in, and they have yet to fix anything. The oven fan still doesn't work nor do two of the stove eyes, and they still wont fix it, nor do our doors lock properly. It took less than two weeks for us to get robbed! Now our next month's rent is due, and they are charging us and additional $35 that wasn't agreed upon, and they say there's nothing they can do about it. I feel like I need to move out and try to dispute it on my credit report. This Place is a nightmare! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
We've been here a year, I like the location. I like the floor plan. Pool is crowded but nice. Gym is very nice. But the management (especially assistant manager) is poor. Not professional at all. We have a lot of friends here, most have had problems with the office...
I've lived at Village at Main Street, even before it had its current ownership. I have always been very satisfied with it overall. These apartments are clean, neighbors are as good as I could expect reasonably, office workers are overall good, repairmen are quick and efficient with no drama. I get the sense that the ownership wants us to live comfortably here. Free gym membership at Edge X Fitness is always a plus. The downsides are few and minor. Paperwork at the office under the current management faced a few hurdles that took longer than need be. Also, when LA Fitness moved out, it took a year until Edge X Fitness moved in and we were still paying the same amenities fees during that time, which seemed a bit unfair. Overall, don't be deterred by those negatives. The prices look high from the internet, but cost-of-living is quickly rising in this part of Oregon, so this is a relatively great deal.
We have lived here a little over a year, we picked this place because we loved the grounds the location is great to walk to a lot of the places we go in town and the park and the library. I love the master bedroom we have the plan with wooden floors and they're really nice I love the two patios and the pool is great having the gym right here is great.
