Villa Del Sol

Calexico is a small city in the Southern California desert, located directly across the border from Mexicali, Mexico. The city’s location right on the border imbues the community with a heavy dose of Mexican culture, and also makes it a thriving international business hub. Most of the business activity in Calexico is clustered along Imperial Boulevard, especially near the border crossing; this is where you’ll find most of the shopping, dining, arts, and entertainment options in town. San Diego State University’s Imperial Valley Campus operates just north of Downtown, with the surrounding neighborhoods offering terrific rental options for students, faculty, and staff members.
