Apartment Reviews at Vie at Raleigh
The best in raleigh
Vie is the best in raleigh. ive loved every minute and its even better becuase i can ride the free shuttle.
Don't live here
This is the most invasive, fine happy, incompetently managed apartment complex I've ever lived in. They tried to tell me I had to pay a full months rent for August but couldn't move in until the 16th. They'll enter your apartment any time they want regardless as to whether you want them there, they can't seem to do anything from mail to maintenance in a timely manner, and they look for any excuse to fine you into oblivion. I'd be highly surprised if I got my security deposit back. The rent is cheap but not for long. They're renovating right now even though it breaks the terms of their lease agreement so they can raise the rent. The water pressure is garbage, the internet is garbage, there's maybe three dumpster for the whole complex, it takes days to get slips for you packages, weeks for maintenance requests, the pet deposit is $300, I could go on forever. Please do yourself a favor and don't live here.
Do not live here!!!!
First, I'm certain 4-5 star reviews on this site are written by bots or employees. Just look at the language, no one actually talks like that. My biggest complaint is all the garbage lying all over the place for months at a time. I'm not talking around the garbage bins instead of in them. I mean in the hallways, all over the parking lot, even completely full trash bags rotting on tree branches. Noise and safety is another huge issue. I hear gun shots about once a month. My next door neighbors are drug dealers with loud knocks on their door at all his of the night. My upstairs neighbors were robbed at gun point. Finally, the whole company seems really shady. When I moved in, I was told my apt had just been remodeled recently with new appliances and hardwood floors. The apt had carpet and one of my roommates had already lived there for 2 years with old furniture and appliances. He said they told him the same story when he moved in. They are advertising the same thing now. The only positive thing I can say is the rent is cheap ( well was cheap, guess they are raising prices), utilities are included, and the internet is decent though cuts out rarely.
Why should you move to wolf creek?
Well for starters, the rent is very affordable, cable & internet included, its furnished! For a person like myself it works for me. I've been living here almost a month an I must say it's pretty laid back
If you enjoy having gunshots outside your window, management constantly coming into your apartment because they don't trust their residents for more than a week, and terrible water pressure in your shower, then this is the place for you! However, if any of that sounds terriblw do not live here. I have been a resident for years and it is awful.. It used to be tolerable because the rent was super cheap, but that is changing and now I would discourage anyone from living here
Worst experience ever
This is the worst experience I've ever had .maintenance comes into your apartment every single week sometimes without notice .They lowered the water pressure since I've moved in due to high water usage. Once your in a lease your pretty much stuck due to the requirements of the sublease which is the only option . You can only have one guest at the pool who must use a pool pass which they will charge $5 a day if not returned the day of use before 6 .The property manager Eugene is rude and the apartment complex is money hungry .Do not move here you will regret it
Good Ole Hillsborough Street
This is a great place to live if you're a student, All surrounding colleges are less than a mile from you and the nightlife is amazing, If you know Raleigh then you know Hillsborough is the place to be day or night, and the luxury of living on Hillsborough street makes it that much better. Its one of the safest complexes in the Raleigh which is great because they have a police officer that lives in each housing section which makes it that much safer, it may mess up your party but hey your safe! I would recommend this place to anyone. And rent is very affordable
THIS PLACE IS THE WORST
Never I REPEAT NEVER live here. I know it's cheap but it's really not worth the suffering. They practically force you to renew by backing you into a corner. And if you DO decide to leave they practically make it impossible. I had to find a subleaser and pay a 300 dollar fine. Which I really shouldn't have because they forced me to renew by telling me I could keep my rent the same rate (yes they raise they're rates 100$ every year and the rent varies person to person). This place is a scam. So when I decided to leave I paid to break my lease AND they still asked me to pay the next months rent. So now my subleaser is living there for a month rent free. And when I asked for a refund they said it would come from corporate but wouldn't come in till the end of that month. the end of the month finally arrived but no check. When I called asking about it they said no such refund was processed. That I have to discuss it with subleaser. This place is the absolute worst. (I could write a whole novel on why you shouldn't live here but I don't to waste anymore time with them).
Love the Vie
A little rough around the edges at first but the new staff and renovations are worth the stay. They are working hard to change the community, things just take time. THE GYM IS ON FLEEK!!!
Don't Rent Here
Recent 2016 renovations that they are claiming cost millions of dollars aren't reflected. All they have done is upgrade appliances and flooring which was years passed due. I've rented for almost three years and the customer service and maintenance and repair of the building is terrible. The so called renovations have actually awaken all the bugs that are hidden because I see more bugs in my apartment now then before since the renovation. I've now found a much better place to live. They also show you the model spec apartment when they take you on a tour because the actual apartment you end up renting is old and the furniture and appliances are worn an really in bad used shape. Not a good place to live and the price they charge to rent is way too high for the poor quality of the apartments. Warning!
The apartments are filthy on move in day. You call for maintenance and you wait days if not weeks. Kitchen sink was clogged and we called it stayed clogged for well over a week. I saw a roach at least 2 inches long in my roommates room. I had a pet visiting me and I got a 500 dollar fine - would not even work with me or listen to me. If I could turn back time I would stay in a nice place and pay the extra and get rid of some headaches. I strongly suggest you come and view the premises and you will see all the trash and filth all over their property. OH! and for roommate matching?? well my first year they matched me and my roommate with a 30 year old woman and we had to put up a huge fight to get rid of here. We were sophomores in college what could we possible have in common with a 30 year old? This year we were matched with a 30 year old, with a baby and a husband. After many many calls and complaints and AFTER this family moved in and made us a nervous wreck they made her leave. It's always one thing after the other with this apartment complex. They search for ways to fine you or get an extra dollar out of their tenants. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.
Had to wait until the day before to move in for "cleaning" but the apartment was trashed upon move in. Broken lights, holes in walls, ant colony in the fridge. Flies everywhere. Surprised there's not a dead body under the couch.
This is the worst place to live. We constantly have trash in our hallways and it smells horrible with people taking days to take care of it. Maintenance takes forever to respond to your requests, we went 2 months without air. The fixtures are cheap and they will charge you for them, our furniture literally fell apart months after moving in. Also, there are numerous roaches and other bugs that will continuously show up.
Hate it here
My apartment was dirty upon move in, there are paint splatters on the floor from the renovations that won't come off and we found cigarettes on the floor of the bathroom. There are many issues with the apartment itself, there is a hole in the ceiling in the kitchen and most of the tile is cracked and lose. Maintenance takes over 2 months to come and they will often mark things as fixed when they are not. The grounds of the apartment are filthy, there is vomit, dog poop, and garbage everywhere. The complex also has a crime issue, there is a lot of drug usage, car break ins, someone was shot at the complex in January, and we had someone try to forcibly enter our apartment. Please keep this in mind if you are considering living here.
2016-2017 school year, students were not allowed to move in until the day before classes started in mid August, but were required to pay full month's rent in August. The staff was trained to use word play to explain it away, but the bottom line is, the students were swindled out of a half's months rent. The apartment was filthy upon move in, including a heavy layer of dust on the popcorn ceiling. New appliances were ok, but dishwasher continued to overflow. Have had several maintenance issues since that were resolved once someone finally got back to the residents. All the promised amenities are still not completed, and do not appear to be nearing completion any time soon, but not offer of rent reduction to compensate. The staff does, however, continue to harass the residents to sign for another year before rates go up. REALLY? We will happily pay a little more for a better community. Management was not inclined to return calls, including management at their home office. If I did not feel that my persistence would have had a negative impact on my son and his roommates from the complex itself, I would have pursued it further. I am sure that was the expectation. I will wait until they are safely out of the staff and management's line of fire before digging any deeper.
Decent for first starter students
The cheapest you will find in Raleigh. Not so bad living in phase 1 for a year and they are pretty good at coming out when you have a maintaince problem.
Worst Apartment Complex in Raleigh
The rent may be cheaper here but it's not worth it. I have lived here for a year now and hated every minute of it. The management is horrible and the office staff is nice but not helpful at all. I signed a lease in November 2015 with the move in date of August 2016. I was told that they were renovating the entire property and that when I moved in I would be in an apartment with all new appliances, furniture, countertops and flooring. Well me and my roommates weren't allowed to move in until August 16th, which was the day before NCSU classes started. We tried to get our move in date changed but the office refused to work with us on that. Our apartment was absolutely disgusting when we moved in. There was dust everywhere, it reeked on cigarette smoke and there was crusty stuff on my desk and little black hairs all over my bathroom. It was horrifying. On top of that our apartment was not fully renovated as promised. We do have new appliances but everything else is old. When I spoke to the manager she said that the property was getting renovated in stages and that our apartment was part of stage 2, therefore it wouldn't be renovated for at least another year. last summer our air conditioner never worked, it would get up to 80 in our apartment sometimes. We were finally able to fix it ourselves after learning the code the vie uses to lock thermostats and change the temperature based on our own preferences. The fabulous pool that they advertise hasn't been open all summer because they haven't gotten it inspected yet. When I asked when it would be open the girl in the front office said she didn't know. what kind of place hasn't had their pool inspected by mid July? They also advertise a dog park which does not exist. The complex is NOT safe at all, there are almost no street lights and I've heard gunshots several times. Last, the cable in my room (which I am paying for as part of my rent) has been broken the entire time I have lived here despite my never ending attempts to get it fixed. At one point the manager even tried to convince my mother that it had been fixed without us knowing it. I was finally able to get a credit on my account, but it took 11 months of harassing the front office just to get that. Bottom line, this place is a total scam they try to sell people on this fabulous student living but don't deliver at all. Do yourself a favor and live literally anywhere else.
My son was supposed to move in the day before his classes at NCSU and his apartment was disgusting. It had not been cleaned. There was till bathwater in one of the tubs, food stuck on the stove, liquid and food in the refrigerator, mold underneath one of the sinks. Beware...the pictures lie. We are seeking legal action.
Vie is a Lie
This property is terrible. Apartments are filled with Roaches and othe insects. The Vie is unorganized, unprofessional and unsafe(mold and water leaks). There are tentants that throw TVs from apartments, loose dogs roaming the property and an unsafe environment.
Merica is a amazing worker who make sure she take care of her customers. When I come in and talk to her she make feel at home and want to be apart of theses Apartments. I'm happy to have her help.
Excellent Place to Live
My name is Joshua Clark and the @VieAtRaleigh is a great place to live, very college friendly. The staff is very nice and accommodating, always having events going on, just a wonderful atmosphere. The rent is great, and includes water, electricity, internet, cable, and trash take out. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place
Wolf creek apartments
Since I've moved in the staff here at wolf creek have been very helpful. I needed my carpet cleaned and they had someone come in very quickly. They have been very attentive when I call about anything.
Management and Maintenance Issues
Stayed at this complex June and July. The property is advertised with a beautiful pool. For the entire two months the pool was not open. After repeated conversations, I was given all types of different responses as to why the pool was not open including the state still needed to inspect the pool. Oddly the pool in the complex next door was open. Considering the oppressive heat during these months, it was very disappointing. The management did nothing to rectify the situation or even pro rate the rent considering the rental fee includes use of this facility. There were also roaches in the apt which many residents complained. Unfortunately maintenance never showed up to help with this situation either. I would pay a little more money and stay elsewhere.
Love the people work in office always nice and take care of tenant perfectly and very profecional and never had problem With Maintenance group always be there and take care of problems all together they are 5 stars community.
Don’t live here , don’t trust them
As much as you think this place is beautiful because you saw the model bedroom , it’s NOTHING LIKE IT. I almost made the mistake of living here in 2017. I had lost my scholarship and wanted out my lease since I couldn’t pay or attend school anymore . I gave and provided confidential and validated proof of claims . They wanted to charge me for the months of me not being there because I couldn’t find anyone to take over my lease ! Mind you I was already in a rough place with being kicked out of school because of being finiancialy unstable. The manager started to deny my calls and everyone wouldn’t answer me when I had questions . By the grace of God I found someone’s who wanted to take over my lease but my God . Do not trust these people . They’ll pressure you to sign your lease and rush things just to make money off of you . DONT LIVE HERE !
It’s been a little over a month and so far, so good. My unit was move in ready. Although, I did ask maintenance to remove a mattress, but they did not. I just stored it in the laundry room. I was also given an upgrade (2BRx2BA) at no additional cost for requesting that I move in later than my anticipated date. My upstairs neighbor could be a little more quiet when walking, but that’s expected when someone lives above you. For me, with the amenities included and the proximity to work, the price works perfectly!!
Never deal with those guys
I never lived there and they took me to collection. Identify theft or mistaken identity. I been trying to talk to the management for the past two weeks but they are unresponsive. Keep transferring me to an answering machine. Never replied back to my calls. I must have left them more than 10 messages without a success. I filed a complaint and I am waiting. If this is their attitude to resolve issue, I would never trust them with my information or helping resolving any issues. keep away. It is not worth the hassle.
Love it !!
I love this place so much! The people are so nice. The area is amazing and the apartments are breathtaking. Perfect.
Type in vie at Raleigh shootings in the search bar. Yes, shootings plural. If you don’t like killing bugs every other day it’s not for you. Some of them move really fast and only come out at dark. This apartment is livable. Nothing to get excited about. I filled out clean in common areas and my roommates definitely don’t match that description. Good luck on your apartment search!
Dangerous, Disgusting & A Waste of Money
All of the good reviews must surely be from the leasing people. This place is horrible. I'm a student at NC State and I was hoping for a moderately safe & priced apartment that was spacious. Yeah, the rooms might be spacious but this is so far from safe. While we lived here, there were so many shootings that we couldn't count them on one hand. A man died the first week we moved in from a shooting, and I heard about ANOTHER shooting just now. I would wake up to people beating each other up outside..this place is in the projects. When we moved in, there was vomit on our floors, bugs in the refrigerator, a random bike chained to our porch, and dirt and dust everywhere. We tried to get out of our lease the first day, and I am not usually a picky person. If you want to live somewhere decent, don't sign here. Don't believe their gimmicks, they're all fake. If you don't believe me, look at a crime map. If you don't believe me, read all of the news stories. That's all I have to say. (The only good part was the gym - don't even think about trying to study in the clubhouse, it closes at 8pm)
Dangerous and in poor condition
There has been multiple violent crimes here. Brown outs or black outs on a monthly basis. You can do better.
vie is wonderful

i love the vie at raleigh staff especially Guyvon. Without him i wouldn’t have been coming in for a tour. Helpful and caring person. Long time friend
best place in raleigh
Vie is great, ignore the negative. Everything is inclusive so its the bomb.
There are shootings here, and stuff doesn't get fixed. Renovations not completed.
Absolutely the WORST apt complex you could choose
I had an absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE living at the Vie at Raleigh for 8 months, and it was a direct result of the terrible management. In addition to the fact that the units themselves sub-par are not cleaned before move-in, the staff there has a complete disregard for their residents satisfaction. During my last two months there, my air conditioning unit broke SEVEN times!!! It took several calls on my part to even get anyone to come look at the unit each time, and it turns out that they were putting a temporary solution on the AC every single time, which resulted in it breaking again within 3 days of them "fixing" it. This happened 7 times in a span of two months, and I lived the entire months of June and July essentially without air conditioning. I then attempted to speak with management about the issue, and they completely ignored me for 3 weeks despite me calling, leaving voicemails, and sending emails EVERY SINGLE DAY. It took me personally going down to the office 3 separate times just to talk to the person I need to talk to. Then, when I finally did get contact with the manager, it was evident that they simply do not care about customer service, They disregarded the fact that they ignored me for three weeks, and refused to comply with my request for compensation for the issue that they caused. They were rude because they didn't want to deal with complaints and refused to acknowledge that it was their fault my air conditioning was intentionally not fixed AND that they were purposely unavailable to a resident in need of services. I would steer everyone far away from this horrible place. DO NOT live here.
I’d give them no stars if I could. It’s a terribly managed complex and everyone at the front desk has no helpful information when you go there. They are trying to renovate and are jacking up to ridiculous rates. My a/c went out in the middle of summer and it took them almost two weeks to fix what needed up just being a blown capacitor. Our garbage disposal was broken for over a year and after numerous work requests they finally fixed it. Save your money and live literally anywhere else.
Vie is amazing. aNTHONY made life here wonderful! thanks anthony. go state!
So friendly there
My name is Anna Mejia. I unfortunately didn’t move in because i moved out of state but Guyvon was so helpful and really went in to detail on why i should move in. If it wasn’t for my mom i would have!
