University Crossing Apartments & Townhomes

I would give a 0. So do not pay for a “newly remodeled” version of their apartments because it will not look as nice as the one they show you. You are not allowed to do a lot of your own stuff here to make it your home. You are not allowed to put curtains other than the one they may give you and only allowed patio chairs and plants on your back porch so no decorations they will fine you. If your car does not look pretty they will just call it inoperable and put stickers on your window to tow it. If you have any complaints and are even persistent that affect every neighbor and are even nice about it they do not care it’s not their problem. The package room will sometimes be locked during the open to close time they state and when you try getting their attention more than an hour BEFORE the close time and even get a response they won’t unlock it and tell you that you didn’t get to them in time. your packages will usually not end up in a locker and on the floor or in a big shared locker that others could take. There is close to no insulation if any, your heat and air will seep through any crack/windows/walls. (This is also a major problem with noise if you are the downstairs neighbor, this is the problem I mentioned earlier) Also your heat and air really only actually work in the main living room so unless everyone is cool keeping their room doors open all the time you’ll have to buy a heater and fan for your own room. Also there are no overhead lights in the living room or bedrooms just in the bathroom, kitchen, and this small hallway to the rooms. So be prepared to buy lots of bright lamps. The laundry room has only two washer and dryers that are shared amongst a lot of units about8 and possibly by other buildings if theirs are being used. They are the tiniest washing machines that are pretty expensive to work for how small of a load they can take to actually clean. So be prepared to drop a lot of money to do your laundry or be prepared to take your laundry to a laundry mat to make less loads and pay less overall. Often the dog bathroom area trash cans are overflowingggggg with dog crap. So those possibly are checked once a week. Yes these apartments are cheap and especially if split with other people but just keep this in mind, you’ll be looking for a somewhere else by the end of your contract. Most of these problems that they could fix were addressed and never really given much care further into it :).

I lived here for a long time and it has had many improvements over the year and they keep adding ammenties. If you have an emergency and the office is closed, someone shows up quickly. Very nice place to live and you can walk to ALDI!

Easy commute to just about everything. You really can't beat the price and they are nicely updated. I really love how cheap their pet fees are!

These apartments are great! My friend lives at the Happy Hollow Apartments and recommended that I check them out. These apartments are so cute and very affordable. I love the location being close to campus but far enough away for peace and quiet. The lady staff seemed very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be considering Happy Hollow Apartments for next year!

The staff is super helpful and friendly! I called the office for information on leasing for next school year. Their office is currently closed but that didn't hinder me one bit!!! They were able to not only answer all of my questions but also sent me a follow up email with tons of pictures and a link to their 3D tour here!

Title says it all! They tell you townhouses are updated but my microwave was broken, tub never drained , sinks would never drain, energy sockets didn’t work. All they want is your money

So many incredible changes have already taken place here, it's nothing at all like it used to be! The changes aren't just cosmetic either- the management company is around for the long haul, their commitment to the community and the neighborhood show in not only their insistence on hiring local labor, but also extends to their dedication to radically improving a place that used to be the ghetto of West Lafayette. And in spite of the major, massive, incredible upgrades, it is still the best bargain in the county.
