I toured Tropicana over the summer during my daughter’s move-in. The front desk staff, Linh, helped us a lot during the move in. I like that they have a 24/7 study lounge, and the location is great. One thing that would make Tropicana even better is including laundry in the rent.

Nice apartments, well furnished. Good size bedrooms with closet space and common living room. Kitchens are decent size. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Sophia at the front desk. She gave me insight not found on the website. I saved the phone number as Sophia Tropicana.

Tropicana has a great staff that is very committed to creating a positive experience for students. I lived here my senior year at UCSB and loved it! I’ve truly enjoyed my time at Tropicana Gardens. I lived in a UCSB dorm during my first year, but I was never a fan of the dining hall food. Here, though, the food is actually good! Plus, the bedrooms are spacious, and you only have to share a bathroom with 2-3 people max, which is a huge bonus.

I lived at Gardens during my freshman year and had an amazing experience! The property is within walking distance of the UCSB campus, and there's a bus stop right in front of the main lobby. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the RAs are approachable and easy to talk to. If you're a UCSB student looking for a great off-campus community, I highly recommend it.

After reviewing my options in IV housing, I decided on tropicana because their rent is about the same as other leasing companies but it includes utilities and tropicana gardens has a meal plan included in the rent, so overall it is a better deal.

I lived at Tropicana Gardens during my first year, and I absolutely loved it! The front desk staff were always super friendly and helpful. The RAs were also awesome—they helped me meet a ton of new people and made the whole college experience way less intimidating. I also stayed in a triple, and it was surprisingly spacious for a dorm. Overall, Tropicana Gardens was a great place to live, and I definitely recommend it!

From the food, to the close proximity to campus, to the positive attitude from each of the staff, there isn't really much more you could ask for. The cafe was suprisingly very good and there is a pretty nice game room which I made use of pretty often. What I enjoyed most though about Tropicana was the RAs who seemed like they actually really cared about everyones well-being. Would recommend!
