Tropicana Student Housing

Had a great experience at Tropicana Gardens! Big shout-out to Linh as she's super kind and helpful. She always takes the time to share events or opportunities that help me connect with the community. The rest of the staff are great too, especially when they helped me get into my room after I forgot my keys a few times!

I visited Tropicana last summer to help with my sister's move in. The person we met at the front desk, Linh, was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the food is pretty good. I can see myself living here

I toured Tropicana over the summer during my daughter’s move-in. The front desk staff, Linh, helped us a lot during the move in. I like that they have a 24/7 study lounge, and the location is great. One thing that would make Tropicana even better is including laundry in the rent.

The staff in Tropicana Gardens are very responsible and conscientious. In addition, the resident assistants and CAs, especially Linh, are very friendly and helpful. I am an international student and I feel welcome in this dorm.

Nice apartments, well furnished. Good size bedrooms with closet space and common living room. Kitchens are decent size. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Sophia at the front desk. She gave me insight not found on the website. I saved the phone number as Sophia Tropicana.

Really good and best experience, but also the best stuff (been specific Odalys), service, and most importantly helpful treat to guide you on any questions you have. The work plan she takes just to make you feel nice and easy to understand how important she actually cares about you having the best time!!!.

Odalys was really nice and honestly a great help, made sure all my needs were met and worked with me through my problems, amazing patience. Great to see there are still people that know customer service.

?????????? I absolutely love living at Tropicana! Mary the manager is amazing — she goes above and beyond to make this community feel like home. You can tell she truly cares about the residents. She makes the student housing experience so much better!

The service from the front desk is amazing at Tropicana

Took a tour with my son at Tropicana Del Norte SBCC residence hall. The property was awesome and our tour guide was so thorough and informative.

Tropicana has a great staff that is very committed to creating a positive experience for students. I lived here my senior year at UCSB and loved it! There are lots of fun events to get to know new people within the community and I really liked living in an environment with other students who were also focused on their academics.

I’ve truly enjoyed my time at Tropicana Gardens. I lived in a UCSB dorm during my first year, but I was never a fan of the dining hall food. Here, though, the food is actually good! Plus, the bedrooms are spacious, and you only have to share a bathroom with 2-3 people max, which is a huge bonus.

I lived at Gardens during my freshman year and had an amazing experience! The property is within walking distance of the UCSB campus, and there's a bus stop right in front of the main lobby. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the RAs are approachable and easy to talk to. If you're a UCSB student looking for a great off-campus community, I highly recommend it.

After reviewing my options in IV housing, I decided on tropicana because their rent is about the same as other leasing companies but it includes utilities and tropicana gardens has a meal plan included in the rent, so overall it is a better deal.

I lived at Tropicana Gardens during my first year, and I absolutely loved it! The front desk staff were always super friendly and helpful. The RAs were also awesome—they helped me meet a ton of new people and made the whole college experience way less intimidating. I also stayed in a triple, and it was surprisingly spacious for a dorm. Overall, Tropicana Gardens was a great place to live, and I definitely recommend it!

From the food, to the close proximity to campus, to the positive attitude from each of the staff, there isn't really much more you could ask for. The cafe was suprisingly very good and there is a pretty nice game room which I made use of pretty often. What I enjoyed most though about Tropicana was the RAs who seemed like they actually really cared about everyones well-being. Would recommend!

The property is super close to UCSB's campus and practically near the center of IV. The amenities are great, especially with the addition of events happening weekly! Also love that it's furnished.
