At the heart of Missouri, Columbia is truly one of America’s greatest college towns. The University of Missouri sits right at the center of the city, and generally serves as the cultural hub for the wider community. Locals, whether connected directly to the university or not, regularly visit campus for sporting events, concerts, gallery exhibitions, lectures, and more. Just north of campus, Downtown Columbia features a thriving mix of coffee shops, restaurants, nightclubs, taverns, and performance venues, largely catering to the huge numbers of students from Mizzou, as well as the smaller Stephens College and Columbia College.
Of course, the community extends well beyond the collegiate environment at the city center. The University of Missouri Health Care system is the second-biggest employer in town, so the community of healthcare professionals in town is quite extensive. I’ve lived at the Adora townhomes for 2 years now! The complex is in a safe neighborhood on the south side of Columbia. They have a courtesy officer for safety, a quick and well mannered maintenance team if anything goes wrong, and the landscaping team keeps up very well! It’s a nice and clean community to live in. Very pet friendly! You see many people walking their dogs at night and the area is kept clean with many sanitary doggy clean up stations. The pool is a nice amenity during the summers and the hot tub is great for winter. The clubhouse and staff are always doing fun giveaways and keeping the community active with game nights seasonally. The shuttle is great if you are a college student and is always available. They provide quick text updates to the community if the office is closed or if there are treats at the office on special occasions so you don’t really miss out on anything. The gym is not too crowded and has 24 hour access which is rare in college complexes. Overall, it’s been a very nice and easy place to live. The staff are accommodating and really seem like they want to help and make the community a better place.

I have lived here for around two years now, and I love it! The buildings are well laid out, providing enough space in each bedroom, the kitchen is big enough to fit me and my roommates items, and it is in a quaint part of Columbia, making it nice to relax after classes!

This is my first year here, and I'm very happy. The rooms are very spacious, and I feel like I have so much room to decorate and store my things; the place I lived beforehand was half this size and charged me the same amount I pay currently. There have been issues with our water heater breaking, but both times, the issue was resolved within a few days. When we had other issues, they were resolved the same day or the next. The staff are very friendly, and the shuttle having 3 stops throughout the complex is incredibly convenient--especially in winter. I'm also a fan of the parking lot for our unit being directly outside my door.

After a few months of living at the Adora, I have enjoyed my experience to resign for the next leasing term. Overall, I appreciate the amenities and maintenance staff the most. I appreciate that maintenance is quick and efficient! Only issue that I have experienced so far would be the trash pickup. After numerous times of not having trash taken out (Yes, it was placed during the correct timeframes), we were unable to be taken out of the trash pickup service which is frustrating. Other than delayed or missing the trash pickup, I have enjoyed my time here. Amenities are great too with the office hosting many resident events, decent gym equipment, and hot tub / pool!

I enjoy this property very much I am signing up for my second year here. I have no complaints, only a very small one it being that my trash rarely gets taken out. This being the only complaint I am extremely grateful because the previous places I lived at I had so many complaints and problems. I enjoy living here very much. It's a very relaxing area and the staff is very nice. They do the best they can to help you out with any issues and maintenance is very quick and efficient.

I was in a 4x4. Tons of space throughout the whole apartment, large room and closet. Nice patio out back. It’s in a great part of town and near lots of things. The management was helpful and very nice. Maintenance has been quick to response, normally within 24 hours (the first week or two after move in was slow if it wasn’t emergent but that is understandable). The gym is very basic but good for a quick work out. The bus is back to the complex every 40 minutes and makes commuting very easy. The driver is also a great guy. Overall a nice place to live. It was cleaned well for move in although, there was some paint on door knobs and other random spots but overall definitely worth the price.

Great place for a college student to live. The units are spacious and modern. The gym is nice and there is a lot of grassy areas for pets. The maintenance staff has also been great. They’re quick to respond to requests and have helped us with issues we’ve had.

Seems great at first for the price, but it is so badly managed. There are only two maintenance guys for the whole complex, and with the cheap stuff they fill the apartments with they should really have a lot more. Management is non-existent and talking to somebody who can actually do something requires jumping through more hoops than that guy in Madagascar with the circus. The apartment is in awful condition, with the parking lot and amenities falling apart and your apartment seeming like it's soon to follow.

The Adora Townhomes are awesome if you want a place not too far from campus that is inclusive and quiet! I love that the area around the Adora has lots to do and many places to eat at. There is a pool outside the clubhouse and a great 24/7 gym with weights, treadmills and a yoga/stretching room. The sand volleyball court is my personal favorite touch. The townhomes are spacious, which is especially nice if you live with 3 other people. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

Pretty good for student living! Prices are reasonable and you get a lot of space, location is peaceful. Shuttle is convenient and maintenance team is awesome. WiFi is spotty but that's my only complaint!

The staff at the front office are always helpful and fun to talk to, their shuttle is on time and drivers are incredibly nice and fun to talk to. The townhomes themselves are big and nice! and maintenance is always speedy with any issues that pop up.

I am a current resident here and love it, I've been here since August and the management team is amazing. The property is in a cozy, quieter area of southern Columbia with easy access to anything you could need, restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. And I love the proximity to both Cosmo-Bethel and Rock Bridge parks for my dogs! A straight shot to the university also makes for a pleasant morning commute.

great customer service and upkept apartments! Maintanace is always prompt
So far me and my roommates have loved living here, the community is nice and we enjoy it a lot. We have had only a couple minor things but they were all taken care of in a quick manner. We have had nothing but a good experience.
Best place I’ve lived so far in college! The maintence men are great and we have a lot of space!
The clubhouse staff is always courteous and helpful, and offers lots of great events throughout the year. Only downside is our apartment was in bad condition when we got here and needed to be cleaned and have furniture replaced.
The kitchen and living room are huge. Great bedroom spaces with large closets!
I’ve really enjoyed the Adora. It’s been the best place I’ve lived so far. The management team in phenomenal and the maintenance staff is quick.
Amenities are great, quiet, spacious apartment, only downside would be the cell service. Other than that, great apartment.
This is my first year living here and it is super nice. The maintenance team is very helpful and always gets my work orders done within a couple days. Management is super helpful whether I call or walk-in. I highly recommend living here, it's very quiet so i do not have to worry about op cars or anything like that.
I love living at the Adora. Maintenance is always quick to fix things, everyone at the front are very nice and helpful, and i love having the space.
They do a fantastic job walking myself along with my roommates along the renewal process insuring we get the best deal and the same unit.
I have lived at adora for a year now and already renewed! Great staff, great amenities and it’s a calm and quiet spot to stay off campus. highley recommend!! me and my roomies love it here!

1. The renters make frequent downgrades. This school year they downgraded: Thermostat resulting in you being able to control it less Sinks and showers resulting in weaker water pressure for both And worst of all, toilets. They constantly break. Not clog, but break, cannot flush even though there is nothing clogging the pipes. As one person living in a 2 bathroom house, the toilets have broken 3 times and had to be fixed, which is made worse by: 2: Slow maintenance. In a house with 2 broken toilets, I have spent the past 3 days submitting multiple maintenance requests. No response despite this being an incredibly urgent request (sleeping is difficult with the strong odor of poop throughout the room, and oh yea, I can't use the bathroom). The management here is offensively horrible, and it's a shame such a nice looking place has such god awful management. Over the past year the price went up and the quality went down, and I assume that trend will continue. TLDR: The place looks very nice, but the management is not worth it, and before you're even halfway done with your contract you'll be trying to find ways to break it.
Management does little to resolve issues. Did not clean our unit before we moved in. Damages before we moved in weren’t fixed until we complained. Failed to lock our door after maintenance visit and no one was home. Would not resign if I had to.

Break ins happen literally every week. As a young college student, I feel incredibly unsafe living here. Management doesn’t seem to care or do anything to reassure residents. They only care about money. I would give negative stars if I could.
