The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Town Commons Apartments
I stayed for a year lease, it was pretty ok. The management & maintenance was awesome! The apartment itself is definitely outdated. The neighbors also, are bitter & weird. A few people were nice but majority were judgy and strange. As stated, apartments are super outdated, so had to have them come fix things A LOT. Plumbing is absolutely awful. As well as the AC doesnt blast at all so its extremely hot in the summers because the windows dont contain anything & have leaks. As well as in the winter it is FREEZING so bundle up. Very safe and quiet area though which is nice.
This apartment complex cheated me out of one month’s rent. Do not stay here! Money is given priority over human kindness and following-through on promises.
I’ve lived here for about 7 months and I’m sincerely happy to have chosen Town Commons. The apartment has everything I need, there is ample parking and the neighbors are generally courteous. Having the washer and dryer in the unit is a must. I always feel safe here. Town Commons is very dog friendly and has multiple clean up stations for when I walk my dog. That being said, you are obviously going to hear dogs barking from time to time. I love dogs so it doesn’t bother me. Kristin, the community manager, is super kind, helpful and very responsive. Mark handles maintenance requests very efficiently, is always friendly and nice to talk to. The apartments are very close to various shopping areas including adorable downtown Howell, and there are plenty of must try food options as well. Overall I don’t think I could have asked for more.
Town Commons is a great place to live! Fast maintenance service from Mark, pet friendly and Kristen is very helpful as well!
I stopped in to take a tour and was very warmly received by Kristen, the community manager. She was very professional, attentive, and accommodating to the needs of my family. She worked very hard for us as we were dealing with a very sensitive time issue. I would recommend this place to everyone. The townhouses/apartments are lovely and of much better quality than the surrounding complexes we toured. Working with Kristen has been such a joy and we are looking forward to enjoying our new home and community.
Terrible place to be. Noise complaints are thrown away and nothing is done about them. You DO NOT get what you pay for. Broken appliances, bad insulation, and loud neighbors. The trash is never kept up with so 5/7 days a week there's trash all over the parking lot. Can never get ahold of the office since the other manager left on maternity. Everyone's moving out and no one's moving in. Overall it's a bad place to bring/raise a family and wouldn't recommend to anyone.
I visited a few weeks ago and I was so impressed. I'm looking to move in next August and am looking forward to my first apartment! I really would love to win free rent for life! -Abby, Hartland, MI
Property Manager at Town Commons Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you in August!
I was considering putting this apartment at four stars simply because of the price but on second thought, the value is fair. The area is very safe compared to others, neighbors are polite as you would hope during the few encounters you have. The rooms themselves are very clean, mine, as I believe the majority of them, has a quality washer and dryer included in the apartment itself as well as stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The master room is very spacey and has its own walk-in closet and bathroom. The place is set up for multiple people, so despite the extra cost of it all, it is very easy to lower your costs with other people. Close to Downtown Howell and nearly right next to a Kroger for easy shopping (and points!). All in all, a very good choice and a great place to call home.
