Oak Creek is a suburban lakefront community just twenty minutes south of Downtown Milwaukee. With its close proximity to the larger city, low crime rate, and numerous high-performing public schools, Oak Creek serves as a highly popular home base for many Milwaukee commuters.

While mostly a residential community, there are a few large shopping centers positioned along Howell Avenue. LOVE it here!

Everyone is SUPER friendly especially Liz & Selena. Jason is also as equally friendly. I moved from a 1 bed to a 2 bed and both of my units were super cozy & felt like home. Rent is very affordable compared to other areas in Oak Creek and Internet/Water/Sewer and Garbage are all included. SUCH a great deal and the pool is always clean & decent size! Jason put new appliances in my new unit and new doors. Makes such a difference! 10/10 recommend this place!

Friendly Staff

Rodney from the office is very helpful and friendly. My primary language is Spanish and he helps communicate my needs to maintenance,etc. Any concerns or issues at immediately resolved.

Don't live here

Just don't live here! Save yourself the time, money and headache! The staff is very very rude, The whole office is very unprofessional. The neighbors are not friendly and there are dog fights constantly in the dog park. The apartment is too small for what you pay rent for. The garbage is a joke. It is always overfilling and there are so many squirrels on the property it makes it worse. There is much more I would love to say but have decided to just give a breif warning instead. There are many nicer places to live in the area. Don't live here!

Worth the money

Living at Timber Ridge has been great because of the location and continual updates to the property. Every year rent goes up a bit, but I haven't been able to convince myself to move yet. In the 5 years I've lived here there have been new stairwells, LED lighting, parking lot repaving, new windows, new toilets, balcony updates, laundry machines, and a new dog park with good trees. Hopefully the appliances are next. Neighbors and pets can be noisy, freeway traffic is a constant hum, and management is mostly hands-off, but maintenance is typically fast. Being in a safe area about 5 minutes from groceries, restaurants, parks and the airport are what seals the deal here.

No security

I just move in one week ago and somebody stole the catalytic converter from my car. No security cameras or safety guarantee for your car. Complain with the manager and they pretty much said “good luck”. Don’t move here

A good experience

We have been renting for 2 years and will be renewing again when this lease is up. The building we have been renting in has a lot of open parking, which is great when guests come to visit. Maintenance has been very responsive to any needs. The office staff have been helpful and friendly when we have had questions. They were patient and helpful when we decided to rent a garage and transfer to an apartment nearer to the garages. The grounds are well maintained and we have enjoyed the flowers and trees in the spring. Only substantive complaint is that the vendor they use for the laundry machines is slow to fix the machines when they have an error code, and it feels like the same machine will error out again in a few weeks. The location is also very conveniently located near to shopping on 27th street, Drexel Town Square, and now IKEA. Added bonus is that the movie theater across the highway has half price Tuesdays! While there is a lot of construction going on I-94, it has been great to be able to jump on it so quickly. Overall we would recommend the complex to others.

Do not live here!

The apartments are all around terrible. The actual units are outdated, dirty (old carpeting, blinds, etc..), and the interior walls are cracking... making it extremely cold all year long and causes your electric bill to be extremely high. The staff is not helpful and will most likely not be available to you for any assistance at any time. If you have any sort of request for repair it will take days for anyone to follow up and you will more than likely have to call to make sure someone is eventually coming. The laundry rooms are disgusting. Trash disposal is a pain, not only are most of the cans far from the apartments they are usually over flowing.

Among our 322 apartments, we offer four options on apartment styles ranging from our non-renovated “walnut” apartments on up to newly renovated “maple” options. We take our time explaining those different options to all prospects, allowing each applicant to select the style that best fits their interests and in some cases, their budget. We are proud to say we have made many updates throughout the years beyond renovated apartment styles, including new HVAC systems, new windows and patio/balcony doors, new fitness equipment, new laundry machines, parking lot resurfacing, new stairwells, and continued maintenance of our pool and dog park just to name a few. We do agree that there is an opportunity to improve our waste management situation and we are actively working on that. Office staff is on site 6 days per week, with maintenance on site 5 days per week with additional emergency services available 24/7. We also offer resident services 24/7 via our online portal. Disappointments

The overall condition of the apartment was satisfying and response to repairs needed was good. It is definitely run by a corporation who is looking to make money. When I signed the lease, I had to agree to 16 months because there was not an "opening" for moving out after 12 months and it would have been during the winter. My lease ended in February. Isn't that winter? After 3 months, I was told that the monthly rent did not include the $ 30 for pets and had to make a payment to cover that even though it was their error. At the end of the lease and moving out, the maintenance supervisor walked through the apartment as I was cleaning and gave an ok to the condition. My security deposit was returned with money taken out to replace the carpeting because it was "stained and smelled of urine." I contend that neither was true but management said it was. Very frustrating. I asked for proof but was told the "damaged" carpeting had been disposed. My recourse is nothing against a corporation. FUTURE RENTERS BEWARE.

We offer different lease terms based on the time of year due to not having leases expire during the winter months. This may have been the case in your situation. Upon visiting our website or in person at the community, all information is made available to our prospective residents and the tools they will need to make a decision based on their needs and preferences. For example, rent schedules and deposit amounts. This information is available in writing and is provided via email in most cases well before the application process has begun. If for some reason there was an oversight on our part, we apologize. When inspecting apartment homes we are very thorough to ensure we are offering the best home for the next resident. This includes replacing carpeting that has been damaged due to staining or pet urine. It is important to mention that you were only charged the pro-rated replacement cost. Our lease terms are structured to expire throughout the year so it favorable for our residents who are moving out to find another home easily. Depending on the time of year, we may offer a lease that is longer than 12-months. This also allows the property to balance the number of lease expirations throughout the year. At the time of move out, we walk the unit thoroughly to make sure any damage, other than normal wear and tear, is noted. When there is carpet that is damaged by pet urine, a third-party carpet cleaner verifies the carpet cannot be cleaned and must be replaced. We’re sorry your move out experience was less than ideal. STAY AWAY FROM TIMBER RIDGE IF YOU CAN

This place is a complete joke! The staff are only nice to you when they are trying to get you to move in. Once you're all moved in they begin to treat you with minimum respect because they know they've suckered you into a lease. DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO SUCH A TRASH PLACE. This is not a place you can call "home". They think that proper communication is by sending an email which is unfair to those who don't check their emails regularly or who aren't technology savvy. They made sure they to put notes on people's doors notifying them of their annual pool party which was a FLOP but neglected to leave an importance notice on residents doors about construction and parking procedures. This complex is greedy for cash and lack the service that should come with the high rates of living here. STAY AWAY

We do our best to provide a quality community for all of our valued residents and take all forms of feedback very seriously. As you noted, a recent road construction project is currently underway to improve the surface of our parking lot. We apologize if you feel you were not as well informed as you would have liked to be. We would like to point out that while we did send out email blast notifications, we also communicated with everyone through a two-page letter that was hand-delivered by our staff to every one of our resident’s doors. We also posted flyers, signs and barricades in advance of the project start date. We feel this multi-layered communication method clearly indicated the upgrades to come in a timely and effective manner. We certainly understand this project may have caused various inconveniences as it relates to parking, traffic, walking distances, etc. However, the construction crew worked quickly, and our staff feels we did everything we could to make this go as smoothly as possible. We are pleased with the outcome of the project and sincerely hope you enjoy the improvement as well! Additionally, we thank you for attending our Annual Resident Pool Party. We put a lot of consideration into this event to make it an enjoyable time for our residents and to show our appreciation. Very happy here

Very happy here because not only is it affordable, but kept up really well. Always got good service from the staff. Maintenance crew was quick and efficient when needed. Lived here for three years and would still be here except I had to move out of state. Definitely recommend this as a good choice.

Go somewhere else

Awful and rude staff. I worked with Caroline while inquiring and signing up for my lease, she was pleasant but I never saw her again after signing the lease. Ive had to deal with the property managers on two occasions. Both of which ended with two different people raising their voices at me. All for simply questioning them on concerns I had. Aside from that I've called (and haven't received responses) because of the excessive amounts of spiders in my house, moisture damage seeping through the walls, the stale smells that fill the home whenever I turn on the A/C, and the fact that they were routing all the lighting in the common area hallway that tenants SHARE through my home causing me to have an extremely high energy bill (the lights stay on 24/7). Awful place to leave. Steer clear and find somewhere better.

This Place Really Does Suck.

Been Living here more than half a year, and can not wait to get out of my lease. To be fair the apartments inside are in decent shape. I had several outlets in the unit that do not work at all. Water leaks in the bathroom 24/7. The Management at this place is a complete joke...... Send you emails threatening to tow your car even if you are parked in your own spot. I could go on and on and on. Stay away from this place if you can.

Affordable and nice

I have been here 9 years and it's been better than your average apartment experience. You can have a pet. There's a pool and new work out room . The grounds are nice and it feels like you're out of the city, yet you're really just next door ! The apartments are a bit older but roomy and in good shape. They try their best to keep up with it and for what you get it's very affordable and nice. It feels like home. I hope to stay for a long time.

Overally, it's a beautiful place!

I really love my apartment building. It is quiet, big, and the outdoors is beautiful all year round. I truly enjoy living at Timber Ridge.

Better Or Worse

Two bedroom apartment starting just under 800 a month (795). Located conveniently right next to the interstate for easy commuting. Also located close to department and grocery stores. Sadly there is no garage parking. If you're a night owl you better get used to the bugs as they will be everywhere because every apartment has a light only a couple inches from the door which attracts and aids in the bugs ending up inside the apartment.The only thing included with rent is water, so don't expect that energy bill to be too low. Almost everyone here seems to have pets. This is an excellent place for dog lovers. So you have both the good and the bad. I seem to be unfortunate enough, to have things needing multiple repairs since moving in only months ago. As I am not one for bugs and I don't have any pets, I can't see me living here once the original lease expires, but you can weigh the pros with the cons and make a decision yourself.

The complex you'll brag about to your mom

This is the perfect building for people who want all the amenities without a giant price tag. Go for a swim, hit the gym, and while you're there connect to the FREE WIRELESS INTERNET. With being minutes away from shopping and restaurants, you won't be sure if you want to go out and have fun or stay near and meet the friendly neighbors and their even friendlier furry friends!
