Walker’s Point has become a restaurant hotspot in Milwaukee. Newer lofts mingle side-by-side with older brick apartment buildings in this quasi-industrial, trendy neighborhood, which sits immediately southwest of Milwaukee's downtown.
As you stroll the streets past the neighborhood's mix of popular bars and tapas joints, you’ll find an incredible mix of upscale choice. Restaurants in Walker's Point tend to use locally-sourced food, some from artisanal producers right in the neighborhood. National Avenue and Interstate 43 serve as the major thoroughfares in this part of Milwaukee, making it easy to commute across the river or anywhere else.

Property Ratings at Timber Lofts MKE
I've been a tenant here since 2020. The location is convenient with respect to walkability for food, drinks and fun. I live on the historic side and enjoy the exposed wood and brick aesthetic. Did have a nice view of the river but industry has built up around the property since 2020. Easy to have pets in the building. Maintenance staff is prompt and friendly as is the management team. Only complaint is lack of secure storage for packages and I've had some packages taken a couple times over the last 5 years.
I love living in these lofts. It’s In a charming, walkable neighborhood with everything I need close by including the freeway. But honestly, the building manager Laura is the best part of living here. She’s personable, attentive, and a genuinely thoughtful person. It’s rare to find someone who not only takes care of the building but also shows up for the people in it. She’s helped me with things beyond just tenant concerns, and it makes the space feel more like a community than just an apartment complex. I’ll always remember her helping me when I needed it. The building itself is beautiful.. sustainably built, which I personally really value, and full of character with exposed brick and pipes that give it a modern-industrial yet cozy feel. It’s a unique, well-cared-for place that I genuinely love coming home to.
I lived at Timber Lofts for almost 2 years, my husband was there for 5 years, and overall, we had a decent experience. The location is one of its biggest strengths — you’re in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, with easy walking access to festivals, restaurants, and the lakefront. It’s a great place to be if you want to stay connected to the city. The building has a chill vibe, and being pet-friendly is a nice perk for animal lovers. That said, there are a few downsides that come with the territory. At times, pet waste was left in the hallways without being cleaned up promptly, which was not a great impression when we had friends visit. Noise levels can also vary — the walls are quite thin, and we had an Airbnb unit next door that occasionally brought in noisy guests. Plus, the dog above us barked at all hours of the night, and that issue was never really addressed but again, comes with the territory. Security was another concern. While downtown living always comes with some risk, there were a couple of unsettling incidents — the mailroom was broken into, and there were a few instances of people entering the building who didn’t live there. There were even a time when people were found squatting in the lobby. I trust the building has/will take steps to improve security, the property managers are very responsive. The amenities were also a mixed bag. They used to have a really nice coffee machine in the lobby, which was a huge perk. When it broke, they replaced it with a single small Keurig — not quite the same experience. Additionally the Maintenance group, though timely, sometimes would leave small messes behind, like batteries on the floor or furniture not put back after service. Despite those issues, we enjoyed our time here because of the relaxed atmosphere and unbeatable location. If you’re someone who stays up late, doesn’t mind some noise, and wants to be in the middle of the action, this place could work well for you. Just be prepared for a few quirks that come with the convenience of downtown living.
I love the cream city brick! Location is great- very walkable and many new restaurants and businesses in Walker's Point that makes it so desirable! The staff and maintenance is awesome - always on point to meet your needs!
Living at Timber Lofts has been a great experience. The building is beautiful with a lot of character, and the historic details give it a unique feel. Walkers Point is an awesome neighborhood with tons of restaurants, bars, and local spots within walking distance. The staff have also been great. Any maintenance issues I’ve had were fixed within a day. Overall, it’s a solid place to live and I would definitely recommend it.
Timber Lofts is an awesome spot. The amenities are top-notch, the staff is friendly and helpful, and maintenance is always on point. The location is unbeatable with great walkability, and there’s plenty of nearby shuttle access to American Family Field, Fiserv Forum, and other event destinations. The apartments themselves have quality appliances, well-designed layouts, and real character. Parking is convenient too. All around, a fantastic place to live.
Beautiful historic apartments each of their own unique feel, lots of space updated appliances and management is always on point.
Extremely walkable location next to all kinds of restaurants and things to do in Walkers Point. I live in a studio on the cream city brick side which has a great layout and 2 nice big windows. The maintenance staff is on point and the property management team is always super helpful - most well-run apartment I've ever lived in. Come for the aesthetics stay for the entertaining lil pet of the month features in the elevator. Great bike room too!
