The mix of cosmopolitan flair and low-key atmosphere once led LA Weekly to speculate that North Hollywood just might be the best place to live in the Los Angeles area. This community has become popular among artists, writers, filmmakers, and actors seeking balance between easy access to Hollywood and a quieter, more suburban home environment.
The local food and bar scene is robust, and the bohemian vibe of the NoHo Art District attracts all manner of offbeat creative types. Uncommon among Los Angeles-area communities, much of North Hollywood is quite walkable, with food, drinks, galleries, and performance venues just a leisurely stroll away from one another. Thankfully for renters, all of the perks of this location come at a relatively affordable cost. Most renters pay an average of $2,282 to rent in North Hollywood, about $500 less than the Los Angeles average.

Property Ratings at Ticino at NoHo
If you move into the Living at Noho apartments, do so with no expectations. The management is not the best, and they are definitely understaffed for the volume of tenants they have and it shows. It's fairly reasonable for the ammenities you do get. Maintenance is slow. Sometimes you don't even get the service you requested. It's very impersonal, and very clear that they have one motive only - to fill the units. There's a very high turnover of tenants. However, like I said, if you move in with no expectations you don't really have a problem. Keep to yourself and you'll enjoy the living situation.
The apartment itself is pretty great. Very big with a decent view of the Arts District, high end appliances and washer dryer in unit. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and the metro system. I travel a lot and a cab ride to Burbank airport is less than $20. My building has a recycling program (so they say) and all you do is throw everything down the chute and they sort it for you. Great amenities like a rooftop pool, conference room and a gym as well. The negatives are the late night noise, a few disrespectful residents and sometimes the facility (they don't seem to maintain the public areas as well as they used to and the elevators seem to go down more often these days - no pun intended)
I can't believe I have been so lucky to find this place. Living all throughout L.A., I wanted somewhere a stone's throw away from decent bars and fun places to hang out at night, but not within the traffic infested downtown area. This apartment has great surroundings and is near everything, restaurants, parks, some schools. Looking for a place to stay, look no further!!!
I like the apt I'm in but I wish the amenities were newer, up to date so to speak. For the price I pay as an artist I don't think I get my full worth. I also wish to get hep for my rent especially when work is slow. It would help me a great deal to get to my goals
