Property Ratings at The Winds at Poplar Creek
Moved in July 2018 and started having issues with “maintenance” early on - maintenance would ignore requests unless we called management to complain (had to do this several times before something was done). We were told several things could not be fixed. I second the complaints from other posters - 1) maintenance patches things together shoddily until things fall apart again (don’t expect and cosmetic repairs when you move in); 2) no HVAC service despite poor airflow. Maintenance “doesn’t do that.” Last month, they left the door open on a maintenance call and allowed our pets to escape. Luckily, I came home and found my pets wandering the hall. Management has recently changed, and Lincoln properties manages the units as of last year, but so far we’ve only been promised changes that haven’t happened (e.g., carpet replacement). And here’s the crowning jewel: management sent us an in-app notification letting us know that their payment portal was down, and so we were liable for late fees. There was no email, no call - just straight through an app with no notifications. “Our payment server is down, so if we don’t receive your payment [through no fault of your own], we will hold you responsible and charge a fee.” ADVICE TO MANAGEMENT: This review is the result of your own practices. Replace incompetent maintenance. Listen to your tenants. Don’t threaten to charge fees before offering a solution and an apology. If you hold your tenants responsible for your own shortcomings, you will be held responsible in public forums.
My experience so far has been good. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful. Plenty of nearby retail and other shopping; The property is beautiful in the summertime, peaceful and quiet. I would recommend this apartment community based on my experience.
All maintenance requests are answered quickly and they always find a way to solve the problem.
Every things are ok. But flooring - Carpet and tiles at the entree are in filthy conditions. Requested to look into.

I have already recommended Winds at Poplar Creek for couple of my friends. The new office staff are really good. I wouldn't have moved, since I had a desperate reason I had to make a move. Given a chance in Schaumburg I would always prefer Winds At Polar Creek.

This apartment community is a great place to live. It is quiet, clean and the people in my building are wonderful. Also, the tenants with pets keep the area very clean and pick up after their dogs.
Since it won't allow me to type my entire experience. Long story short was rudely handled by one of the employees and the other one did not put wife and I on the appointment list to view the property even though she said she would and we had proof via email that it was ok. EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND DUE TO THE VERY POOR EXPERIENCE!! Also Megan tends to write her own reviews of the property on several websites so please be advised what you may be reading about this place may or may not be true. Please do your research..
love the community . we are close to the mall and grocery store parks for the kids. The people that work at legacy poplar creek are super nice and helpful and when there is a problem they always take care of it within 24 hours.
Nice, clean, safe community. Tons of amenities including washer/dryer in every apartment. Large closets. Secure buildings. The office staff is friendly, professional and very accommodating! I love living here!
