Scott sits just five miles west of Lafayette, yet it provides a scenic rural setting where residents enjoy plenty of space and a friendly community. The town’s “Wild West” atmosphere is long gone, and today it’s better known as the boudin capital of the world. The flavorful Cajun sausage has put Scott on the forefront of Louisiana’s vast culinary landscape.
There’s a variety of apartments and homes available in Scott. Some will put you closer to the amenities of Lafayette, while others are surrounded by farmland and forests. Cajun restaurants serving crawfish and cracklins and popular local bars can be found near I-10 and US-90. Walmart and Acadiana Mall round out the retail offering to the south. Letting dogs in the pool area and all the loud noise late at nights is something I think is not great. The front office made it sound like it was quiet and everyone respects the rules. It isn’t. Even with parking some people don’t even stay back here and taking all the parking spots. This neighborhood has changed. Too many young people.

I had a family emergency and needed to delay my move-in. The staff was extremely gracious and easy to work with. When I arrived, my apartment was in perfect condition. The grounds and facilities are immaculate. The neighbors are polite and helpful.

So far it’s been good. The maintence team have been amazing, even telling us hi and asking how we are doing when they see us out and about in the complex. The office staff has been nice and helpful when needed though we don’t contact them often.

My experience at The Waters at West Village began on a positive note, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. I moved into a brand-new apartment that had never been occupied before. However, within just two months, the vinyl tile floors started coming up. At first, it wasn't too serious, but by October, I submitted a maintenance request. The team attempted to fix the issue by gluing the floors down, but it only worsened, especially in my bedroom. As the flooring continued to lift, creating a serious tripping hazard, I submitted another maintenance request and invited the leasing manager to see the problem in person. She declined my invitation, citing the need to sort Christmas decorations.Instead, she promised to come by the following Monday, which coincided with Thanksgiving week. I explained that I had family coming over and was concerned about the safety risk. When she finally arrived, she acknowledged the problem, saying it would only take a day to fix. She also asked if I wanted to switch to a different unit. However, since it was during holiday season and my apartment was fully furnished and decorated, I preferred to stay, provided the floors could be repaired. Despite explaining the urgency of the situation to her supervisor, I was left waiting for months with no resolution. What followed was a series of unprofessional delays, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. Though promises were made that the issue would be handled quickly, the floors weren't repaired for over four months. Both the leasing manager and the property management team failed to follow up or provide any clarity when I repeatedly asked about the next steps as the floors were getting worse. I even inquired about moving to a different unit, specifically one facing the pond, but was told there were none available. They assured me that the repairs would be quick, but there was no clear plan in place. What is most disappointing is how little the management team seemed to care about my actual living experience. I’m heartbroken!!

Pretty good so far was a bit of a rough start out but staff was very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly it is the first week we are here
My move in process was very easy and smooth. From the utility company to the internet it was such an easy fast process. Maddie was very kind and it has been a pleasure living at the waters this far! The amenities are top tier. The community has great resident events. I love the Starbucks coffee on hand. And my apartment was clean and beautiful upon move in. I don’t plan on going anywhere!

Overall the staff is so friendly and understanding. The community events are such a great way to meet neighbors! My family and I enjoy the amenities. The noise when you are the downstairs neighbors is entirely frustrating. The dog park is usually wet due to sprinklers and the dogs running through cause mud. I would like to suggest making this your home but only on the top floor.

This was my girlfriend and I’s first experience moving into an apartment (only ever lived in houses) and we have been so thankful! The staff are all so kind, neighbors too! We feel safe and have loved creating the coziest space to call home!

I haven’t been here very long, but every one has been super helpful. Maddie made my move in process seamless and stress free. I moved from a few hours away and she kept me in the loops and stayed in contact. She even followed up after move in the make sure everything went perfectly! Thank you!!

I have been a Resident since July of 2024 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here! Ms Kristin the property manager along with her team do a fabulous job! From keeping our apartment community clean, making prompt maintenance repairs when needed to having lively and fun events! I am very happy I chose Waters at West Village in Scott to reside! It’s literally like I am staying at a resort every time I come home! Awesome job everyone and keep up the great work!

Friendly office staff. Nice clean buildings and easy to work with. We love it here. Soundproof walls is a great plus! Give it a shot, we love the amenities and it is worth every penny!

I love it here. I’ve had no issues since moving in. The staff is great and makes you feel welcome every time you see them. The amenities are great too. I feel safe and comfortable here.

I have enjoyed living at The Waters, the community is so welcoming. If I have a problem it is solved right away. My dog loves going to the dog park to meet new dogs.
