Located in northwestern Ohio, Bowling Green combines small-city living with the energy of a college town. Home to Bowling Green State University, this community of approximately 30,000 residents offers rental options from apartments near campus to homes throughout established neighborhoods. The downtown district preserves historic architecture from the city's oil boom era, particularly along Wooster Street. One-bedroom units in Bowling Green average $669 per month, while two-bedroom homes typically rent for $859.
The city stands out for its environmental initiatives, including four 257-foot wind turbines west of the city limits. Community events bring residents together throughout the year, including the Black Swamp Arts Festival, a free arts and music celebration each September. The 13-mile Slippery Elm Trail connects Bowling Green to North Baltimore, offering opportunities for cycling and outdoor activities.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Vue @ 214 Apartments
3.5/5 for me I lived in one of the upstairs studio apartments from Nov 2023 to Oct 2024. The unit I moved into was recently renovated, so it was a pleasant living experience overall. The kitchen area is small and has a gas oven. So, the apartment will get very hot if you cook or bake anything for an extended period of time (especially in the warmer seasons). I didn't experience any pests in the apartment except for fruit flies in the warmer season. Despite the property allowing pets and plenty of tenants with dogs, there was almost no loud barking in the apartment lived in. I didn't have to make too many maintenance issues. Maintenance is easy to reach and usually has repairs done within 24 hours. The only times I needed to call maintenance were for a leaky sink and to install an A/C window unit(the A/C addition didn't cost me anything; they just forgot to install it when they did renovations.) The community laundry room was a nice bonus. It's cheaper than the other laundromats in Bowling Green and will save you a few bucks(no harm to any of my clothes, either). The common area is nice, but it's annoying that it can only be opened on the west side, and I had to walk all the way around the building to enjoy the patio and common area. Also, the common area and patio should be 24 hr and closed up around 7pm when I lived there. Denizen Management, the company that owns the property, is extremely money-hungry, so be aware. I had to leave because they increased my rent by $ $100, which is insane. If you are a student looking for housing, there are cheaper options and better options if you want to live alone or in a studio. It's a nice apartment complex if you are a non-student, though.
The day I moved in I noticed the COCKROACHES, they most definitely did NOT warn me about this issue before signing the lease. So I called and they said they’d send an exterminator and NOT to treat it on my own in ANYWAY. I waited over two weeks for someone to show up and when they did they lightly sprayed the bathroom and kitchen and I thought that’d be the end to it. But NO I’ve spend my whole lease (12 months)here battling with the disgusting bugs and it hasn’t gotten better in the slightest even with keeping the apartment spotless and clean. Not to mention the stolen items the exterminator had taken while alone in my home for one of the treatments. NOT WORTH THE PRICE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!
The laundry facilities are disgusting and have stained my clothes every time I've tried to use Green Meadows on-site laundry facilities. air conditioning IS NOT included. You have to buy your own( of course they don't mention this when you sign the lease). All they have is a hole in the wall. The apartments get up to 86 degrees Fahrenheit without the heat even ON. Talk about dangerous. Neighbors are incredibly loud, both when in their own apartments and when outside on the property. The apartment complex has a history of STEALING people's bikes and selling them even if they're registered with the office. and last, but not least: Building 10 is infested with mice. If you intend to try to tell the office about mice in your unit, bring mice corpses with you, or they'll yell at you and call you a liar.
I recently moved into Green Meadow Apartment complex. I was lucky enough to move into a renovated room, complete with new appliances and flooring! The apartment complex has just come under new management and they are making plenty of great changes around the complex including renovating the rooms, landscaping, pool access, and easy laundry room access. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable concerning the apartments and the needs of their residents. Overall, a great deal for the space and quality of living provided within the complex!
If you are looking for a cheap place to live, it works. There are bug problem, especially sugar ants, majority in the foundation of the apartments. The painting job and upkeep when renting is poor and majority of their fixtures are extremely outdated. You can make the place look nice but It will not last.
The complex is nice with reasonable prices. For building that are a little older, the bedrooms are quite large and the bathrooms are well updated. Each apartment comes upgraded differently so it's a nice surprise!!!
