The Vineyard at Castlewoods Apartment Homes

The only answer I get when I complain about my downstairs neighbors shaking my floor with loud music at 2 am, is to call the courtesy officer. I have called 4-5 times in the past few months and nothing has been done. I started posting my reviews about this issue I have been having with the office's lack of action on this which got a slight reaction, but by the sound of the noise already starting at 8pm, then it's likely I'll have to call again, so clearly not enough was done. TLDR: If you are on the fence, pick the other place.

We will DEFINITELY not be staying in this complex after our lease is over. The staff is nice and as far as the inside of the apartments, the hardwood flooring is great. However, the inside is full of sealant. The bathtubs and windows looks like someone did a terrible job resealing the same areas about a million times. The outside of the apartments is the WORST I have ever lived in. There is flooding everywhere and the breezeways look like they haven't been pressure washed in at least 20 years. The stairs, walls, and walkways are full of bugs and cobwebs. I guess there aren't any rules as far as maintenance goes or the residents. Residents keep trash bags in the walkways for up to a week at a time, let their dogs run off their leashes, etc. The dumpsters are ALWAYS overflowing, there is only one outgoing mailbox for both sets of apartments, it seems as if the apartments that aren't connected to the office get ignored. We pay too much for these apartments for them to be this gross and for no rules to be placed on the residents for upkeep around them. If you like a clean apartment complex, you don't want to live here!

This place is gross. I moved in 3 weeks ago and I could tell my apartment had not been cleaned. Hair all over the carpet and I also found the tip of a syringe on the floor. The laundry machines don’t work, and water constantly pools on the sidewalks due to their drainage issues. For the price, I expected this place to be much nicer.

Recently visited this property. The staff was very nice and very helpful because I am new to this area. I will be going back for a second visit when I make my final decision.

The Vineyard at Castlewoods is located in a wonderful location. We are moving back from Birmingham and could see ourselves feeling right at home in the area. The apartments themselves seem quite nice, but were not exactly what we thought they'd be. We were looking for something a little more updated.
