Villas at Brentwood

The apartments - layout, room size, natural light - are nice. But ownership could make this a fantastic place to live if they cared to. My 8ft high dining room windows are clouded since move-in, kitchen and bath cabinet surface covering (instead of paint) has been peeling and unsightly, since-move in and no effort to repair either issue. Interior stairwells and hallways have not been cleaned or powerwashed in several years. Pool was great to have - but needs to be scrubbed during the season. Improved lighting installed in garage is a plus. Grounds kept nice. When appliances had issues, or drains clogged, response was immediate - so ownership should pay some attention, spend some money on their investment to make a fantastic complex.

Office staff aware of pest issues. Instead of using my increasingly monthly rent payments to hire a legitimate pest control company to get rid of pests they blame tenants for online shopping and ordering and receiving packages.

This property is in a fantastic location with ample parking, security, and amenities. The service you receive from Karen (office), Julie (office), Chad (maintenance) and the other members of the team is the absolute best. We moved out of state and I wish we could have taken them with us. If we ever move back to the St.Louis area, we will definitely be returning to the Villas at Brentwood.

Extremely overpriced for the quality. Overall, not worth it in the slightest.

There are no words to describe how awful this apartment complex is and continues to be. After nearly 2 years of torture, I completely gave up living here. The staff is incredibly rude, maintenance is extremely terrible, and price is far too high for any sane person to stand. While it is pet friendly, there is limited space to walk your pet, as they have issued 99% of the courtyard to be pet-free. In addition, instead of maintaining the strip of grass for pets, they recently dug it up and filled it with rocks. With no grass, many pets owners have been forced to walk their pets off the complex which is not only unsafe with traffic, but a long way to walk. Further, there were many issues with the appliances provided. The refrigerator never worked properly, despite getting it "fixed" numerous times. The dishwasher quite frequently broke down, and at times took weeks for it to even be looked at by maintenance. The air conditioning stopped working in the blistering Stl summer heat, and it took an entire week for it to start working properly. Also, you can hear straight through the walls, and I often found myself lowering my voice to ensure privacy, or turning on the dishwasher to drown out the neighbors convo. This is no way to live people! You are better off living under the highway down the road than here. All I wanted was a decent, comfortable, place to temporarily stay but I ended up losing my mind. The Brentwood Villas could not have been more unwelcoming, selfish, and uncaring to it's residents. No one should be treated like this. It's just not worth it.

I have lived at The Villas for almost a year and love my apartment. I have a Ds two-bedroom, 1 bath. It is light and sunny with tall windows; The sun room extends the master bedroom and brings in lots of morning light, a great place for all my plants or a place to sit and read. I recommend the third floor. My apt is very quiet with no one above me. I seldom hear any noise; residents are quiet but friendly; many folks walk their pups in the garden areas or in the nearby park. Lots of green space. Bathroom is roomy with two sinks and convenient washer/dryer right there. Maintenance team is great - my washer leaked the first weekend I was there, and they replaced it the same day I called with a new unit. They are always very responsive to my calls with maintenance issues, even changing the light bulbs. Staff is there to receive your packages and secure them locked away. There is a security guard on premises. Parking is secure and well-lit; I can usually park under the covered area if a storm is coming; not a long way to walk when compared to other places. Other reviewers have remarked that the walkways are dirty, but they are like outside sidewalks so it doesn't bother me; just dusty, no garbage or trash there. The grounds are well maintained with flowers; they do need to trim some of the trees near the garage area. Best part is being right next to the YMCA; going to the pool in the evening saved my psyche during a transition time in my life. Location is great, very easy access to everything; can walk to stores and Metrolink. One quirky thing is that some of the windows in some apartments open to the corridors, which are like breezeways, so there's not a view of the outside from these windows.

Don't waste your time, trust me not worth it. If somebody else is paying (i.e. your a Cardinal player then I'm sure for free its doable). But if you are like the 99% of this place, its over prices and under managed. Hallways are loud, paper thin windows and floors. I would never recommend this place. Needs a complete overhaul. In fact my college apt/dorm was better than this place.
