Do. Not. Recommend. I moved here in 2020 and my rent has raised $250 since then. I live in a tiny box with a window unit and no w/d. management makes excuses, not solutions. They fix the outside to lure in the unsuspecting, meanwhile tenants in my building g have windows leaking since I’ve been here, even through the refacing of the outside. That project took two summers for one building, and they didn’t even bother to replace leaking windows. They just slapped in siding and paint around them and told the tenants ‘tough luck’. Tenants on the ground floor have floods every time it rains. Consistently. They charge for the address but don’t live up to it. Even though I’ve been very ill and it will be a huge undertaking for me, I’ll be leaving here. Lipstick on a pig is their standard. That’s the typical response from management. Tough luck.

I am currently a resident and I had high hopes for this place. The water is still Disgusting after they’ve put up in new filters and “water softener”. There’s new construction going on everyday beginning at 9a sometimes earlier, with no warning at all. If you work late nights, have kids, or go to school do not move here. You’ll hear constant banging well into the afternoon. The management thinks it’s ok because they’re “upgrading” but the interior is extremely outdated. The third party doing outside repairs are also very rude they act like they live and pay rent here also. Whole complex just needs to be shut down.

I used to live here but moved because I couldn't justify the benefits for the price they charged. Pros: 1. The leasing office team members & maintenance team were very responsive at beginning. 2. Water bill is included but it comes at a cost. 3. Friendly Neighbors Cons: 1. Constant overfilled dumpsters attracting raccoons. The raccoons damaged my car multiple times and the cost of getting that repaired was around $800; I tried critter repellent and there were no traces of food and whatnot in my car. 2. Appliance/Cabinets are very outdated. It actually boggles my mind that they focus on upgrading the door locks/ac system with the new smart home app you can access from your phone instead of actually making the interior better. 3. The included water is the well water. Murky/Brown/Yellow water coming out of the faucets. I did reach out to the team and the fix is to leave the water running until it's not disgusting... 4. Not sure exactly what happened but the maintenance team hasn't been resolving issues in time. 5. The air vents are very dusty. I lived on the third floor and majority of the vents were located on the ceiling. Thus, a lot of the dust when enter into me when I went to sleep. Every morning, I would spit out mucus from all the dust. 6. I don't think this is the springs fault but the power goes out frequently. I worry whenever it rains while I'm working from home because I know I'll be disconnected at some point. This is a known issue throughout Novi so I dont think this issue will be fixed anytime soon.

Zero stars.disgusting. Mold in walls. Cheap washer/dryer/white trash staff. Nothing works. At all. The scummiest living quarters, a total dump. Moved after a winter without hot water and heat- most of time. Awful water, water pressure, dirty, cheaper than cheap. Should be called sub housing, in fact sub housing is better. No heat 1/4 of winter. Avoid.leaks and holes in floors to outside. Mail issues. Parking is bogus in winter m. Unsafe. Unrealistic. Your car "will" be dented and plowed in before leaving for work. . Grab a bunch of friends and rent a nice home instead.

Currently a resident here and while it’s not the worst place I’ve lived, it’s nowhere near where it should be. The water is well water and is TERRIBLE, constantly coming out yellow or brown, and the water softener they use is terrible too. It makes the water feel soapy and leaves a residue on your skin. Landscaping or some other outside entity is CONSTANTLY here so there is never peace and quiet. They do not enforce lease rules - trash is left everywhere for vermin to come onto the property, dogs bark and make noise at all hours of the day and night and they do nothing, there are tenants here with multiple dogs that are visibly over 100lbs combined yet nothing is done. Recently, they’ve started hiring TruGreen to spray chemical pesticides and TruGreen will come spray all over your patio door and patio, disregarding if you have plants or animals and don’t waste harmful chemicals sprayed on you. The hallways are never cleaned. Any “remodeling” projects that they do are never done in a timely manner and they hire the worst possible companies to do them. There was a period of time that we didn’t get mail for almost 3 months because they decided it was a good idea to remodel the stairways and staircases in the beginning of winter. It was also during Christmas time so none of the packages we needed for gifts were coming in on time as they should. The apartments are outdated, appliances are outdated, carpets are disgusting and never cleaned at lease renewal (like MOST apartments offer for free). The electricity here used to be great when we first moved in but there have been serious issues in the past couple of years with brown outs and losing power multiple times a week sometimes. Additionally, maintenance was great when we first moved in, but now? They’ve hired a bunch of new people who literally do not care one way or another. Maintenance jobs are half-a***d and never done right so the “repairs” don’t stick for long. The only good thing about this place (besides the ducklings that they’ve decided to poison with TruGreen) is the cheaper rent. Which isn’t even the case anymore as they keep raising rent each year but never give residents anything for the raised rent. The only reason we resigned a lease here this year is because it’s not in the budget to move for us this year. Wish it was though. This place is terrible.

My apartment has flooded twice the water from the tap is yellow. Management is horrible. Please don't make the same mistake I have. I have lived here for two years and I am miserable. I am an idiot for resigning my lease.

Please listen when you see this review. The apartment I moved in was so nasty! Hair every where hair in the sink, closet, refrigerator, washer, dryer. Hair was even in the cabinets!!! It smelled soooo bad like they shampoo the carpet with dirty soap water. Water is sooooooooo nasty don’t even bother buying a filter. This is the worse and I honestly don’t think my lease is worth staying in.

It was a nightmare to think I have to live here for whole year to complete lease. Because within first months itself I got really bad experience living here. Such as, The apartment I moved in was way dirty, smelly, half of the stuff broken/non-functional. - Electricity bill is always above $200. - Water is yellow & soapy. NOT SAFE TO DRINK. - RUDE STAFF at leasing. - Maintenance services is always delayed by a month, that too after fighting with them, they will show up and do not repair completely. - And many more flaws and issues. - Do not live in Springs apartment ever.

My last review seems to have disappeared lol, so let's see if this one sticks. I do not recommend living here. At least a few times a month the water turns gross brown/orange/yellow. Rarely do we get a heads up. I've lost count of times I've woken up and gone to shower/get some water, only to find it discolored. It has been so bad that it stained our bathtub. If I would have known about this issue and how pervasive it was, I would absolutely not have moved in. Management needs to either get this fixed or lower the rent and be more transparent about this issue.

I have lived here since fall of 20... less than a year, and the water has needed “flushed” 4x. This means our water is unusable for HOURS. No cooking, no laundry, no showering, as the water is red/orange with minerals. I totally understand it needs to happen every once in a while, but it started last night at 7 and STILL HAS NOT BEEN CLEAR... it’s 10am the next day. My clothes will most likely be ruined as we were not given a window of when to expect this, so I ran a load of laundry. The email said it was starting “now through the 22nd”... what???? You couldn’t be more specific so we could shower and do laundry before this???

I have lived here for about a year and it is not worth the price that they charge. The water is from their well system so it is always yellow (even with filters). If you are trying to shower the water will either burn you or be ice cold. Also, good luck if you need anything fixed.

This complex was recommended to me by a few people I know that live here! This place is great! The layout of the apartment is perfect. The view with all the ducks on our pond is great. Amenities are awesome! Although the washer and dryer we have in our apartment is small it still works we just have to do multiple loads. Maintenance service is great. Would definitely recommend to a friend and we might renew our lease here!

The Springs Apartment is one of the nicest places I've lived in 40 years living in apartments. Five star all the way around; from the grounds, to the area, bedroom, maintenance and management. Truly an amazing experience. Their staff are all very pleasant and professional from top down.
This place is amazing!! We’ve lived here for about 3 months now and couldn’t be happier. Leasing office staff is very nice and helpful, maintenance is very quick to fix any problems, and the apartment is great! We’re already looking into renewing our lease next year

this place is great - not. They love animals. In the winter they let the squirrels live in the attic. They are fine with them running around and scratching at the ceilings and stuff. Complain about it and they will wait until spring and call it resolved. When I had a house I had squirrels in my attic and I called someone to get rid of them. The apartments them self aren't bad. Nothing fancy but they'll do and they do welcome pets even big dogs. I haven't had any issues with other repair requests and my building is quiet.

I just moved here and have never been happier, as the snow melted and the weather got warmer I walked out on my patio and though how lucky I was for having such a terrific view of the pond. The staff has been helpful, the grounds (for what the weather is has been) is very nice. I look forward to the warmer months and using the pool!

I am in my third consecutive lease with the Springs. I have lived in 2 of the different layouts. The apartments are great considering the space, and what is included in rent. I chose this place after researching many other locations within oakland county. The office staff is very helpful. Some buildings are older than others, so some are more prone to things like leaks, but maintenance does a nice job getting repairs done quickly. Bill on the maintenance staff was very professional and clean while in the apartment unattended. It was very much appreciated. I would recommend leasing here.

You will not get your deposit back and if you take them to small claims court. They don’t care. And when you leave they do not do the right thing-they will bully to get your deposit- even if mold exists in their apartment- so plan to lose your deposit. Don’t waste your money.

Lived here for two years, and everything was decent until it was time to move out. Upon moving out, they decided to charge me to replace all the carpet and kitchen counter tops. I vacuumed the carpet when I moved out, and any small stains would've easily been removed by a carpet cleaning machine (pretty standard for apartment complexes). I also cleaned all the kitchen counters before I moved out, and I did not do any damage to them during the time I lived here. Both the carpet and counters were very outdated when I moved in, and they are essentially charging me so that they can update their apartment (they admit in the charges that the carpet was outdated). I called the corporate office to dispute the charges, and the lady there laughed at me for wanting to do so, and then responded sarcastically when I said I was serious about it. This is completely unacceptable behavior from a professional apartment complex. Very dissatisfied!!

For the amount of money I pay to live here, I expect a DECENT living situation. There has been SO much damage done to my apartment since living here from situations that were none of my doing. Upon move in, things that were requested to be fixed on the “green sheet” have still not been completed. I moved in LAST SEPTEMBER! Water (a lot of it) has poured from the bathroom ceiling TWICE now and mold is growing on the bathroom floor. The first time it leaked, they took a month and a half to repair the ceiling (which is now dropping and discolored). Closet doors break almost every time they are opened. Our A/C has been leaking and now the entire apartment smells like musty water and it’s disgusting. On top of it all, every circuit in the apartment apart from the laundry room, back bedroom and bathroom are ALL on the same breaker. I’m not an electrician by any means, but that sounds hazardous to have all circuits from the the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room and hallway together!!! I would LOVE to come home to a peaceful environment after working all day, and I have definitely not had that experience here. Do not move here!!!!!!!

I’ve been here a minute and the upkeep of the stairways is terrible, our neighbors wait on maintenance to pick up the trash on their steps especially lower level apartments, and it’s never done. I don’t know if that the properties fault, or just the lazy neighbors. The upper units need to be repaired for the cracking floors, the noise is ridiculous from above. I visited a new neighbor and she needs to move. People upstairs 3rd level sound like they’re coming through the floor. They need to have a pet area and a non pet area since it’s so large as people with allergies can not rent here, ( because they don’t tell you if their a pet in any apartment above or below you). The office staff is great, they’re helpful, professional, pleasant all the time. Even the maintenance crews are helpful. The units themselves are nice, washer and dryers work like new, they new to put covering over all the parking and have more handicap parking spaces outside of every building. If you move here take the time to visit each level on a Sunday when everyone’s home for noise tolerance.

Drove almost an hour for our appointment. In a snow storm. Then we were told we couldnt see the apartment because of the snow storm. Then added it was no longer available anyway. When asked why we didnt recieve a phone call to reschedule, they replied with "we didnt think anyone would come out today." Meanwhile somebody is still emailing me saying they haven't heard back from me about renting the apartment out....

Ashley – We’re sorry that we did not feel that it was in your best interest, as far as safety was concerned, to go on a community tour with us this past weekend during the snowstorm we received. We had previously toured a prospect and her baby and they almost slipped due to the winter conditions. Based on the duration of the storm, we had scheduled our snow blowers at 11AM that morning and our shovelers at noon. You arrived at 11:15AM before much of our community could be taken care of from the ongoing snowfall.With that being said, you are absolutely right in the fact that we should have called you prior to your visit with us. The leasing staff were unavailable assisting with our newest residents of the community during their move-in process and were unable to do so before you arrived. That being said, we have discussed this at length with the staff that were working that day to discuss how they could have handled the appointment better. We spoke with the gentleman you were with, when you did arrive, while you were in the bathroom and he seemed fine with the unfortunate news at the time.We cannot promise availability for any of our apartments as someone may apply for an apartment at any time, which means that urgency is key when looking to make a decision on one of our apartment homes. While you may have written us off due to our regard for your safety last weekend, we wish you would give us another chance to show you around our community and discuss what apartments we may have available.
Don’t expect your deposit back. The carpet was not in bad shape and had simple wear and tear. We even shampooed the carpet, but they kept the entire deposit. We were respectable tenants and very reasonable in nature. Do not recommend. They didn’t even give us a chance to do the walkthrough with them. This place is a scam.
If there was an option to rate this place less than 1 star I would have done that. So I book an apartment way ahead of time, pay all the application fees, the deposit. The leasing office gives me a "signed lease" and agrees to moving in on 8th of Aug. I get a call today saying the person who currently stays there is not moving out and they cannot give me the apartment and neither can they give me another apartment and nor can force the person to leave (after he has signed the 60 day notice). I have currently notified my apartment that I will be leaving by a fixed date! So because of this scenario I am stuck with no place to live and the leasing center asks me to "find a new apartment". They tell this to me 8 days before the move in date! This is the worst experience I have had with an apartment leasing. Pathetic customer service!
I lived at the Springs for a couple of years. I was there from 2011 to 2013. I enjoyed having my washer and dryer in my apartment. I also really liked that my heat, water and gas were included in my rent. I lived on the 3rd floor so I had beautiful cathedral ceilings. I even saw some wild life (a family of deers) early one morning. I lived toward the back of the community. I would recommend this community to anyone.

Yesterday, Saturday 12/09/2017, my car slid and hit the side walk of the driveway near my apartment. The icy roads were everywhere, also many accidents occurred on these driveways. I was surprised to notice that no body from the management asked to spread salt on these driveways. After many hours the driveways started to get cleaned, maybe because police called the management to avoid more sliding cars and more accidents. Why do I have to pay thousands of dollars to repair my brand-new car just because there was no one to make the roads better during the snow problem: who should be responsible to give orders to clean the driveways immediately and not after many hours and many accidents which happened on Saturday. I am really disappointed.

I lived here for 6 months and never had any issues. Of course I heard my neighbors on occasion; this is to be expected, but everyone was respectful of one another and noise was never an issue. Maintenance was prompt when I had an issue with my fridge, and they provided sufficient warning of any future preventative maintenance. The snow removal this winter was sufficient (parking lots and sidewalks). If residents had moved their cars like requested in the distributed flyer, it would have been flawless, but this is not the fault of The Springs. Every interaction I had with the office staff was pleasant. The managers, Qulia and Lisa, were always extremely helpful and very professional. Mike worked with me through the move-in process and it went very smoothly. My apartment had a great view and vaulted ceilings. The amenities were also great, washer/dryer and dishwasher. The pond view from my third story balcony was a nice perk. I never had an issue parking in front of my building, but sometimes I would have to take an additional 20 steps across the parking lot. I recommend The Springs to friends, family, and respectful renters. If you don't think you should have to pay your rent or respect your neighbors and surroundings, don't bother moving in, you wont like it and your neighbors won't like you.

The staff was polite and friendly. The management company does not like to give back your deposit. They charged 3 different times to "clean carpet" that was never cleaned by them. 3 months after moving out they hit me with a "new carpet" fee and provided some bogus pictures of carpet with stains as their proof. The pictures were not of my apt. I should have taken pictures before leaving. Lesson learned. The place is cheap. Just understand that they will hit you for money when you leave and you will never get that deposit back. Read other reviews on this place.

Thank you for your review. After a resident vacates an apartment, the carpet is cleaned by a third-party. If there are stains and/or damages to the carpet beyond normal wear and tear, replacement is required. This results in additional carpet cleaning fees or damage fees, outside the initial carpet cleaning fee paid at move-in. Carpet replacement is not the preferred outcome, however, there are times when the material becomes unrepairable and must be replaced. Residents are provided the opportunity to be present at the final walk-through of the apartment. I love my home at The Springs, it is a quiet, friendly apartment complex. The management is on top of maintenance and property upkeep. It is pet-friendly and convenient to all stores and necessities. The area is surrounded by ponds and trees, and wildlife. I will be so sad to leave this complex, as I had suffered almost a year of medical leave due to a car accident. I am hopeful to win free rent for life as it would be a blessing.
My complex is excellent, they are on top of all maintenance, the lawns, and sidewalks, in all weather. A nice quiet location with a pond view at every apartment. Heat and water included in the rent. Hard to beat in today's economy. Also, the neighbors are friendly. It will be hard to leave.
The Springs is a wonderful place to live. The amenities are incredible, each unit has pond view. Some units have washer and dryer inside your unit. Why settle for anything else, I know I hate going to the laundry mat or dragging my laundry to the washroom.You also have a major gym franchise within walking distance as well as a major grocery chain.The apartments are super affordable, I can't stress that enough.
We've only lived in our apartment for a few weeks, but so far things are really good. The Springs complex is very nice and feels like home already. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our few maintenance issues have already been addressed in a timely manner. We are very happy so far!
I have been living here for almost 2 years and for the most part I am glad I chose The Springs. This apartment is not the cheapest, but not the most expensive, either. Rent includes heat, gas, and water which is really nice. The walls are not soundproof so it's easy to hear noises like neighbors yelling or maintenance working, but the amount and frequency of disturbances is minimal. Regarding management, I'd say they are on top of things 95% of the time. I had one instance where they dropped the ball on communication, but the issue was eventually resolved. With that exception, every time I had a problem with something not working (e.g. the garbage disposal, air conditioner, etc.), it was fixed in a timely manner. Staff in the office has always been friendly, professional, and honest. All in all I'd say this is a very nice place to live. Rent is reasonable, location is quiet, and management is adequate. If you're looking for apartments in the area, I would recommend this place.

THIS WOULD BE THE PERFECT COMMUNITY IF MANAGEMENT WOULD FOLLOW THROUGHT WITH REPAIRS AND CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES WHEN THEY DO FINALLY SHOW UP. ALSO THE RENT INCREASE WAS REDICULOUS. I WAS TOLD BY THE MANAGER OF THE COMPLEX THAT I DID NOT NEED A BATH MAT AFTER THEY HAD A CONTRACTOR COME IN AND REFINISH MY TUB AND IT WAS NOT DONE PROPERLY AND IT BUBBLED SHE BLAMED ME BUT REFUSED TO TOUCH THE SURFACE WHERE HE HAD PAINTED OVER THE GRIT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE APT TO ANYONE.
The Springs are the grounds of grounds when it comes to the look of the property equipped with Ponds including Geese, Ducks, and Swans. The entrance has a water fountain display to let know new comers and vistors that they are on a luxurious complex, and with the new paint and roof the facilty looks new and makes its tenants feel special you will ne the envy of your City Folk who already know the Novi in itself is a great place to live, But the Springs are above the rest in affordabilty and confinence to shopping, Maintance is also great usually responding to request with in 24 to 48 hours and the leasing department is also great giving everyone an opportunity to live at a great place
This is a very nice apartments close almost to everything,to the mall,freeway,lake,parks more shopping aereas,hospitals,most important our job,specially for the winter time.
My apartment it clean, nice size.. Plus storage space. It's quit & great for people who are just moving out on their own.
You only have to pay electric. Washer n dryer included. maintainence comes when you call them. love it it's like home.
This is a very calm and quiet apartment with its patio/balcony facing to a lake side view. It is well maintained, neat and spacious. Both of the bedrooms have very big walk in closets. No need to wait for a washer/dryer after move in. Its already there in the apartment. The staffs are nice and friendly, they even know you by name.
I first moved into the springs in January I was excited. The location was perfect nearby many activities such as twelve oaks mall, the fountain walk which has many bars restaurants, activities and amazing nightlife. The apartments are spacious and they have many floor plans to fit each person needs far as family size but for me I just need a one bed one bath. The day we moved in I did feel as though they were t prepared the apartment was dirty hadn't been cleaned at all. Also they didn't have our keys ready the day of move in. However seven months later the apartment is great no issues besides loud neighbors above us. Overall the apartment is nice and the location even better.
The Springs Apartments are conveniently located in Novi and exteriors recently updated and nicely landscaped with beautiful pond views. They have many floor plans and very affordable with heat included. Relax in the sparkling pool during the humid summers in Michigan. The office staff is very helpful and keep on top of any maintenance issues a resident might have. Plenty of parking available in front of buildings. The Springs is a great place to call home...
The Springs Apartments is located in a beautiful setting in Novi, Michigan. They are pet friendly and have handicapped accessible units upon request. Their rent rates are comparable to others and affordable. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. Less than 10 minutes from Twelve Oaks Mall. Not far from Walled Lake.
I picked this apartment because it seemed like a good deal. It is far from what you see in the pictures. They are poorly managed. Everything is plastic. The walls are paper thin. Maintenance is always in your apartment doing "preventative" stuff. Lots of headaches and hassles. Pay a few more bucks and get a much better place to live.
