Nice place to live, it's nice being close to campus but just off of it so it's a lot quieter. Getting to school is no problem either by riding the bus or driving yourself.

It’s nice for the price. Nice location and service requests are done in a timely matter. Allowing pets is great. Selected roommates are good. Utilizes aren’t that expensive. Probably could use more space for the kitchen if you’re living with 3-5 people. Living room is a good size. I was told i was getting the upstairs bedroom and then i got there at love in day and a roommate had it?

I love the extra amenities. Personally, the free coffee in the mornings has made going to class so much easier. The apartments are clean and well-made, and it's usually quiet! The only thing that I don't appreciate is the laundry facilities. It is double the cost as in the dorms, and it never feels like my clothes are clean.

Slow on maintenance request and slow WiFi. Living community is fine but I just wished they were more up to date. My hall sometimes stinks and they have so many spider webs around the doors

Unprofessional handling of many different things. Frustrating to deal with when you need assistance or compensation. Often goes back on their word, and chooses the cheapest possible route rather than tenant satisfaction.

I've had a good time other than the noise really good immenities with a good gym and tanning beds. I haven't tried the pools yet so I will need to get in those before the summer is over!!

So far is been best place i’ve lived at. Very welcoming environment from everyone. In a very good location for getting to highway quick. I like the different activities that are on the apartment campus, such as volleyball and the pool plus the basketball courts, etc.

Love it this is my permanent home for life I love that I have 2 pools and workout gym a club house that is open 24/7 and grilling stations all over the property and the staff is very supportive and maintenance does a great job and service I love it that we got permission to do whatever we want to the apartment and balcony my Emotional Support Cat loves it to and much happier and I love that we can watch the storms rolling in and all the excitement of the streets and ramp and everything I love the fact we have a fireplace in our apartment

My experience living at Steinbeck was positive because it came furnished and has a good price. The gym went uncleaned for a few months and the tanning was closed for most of my time here, but otherwise useful amenities. I’m a fan of the price and location.

I still love living Here. Quiet neighbors. I get notices quickly. Maintence problems get fixed quickly. Emails come frequely about everything.

Overall, it’s a good and quiet place to live. The environment is peaceful, and I’ve generally had a positive experience. However, the cleanliness could be improved at times, and the tanning beds have been out of service since March.

I have loved my time living at The Social! The maintenance staff are always helpful and kind, along with the leasing staff. My apartment was completely clean and spotless on my move-in day, which made my move-in a lot less stressful! Highly recommend checking out this community!

My mom said I’d get a renovated apartment since that is what they told her. It wasn’t really renovate as it’s shown online, I’m guessing that’s why they wouldn’t allow us to look at the actual property before hand because we wanted to get measurements for my furniture. No issues with maintenance coming when I send a request. But poor insulation when it’s cold out. Other than that this is a fine complex.

Facilities are decent. People are quiet. For a place that calls itself the social, there isn’t a lot going on here. I like the gym. But it needs some cleaning and upkeep.

Don’t like that I had to come in to a place and clean and have to put in like 10 work orders, with the amount of rent u pay I expected to move in without doing extra work as I got or before

Excellent time living here for three years. As I am about to graduate, I can't think of another complex that offers the amount of amenities while being as cost efficient.

Overall, it’s a fine place to live. Close to school and work with bus stops near if you don’t want to walk. Office workers are somewhat helpful, but it really depends. Maintenance workers are great but if you submit a request they take a while to get to you but I think that’s more the managers fault. Rent is reasonably priced compared to other places in Ames, so you are really paying for what you get if you get a not so great apartment. Some apartments can get drafty and cold because the windows are poorly insulated but if you put plastic film on the inside during the winter it’s fine. Also have had issues with the water lines for the washer freezing in cold weather in some units and maintenance’s solution was a small space heater pointed towards the lines.
