We have had a positive experience so far. There are a few issues with dining hall and getting items restocked but overall very happy with the quality of food. Wish there were a few more opportunities for events early on so there was an opportunity to meet with other student renters
So far the experience has been great. The apartment side is quiet. Nothing really goes on over here and i wish more happened. The Social is very dorm centered and I wish it involved the apartments too.
It’s very clean, the food is very good, and we have our own coffee shop here so it is very convenient. The staff here is very nice too. I like it here.
It is pretty good I don’t like how someone who is 21 and a third year at college can’t get a kitchen key and has to take 15 minute just to get it open but other than that great

So far so good. Room has been broken since I arrived and no one has repaired the problems yet. The food it mostly good but I have gotten sick twice from the meals I have eaten at the social.

Its been good, the only thing my room is super hot because there is no individual ac in the cottages. My roomates are cool and the ammentities are great.

The place is nice and it’s great for a first time dorm and everything else. One thing that I think should be done, is telling the residents everything they need to know when they get their keys. I was unaware of dinning times, and a few other things. Other than that this place is great!

The social has so many amenities, moving here was so worth it. I love going to the gym at anytime so I can get a secure work out. The pool is in the sun so it’s been so it’s so comfortable to swim in

I moved in on the 9th and so far gotta say I’m loving the stay the fridge is pretty spacious there’s a lot of outlets which I desperately needed and they’re spaced around the room really nicely and the closet is huge which is nice and I’m close to a door which is great cuz I’m on the 3rd floor my only qualm which isn’t a huge one cuz it’s expected wherever I dorm is there’s a bit of damage to some things around the unit but it’s not too bad

The social is a very nice place to live. I like that they have a cafe where drink prices are better than actual Starbucks. As far as the office workers, they are rude sometimes.

It is okay, the rooms and bathroom are a little dirty but it’s fine. The ventilation in the bathroom is very dirty and doesn’t work that well, same for the smoke detector and AC.

Staff is very nice and helpful! Cafe and Cafeteria are convenient and always have good stuff but could try to add more variety. Pool and gym are nice but pool could use more sitting and lounge chairs as it has been very busy as the weather is getting hotter. My room is good with only a few minor corrections I would like to make. Overall, the Social is a good option for students attending Butte or Chico and gives the feeling of a dorm but cheaper with more privacy.

It’s new to me. I never lived on my own but so far it’s cool. Had a small problem when I first moved within the first month. But it was resolved very quickly.

Lived in the dorms for about 3 years then I moved into the social chico apartments and have lived here for about 2 years now. Love that the leases are separate, that is the best feature that many other apartments and dorms in chico do not offer.

The Social is an unfortunate place to live. The tour is deceptive, showing rooms that are bigger and cleaner than anything you'll actually stay in, and you're required to pay their ludicrously priced meal plan as part of the first year lease. There's no ventilation in the bathrooms so black mold grows easily, rats and roaches regularly get into rooms, something is always broken in unit or on site, and many areas of the apartments regularly go weeks without being cleaned. It isn't all bad, as the Dining Hall can be quite nice and it has a convenient location. But all of this combined with the ridiculous upcharges they do every year... you're better off somewhere else.

Everything is fine, but we had to document some damaged items in the dorm in case we need to replace them later. Unfortunately, some of the staff have not been very helpful.

The water here is either really hot or really cold, no in between. It’s also super loud at late hours in the night and impossible to get to bed early.

For these past 3 years it's been great .If the only complaint that comes to mind is during the summer where it's hot .The ac supplied for the apartment doesn't reach the rooms.Besides that it's being a very positive experience overall

Review Living at The Social has been wonderful so far. Food has been great, roommates are great. The only thing I would critique is getting water is not the easiest thing. I wish there was a water fountain to fill up bottles or if the sinks were a bit more powerful. I also would like it if the dining room was open all day so people could grab drinks or stuff from the cereal/ cookie bar. Outside of those things, it has been a blast.

Almost all Good Everyone was polite, positive . The process was simple and smooth enough. The issue is Wi-Fi my daughter a freshman this year has been there since August 15th. She still has to access her link which is crucial still hasn’t been delivered.

Love living here. Walking distance from everything. The bus that takes you to and from campus is what I like most about living at the social. I've been living here since I was a freshman. I moved from the doorms to the cottages my senior year.

This was by far the worst place I’ve ever lived. There were so many issues when I first moved. So much misinformation was being told to me. It’s a fair price, but personally I did not think it was worth it. We were also blamed for animal scratches on the furnished furniture when none of us owned an animal. Thankfully we took a picture of the furniture when we moved in and I suggest everyone who moves in does this too incase they try to scam you.

I absolutely love staying at the Social Chico apartment! The location is perfect, with plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance to downtown . The apartment itself is spacious, modern, and always clean. The amenities, like the gym and pool, are a great bonus. The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

I been living here for over a year and half the place is great but the work order for maintenance does take a while to fix. The apartment are very spacious and the amenities are good but would recommend a filter to the water.

I enjoy having my own space and the food is amazing, at least in my opinion. The gym they have comes in handy when the school gym is closed. Made a few friends here.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Very convenient to have the food court, gym, and pool. Food court didn't always have the healthiest and most enticing options though. Got my locked up bike stolen from there too, even though they claim to have a night security patrol. Saw many cars broken into too, one of my neighbor's cars was stolen from there.
