Starkville is what you’d call a college town for sure. Home to a large student population focused on academics and sports, this city also houses numerous apartments near cool amenities. As you probably guessed, the gem of Starkville is Mississippi State University which is surrounded by bars, mom-and-pop eateries, boutiques, and bookstores.
When you live in Starkville, you’ll notice when the entire community gears up for game day. “Hail State” is a common greeting that echoes throughout the town, and it’s safe to say that a great deal of the community revolves around college sports like football. Locals, alumni, and visitors alike are often tailgating before a big game. On game day eves, New South Weekends in Starkville offer tons of activities from wine tastings to block parties.
MSU and surrounding neighborhoods have a lot of art and culture offerings. The Lyceum Series, presented by the university, features concerts, dance recitals, and musicals throughout the year.

It’s great nice environment great basketball court & nice gym facilities haven’t checked out the pool but soon I will it’s closer to restaurants in case i don’t wanna cook

Warm welcome! :) Love the place. I like the peace and quiet. I didn't see a lot of people and I am happy since I am introvert. I would rather just go to my place and not be disturbed by anyone. The office is very helpful when I ask questions and need things to get done.

It's fine. Could be worse but not great either. Washer was broken on move in and it took over a month to replace it. Then several months ago the new one broke and is full of water and nothing has been done since despite multiple requests. As long as you don't need maintenance your stay here could be fine, but it's not unlikely that someone might need maintenance. Also the walls and doors are so thin, I could always hear people outside in the parking lot and I could hear my roommate on his phone even with both of our doors closed.

Living in the social block was a good experience. I got to know many people and felt comfortable in the environment. Everyone was respectful, and we supported each other when needed. It was a quiet and friendly place to stay, which helped me focus on my studies. I appreciated the sense of community and felt safe during my time there.

The experience here has been great overall! I really enjoy the pool and the beautiful surroundings. Just one small suggestion if possible, it would be helpful to fix the lights on the outside stairs of Building 9. It gets really dark at night and we can’t see anything.

very nice apartment/townhouse facilities. the washer was messed up, but they came and fixed it immediately! the managers are super nice and are so helpful when moving in or helping with any problems

overall office was great but I am not satisfied with the condition of the house. It was too dirty to live and was untidy. The house was full of dust and old and rusty.

The office and maintenance staff are kind and work to resolve issues within a reasonable time frame. I enjoy the activities put on by the staff, including waffle wednesday and pool days! The noise level of the neighborhood varies, with a lot of activity some days compared to other calmer days.

Wish work orders be fixed in a better time management and updated appliances. But overall staff have a professional attitude and work with their residents.

It has been good I like that my maintenance requests get filled decently quickly and I love having my own place as well. The people are also very nice and extremely helpful whenever I have any questions.
Overall my experience here was good. A few flaws would be that pest control through the apartment never came and they just gave you traps to set up, but you can look past that with all the other things being accomplished by them.
The Social Block has been a decent living space. I love that the rent isn’t super expensive, the pool is nice, dumpsters aren’t far away, maintenance works fast, and the bedrooms are spacious.

I will never recommend this apartment. I will recommend living literally anywhere else. The management is incredibly disorganized and maintenance is basically nonexistent. Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request, they have taken months to fix the issue, and when they do get around to “fix” something, they’re really just putting a temporary bandaid on the issue for it to just break again later. The cockroaches and ants are disgusting and the apartment in general is NOT clean. 0/10. Do not recommend.

Great apartments! Friendly front office! I recommend living here if you are bringing a family, or if you’d want a family like setting with friends.
its an alright place , some problems with stuff in apartment but nothing i cant fix without waiting days for them to finally do something . alright staff i guess everytime i call for my package they never answer but one time i went like 10-15 min before closing and stopped at the door n called before entering to see if theyd answer cause they hadnt picked up the phone …. funny thing is when i callled i see the worker sitting at the desk ON HIS PHONE ..i call he PICKS UP THE PHONE N PUTS IT BACK DOWN ignoring me…. i go in and hes literally doing nothing but on his phone

The social is a great place to live. It is very safe and clean place. Maintenance is completed promptly. Staff are friendly and supportive.

The place was horrible when I first got here from the roach infestation to the random water outages. Since they fixed those issues if you can tolerate the people you should enjoy it.

I enjoy the time that Ive lived here. Management and the maintenance team aren’t fun to work with some time. The complex is relatively safe and everyone minds their own business for the most part.

Haven't really got to interact with anyone yet and my roommate isn't here till later on this month but besides that it's pretty quiet neighborhood or community so far as I can tell but it's been pretty rainy lately so maybe things will change as a spring comes
It’s not a bad place to live. The communication and with maintenance could be worked on but other than that it’s nice. They allow pets and always answer the phone.

It’s very affordable but I wish there was a way to meet more people like clubs or more events it would make the experience of living here more enjoyable
The first time I moved to the social blocks (last month) and to Starkville in general, I cried amd still do now, tears streaming down my face. As a foreign student, I am overwhelmed with anxiety. Friendless, yet trying my best, but no good results so far. To those who are struggling, I hope life treats you kindly. Sending all my love.

The people in the office has made this one of the easiest moves ever! The apartments are very up to date and nice! The Social Block also has a really nice gym and pool!
Great time here. I have been enjoying my stay here. However the situation with the roaches can be handled a lot better. As a college student I definitely recommend this spot though.
