The River Pointe Apartments

Current Resident review Water is turned off WEEKLY hours at a time Roach problem , the LARGE flying roaches My unit did not come with a microwave as advertised They constantly change the parking rules so you & you visitors will be towed ($225) High crime area Walls are so thin you hear EVERYTHING including cars, and all outside noises. Office staff does BARE minimum If You don’t have WiFi or it goes off you will not have cell service. The maintenance team is good thankfully but if things were done correctly the first time maintenance would be needed so often . The paint over everything for the new units instead of replacing. Yes the rent is cheap for Tampa but it would be worth it to pay a little extra & not move into River Pointe Apartments.

The water is shut off constantly. They email u the water will be off for 2 hours, they claim they cant find main shut off valve. Apartments are old, nothing is never fixed just painted over and they want market rent for crappy apartments. Good luck getting in touch with the leasing office they never answer but be sitting right there. If you walk in office they claim they busy yet no one is in there. Also they change different management at least once a year. No professionalism. If you call corporate TLR Management you won’t het a hold of anyone and no one speaks English. They advertise there pool which hasn’t been open in 3 years.

This is the worst place in America to live never water, always off . Apartment was broken into door kicked off the hinged. Car broke into . Payed them for renters insurance and then was told it wasn't for me the insurance was for them . Lived there 3 years pool never open . Never received an oven rack. It was awful. I had section8 that's the only reason. But now I'm a home owner. Thank you Lord. !!!!!

Do not rent here. This complex usually turns the water off three or four times a week randomly, but not having water at 8pm when all of their staff has left for the day is a new low for this complex, and that’s saying a lot. Management constantly changes and every management team that comes on is awful. The latest team came on a few months ago and this is what I’ve endured since they’ve taken over: 1.) No running water at 8pm, 2.) Them changing the doorknobs and saying our keys would still work, then coming home and being locked out of my apartment for over an hour because our keys did NOT still work and they also couldn’t get into the door, 3.) Maintenance requests being left open for four months, 4.) Them scheduling a floor installation on their own accord for a specific date, now here we are almost two months later and it still hasn’t been done (shocker, right?), 5.) Them giving no notice of painting my buildings doors while my husband and I were out of town, then returning to our doormats matted up with paint and absolutely ruined, 7.) Returning home to our lights being left on by maintenance while we were out of town (also happened on two other occasions, but luckily we returned home the same day those transpired), 8.) Emergency maintenance not answering or getting back to us after we’ve called five times due to an EMERGENCY, 9.) The laundry facilities are only open 9:00-4:30 Monday through Friday due to vandalism, I leave my house before 8am and return after 5pm so I can’t do laundry here now, the kicker is that the laundry room doors have code pads on them yet they’re left wide open, management hasn’t even tried to use these in prevention of this supposed vandalism, so instead of attempting to utilize those they would rather make it impossible for their working tenants to do laundry, The laundry facilities have cards specific for this complex so of course that’s money that is now going to waste because we can’t use it anywhere but here. 10.) They left us without a stove/oven for a week. Truthfully I can go on all night, but these 10 bullet points are just what we’ve experienced in the last four months alone. Living in a box would be a better choice than choosing to move here.

This place is terrible. The apartments all have major issues which never get taken care of. The water gets cut off randomly for hours. The lights outside of the doors are too dim and it’s incredibly difficult to open your door at night. There are ants everywhere and have been there since before I moved in on April. The new staff is even nastier than the old one and is always talking down to their tenants. Now they want to add new laws that end up costing the residents money even if they never agreed to the changes as they were not part of the original lease! Save yourself a lot of frustration and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The garbage dumpsters are always overwhelmingly over flowing with trash everywhere. The pool doesn’t have any lounge chairs or umbrellas. Mind you, we are all paying to have a pool. We are all paying to live in an apartment with working kitchen appliances and bathrooms that work properly and don’t have wholes in the walls. This place is a joke and to top it off they treat you like you’re some sort of animal who they clearly have zero respect for. I’m a mathematics professor and am appalled at their behavior and lack of responsibility.

I recently moved to this property and everything has been great so far. The neighbors and employees at the property are friendly. The neighborhood is quite and close to major roads. Makes it easy to get around. Lots of upgrades in my apartment. I am very happy here clean living space with good energy.

Great place to stay. The neighborhood is very safe, people are friendly. I love my apartment very spacious and gets great lighting. I would definite suggest river point to my friends and family.

I lived there 1 year, Property Management and staff changed 4 TIMES and always all replaced at once. Monitor your acct on the portal, bogus fees frequently added without you being notified. Lease terms for property compliance does not apply and property is not held to lease terms, especially with regard to returning your deposit. Extreme and highly unprofessional. Legal action is only option if you want to risk it. Tenants have no rights as lease is written. DON'T DO IT! Worst rental experience of my life!

I moved to florida from the west coast almost a year ago. River point , the neighborhood and people around me has become my second family. Everyone is really nice the staff is very helpful and are always willing to help and fix problems in a timely manner. Theres so much to do close by area is quite and clean. I feel safe and Im looking forward to renewing my lease lol

This by far is the worst place I ever lived, rats roaches building falling apart , leaks, foundation crumbling, drug dealers, fights crime. Robberies, you cant use the clubhouse, pool or gym and the laundry machine is always broke. Most of the reviews on here are fake and provided by office workers and not people who actually lived here.

Have lived in the area for a while and they've gone through many management changes. The gate has never worked as long as I've been there, delinquents and random individuals enter as they please, there's also a lot of trash being thrown around the grounds as well as loud stereos at all times of the night past curfew. The security company no longer conducts rounds there and anything goes. They have renovated the exterior to appeal to tenants but on the inside, we have problems with insects, roaches, roof leaks, poorly functioning AC, the water is often cut off at random for "repairs". Work orders also take a long time to be addressed, sometimes the work is done but not completely and the problems still persist. For the price of rent, they charge I am confident you can find something much better.

I just moved into my apartment my experience so far has been really good. The apartment building is clean people are friendly and its easy to get to work.

I was Quoted the wrong price for the wrong apartment. I filled out the app and paid the fee, I also placed the hold on the apartment that was shown to me. I got a call this morning about the mistake. I had my hopes up, and I am highly disappointed in the false information that was provided to me on Saturday. I got refunded the holding fee and app fee, I left work to get my money back because I didn't trust them to pick it up on my day off after the false information they provided me. I wanted to speak my mind and say, you're messing with peoples lives with the false information you provide, I am very upset and am trying to find a home. It's been really difficult process. There was a language barrier and I couldn't understand the leasing people very well and this whole situation makes it much worse. I had my hopes up that I would have a place to live by the 1st and now I'm still stuck with no home. I'm thankful I have a good job, but you should hire people who can understand and speak English clearly as well as Spanish. I would never recommend this place to anyone because of how unprofessional my experience was. You can say sorry all you want but it doesn't change the fact that I was mislead, I placed the hold, and I know my background check would have past with flying colors. It was being mislead that is the worst part of all of this.

I have been living here going on 4 years now and boy oh boy I've seen so many changes (improvement). My apartment is updated the complex is clean and cozy the staff is friendly easy to talk to and responds quickly to any issue I may have. In addition there's a bunch of good restaurants and shopping plaza's nearby.

I am currently living here and can absolutely say this is the worst apartment complex I have lived in. I am looking for a house as we speak. LINDA, the property manager is weak and very unprofessional. I have mold all in my closet and they paint over it. When the people upstairs wash clothes, my closet and toilet floods with everything you can think of and they keep sending a plumber out for no reason. You call for pest control and I still haven't seen anyone yet besides the same bugs I am calling about. I got code enforcement involved and now all of a sudden I am missing $497 that comes with my rent. I was told it was backdated but I only received a call 2/21/18 saying rent was late and I been there since August of 2017. Another lady was on the phone with her bank who stated they sent the money and this complex still stated they did not have it. SHAKING MY HEAD!! When I came in, they stated it was only late for Feb so I gave them the receipts for Feb. They called 2/28 and stated they need 3 months. Provided them with that and lets be mindful I only got the call that I was late 2/21/18 so I was wondering why all of a sudden now. I was going to pay rent today 3/2/18 but they still saying I have a balance. They hire new people every 3-4 weeks so I am not surprised if they fired someone and lost it and want me to pay. Not happening. I am looking forward to taking them to court since apparently this is not being resolved professional.

The property has gone through a lot of changes. All the work and new paving looks great. My upgraded unit is very nice. I really like all the nice lights inside the apartment and the kitchen is very nice. The new pool area is very nice also.

Worst apartments ever!! They take too long to fix things so simple such as the a/c or leak in a bathroom. The management is very rude and uncooperative very cold and just wants your money. The back gate always just breaks and half of the time it's not even secured. Grass is only in the front of the apartments.So from my building on down I had to walk in sand which the sidewalk was covered in so annoying. I would not recommend anyone moving here don't waste your time nor money.

Horrible place to live! Roaches are everywhere, even if you clean up regularly. Management is rude, and I tried contacting the management over them, but they only take your money, and refuse to return a simple call. It's a shame that when you have a lot of problems as a tenant, there's no one over the campus management that will take a few seconds to hear you out,& try to help. It was terrible! Such a bad experience! Ac& heat constantly go out. Apartments leak, so sometimes your water get turned off. It take them a long time to fix things, and the worse part is dealing with the property manager, because he's always unpleasant and unprofessional . The places aren't finish being painted, only some of the front apartments are painted. Termites were taking over at one point. I could go own& own, but I'll just say it's a Bad place to live. Definitely not worth the price they were charging me. On top of that they didn't prorate rent when they had my water off around the holiday, or when I was without heat& air for weeks& weeks. Don't care about tenants, I understand that it's a business, however, property managers should know how to treat & talk to people. Tenants may have issues, and their job is to handle them professionally. Too many problems here!!!

I have been here for 3 years, I do like it here, its convenient to a lot of places I do travel to , such as dining and shopping. we have new management that are painting, clearing dead brush, will be fixing the gate to enter, and have installed top notch security cameras, and there are also riverfront apartments in the back of the community, if you love a waterfront view!! Its very family oriented, and they have a dog park for all the pets, clean pool, and laundry rooms, nighttime security!! Its home within home!!
