Property Ratings at The Rise Lake front Rentals
Lived here 2years in the first year very pleasurable experience...During my second year severe mold problems...Furniture's and clothing damaged...Management non responsive to complaints ....ventilation problems as well as pest control issues...Not worth the rent which is raised every year...Peeling paint garbage all over parking lot...Rats in dumpster and dedicating on stairwells.
They don’t answer the phone or even have a voicemail. The whole place smells like mold and don’t go to the trash bin at night as it’s filled with giant rats. It’s an old building and instead of fixing it, they do cover up work. It may even be a health hazard, that’s how old and mildewy it smells.
My fiance and I moved out of this apartment due to many issues... When we first moved in back in 2015, the rent was cheap and the staff was friendly. Things quickly declined over the time we were there... Rent prices kept going up, staff was unresponsive, and any "fixes" in the apartment were very temporary (they patched a hole in our ceiling from a leak that literally started peeling and opening up within a week). When it came time to move out, despite the fact that we gave notice (WARNING: they do not warn you when it is time to give notice and will try to say you did not give proper notice...), we received an eviction notice. I really hope things have improved since we lived there because our experience was certainly unpleasant. You couldn't pay me to live there again.
I love this property. Not only are the staff and maintenance people very helpful, you can tell they really care about their residents. The new owners are constantly improving the building. I would 100% recommend living here in a heart beat.
Stay away from these apartments. The girl that works in the association office lied to me and took my $100 application fee knowing i would not qualify to move in but made it seem like I would.
I had a bad experience I feel that these people starting with the girl who I attended I think her name is EMILY, they want to just take your money, she informed me that I would pay a month deposit of guarantee and the month I moved and had to apply , are $100 per person and do not warn you that if you have a credit below 750 points you have to pay in addition an additional month, she told me that a company does the study of credit and I DARIAN answer in two days, and better apply more people to combine L OS credits, I put apply my daughter also and nevertheless did not take into account that all work and we are residents and also the apartment is not available for the date that I needed and she offered me, I took my money $300 and I did not want to return , so it is very easy to steal money from people, many applications but approve with conditions that many people can not. And so they stay with your money; If I had explained the best things I do not apply, better ask well to not get out with surprises, and certainly that such a credit study did not in two days, was only in 1 hour I guess; They see nothing but the score, do not review if your paid well in another condominium, nothing is just to keep your money, so I write to be pending that many times the saying that says "cheap comes expensive", now I lost $300 and I have to look in another Condo that maybe the rent is more expensive, but give you better conditions to move.
Owners now in charge, are rude, liar, irresponsible and will take your deposit without reasonable explanations. They blame everything to ex-employees. Do not maintain proper facilities.
This building is falling apart for lack of maintenance. The new owners only want to collect the rent and not to invest seriously, just make-up. They only have two employees for maintenance and of course they are not enough for that job they have to perform miracles. Owners got rid of the landscaping company to make these two employees take care of that. Of course, now the gardens look like jungle. The common areas, especially the stairs are always dirty and disgusting. More than a year ago they eliminated all the wastebaskets from the corridors and now everybody throw the trash on the floor As if this were not enough, the owner and administrator has no manners and tries bad and unresolved and lies to the tenants.
New management and owners are the worst. They don't do repairs, because they're busy remodeling the building to charge higher rents and if you complaint about repairs, your lease doesn't get renewed. Manager is extremely nasty and unprofessional. Go elsewhere. Owners don't care how manager treats tenants, once she brings in the money.
Property Manager at The Rise Lake front Rentals, Responded To This Review
As much as we would like to unfortunately we can not please every single resident. These particular residents have not been happy throughout the year regardless of what we do. Change is overwhelming and as the cost of living goes up it effects all of us including new owners trying to make a difference. The owners and manager are very caring individuals that would like to see everyone living harmoniously. The decision to non renew is not an easy one as we would love to renew everyone as it is less expensive for us to renew than to turn over an apartment and spend thousands of dollars in marketing, supplies and vendors, however we found it best to move forward instead in a positive manner. We wish these individuals the best and hope that they find exactly what they are looking for. On a good note yes we are fixing the exterior of the building and added a gym so many of our residents are very happy with the new changes and we now will have an upcoming 5th floor two bedroom located on the corner of the building with a beautiful view. Welleby park is adjacent to our property great for a nice stroll on those beautiful Florida days an evenings.
The apartment I were to move into fell through, I decided not to take it, they just showed me the model/office. I was supposed to sign the lease on Friday but instead I went today and the place looked like a bomb hit it. The appliances, bathroom, kitchen sinks, lighting fixtures were all rusted and corroded. They only allowed us to see the office apartment which we figured was in that condition being that it was used for storage of materials. Upon seeing the apartment in which I would occupy today I was in shock as to all the appliances being rusted and corroded with grease and filth. The tiles on the floors do not match and all the mirrors & light fixtures were tarnished and peeling. The sinks had rust and the vanities were marred with stains. The managers are liars!!!
They evicted everyone that was in the old lease. I have kids and they didn't give me time to pay my water bill so they evicted me. These are new owners. We are homeless now and living in a hotel. I home someone can help. I'm looking for an apartment for me and my girls asap. Thank you!
