THE RETREAT AT VISTA LAKE

Also, I’m paying $100 a month for water. I was told it was divided by the number of apartments in the building. I’m paying for somebody else’s water. I paid more for my water than I do electric. Somethings wrong there.

The Retreat at Vista Lake, is a quaint place to live my own gym, and swimming pool,they respond quickly to make repairs, Lots of parking and it’s close to nearby walking trail if you are an outside person.

Been here many years outside conditions getting worse no improvements to buildings and garbage dump front .

I've had a great experience at The Retreat at Vista Lake. The community is peaceful, the maintenance team is responsive and professional, and the amenities are well-kept. It's a comfortable and convenient place to live I’d definitely recommend it to others.

So far the experience as not been good in regards to the condition of the apartment.

I am FOREVER GRATEFUL that I was blessed with a TRANSFER to my 1 bdrm on May 1st, 2024, and yet again with the unforseen building #13 fire, 4 months later. And with NO rent / lakeview increase! Love it SO MUCH, THANK YOU!

I think there is a lack of attention to gate security and cleaning

I enjoy the working peoples community, please be considerate with the honking of the horns while driving.

Lived here for 2 years. Nothing changes and everything it still under remodeling. This is ran by idiots.

Great maintenance guys. They are on top of the maintenance request. They come out in a timely manner.

Been here a couple of years now. I haven't had any problems except my upstairs neighbors leaking water through my ceiling a couple of times. Not the community's fault. All in all I'm pretty happy here

Absolutely horrible. Rude staff, dirty grounds, trash everywhere, no working amenities, apartments are falling apart. High crime.

The Staff at the Vista is very hardworking and responds back to issues.

My family and I didn't have a place to live for at least 2 months and when we got approved and we saw the apartment we loved it and after 2 months we finally have a place to live and we really recommend to anyone

Please don't make the same mistake I did! Check out this place in person...you will not regret it.

Update: 1 year later After delaying our move in day a week, we Walked in to the apartment to find roaches all over the place. Roaches on the floor, roaches in the doorways, roaches on the washing machines. The back door did not lock. We walked in, took pictures, and left immediately. They let us out of lease. That was February of 2023. February 2024 they still will not refund the $350 application fee. Avoid at all costs.

Been a resident here for over 6 years. The manager and maintenance team is ready great and gets issues, concerns and request resolve always in a timely manner.

Absolutely do not recommend, especially if you have kids or pets. Overall the place does not care for your safety, your kids safety, or your pets safety.

Been a resident at Vista lake for over 7 years and love it.The staff is very kind and professional.

This is a quiet, family friendly gated community. Management communicates effectively and in a timely manner. They care about their residents here and I love that I can come home and feel safe.

I think the Retreat is a very nice place overall. The management is helpful and professional and the servicemen are helpful and efficient.

Worst apartment I have EVER lived in! I moved here sight unseen from another state...I wish I would have waited. The hallways are disgusting! They smell like garbage and really dirty. You would think management would spend money on pressure washing but NO. Super embarrassing to have guests over because it's their first impression. The kitchens and lanais are tiny! Gym equipment broken and where you pick up mail is always flooded. The staff in the office look like they hate their jobs and their attitude reflects it. I was so happy to move out!!!

The Retreat at Vista lake is very comfortable. Maintenance and office staff are great. If you have a problem with a non emergency maintenance problem it will be fixed within a suitable time frame. I have been here a Month and a half and i am very happy here.

Staff is simply outstanding. Courteous, respectful, professional, communicative, compassionate and efficient. I’ve been renting in SWFL for over 20 years & have never found a place like this. Been here 3 years and looking forward to the next 3!

Overpriced rent for quality of apartment and amenities.

My car got stolen from the parking lot this month. I reached out to the leasing office and they don’t have a single camera on property. I reached out again weeks ago, and multiple times, regarding safety concerns, and have not received a single response. Packages get stolen as well. Of course, you could just get them delivered to the office, but this doesn’t fix the problem of there being no safety or security. There is no maintenance on amenities ever. The gym is always in terrible condition with many machines not working. When my car was stolen they wouldn’t even send out an email to residents with my cars info to see if anyone had information. They shared that in a brief phone call when I managed to get in touch with them, but I have had no luck hearing from them in the WEEKS since the event. It’s really appalling and although the rent is more affordable than other places in the area, it’s not worth being unsafe. If i had gone elsewhere I would’ve actually saved myself money that I had to spend to repair my car after it was recovered a week after being stolen. Don’t live here.

too expensive for a small room. many things have broken in this apartment. people dont clean up after dogs.

I love my apartment. The grounds are kept nice and there are a lot of improvements being made since the hurricane. I like the daily notifications in my E-mail about whats going on in the community. All in all....I have no complaints.

Lets be real...were all on tight budgets these days. Rent has gotten crazy out of control but, I stumbled across The Retreat At Vista Lake and so happy I did. I was greeted by staff in the office who actually seemed to like their jobs and were so friendly and helpful. I was torn between a few different properties and the way I was made to feel so at home help is what made me choose The Retreat as my new home!!

Maintenance of the complex has been extremely poor. My apartment has had multiple leaks, and the common areas are often dirty and unkempt. The management of the complex has been completely unacceptable. My requests for repairs have been ignored, and I have been met with unprofessional and rude behavior from the staff at the office. I am extremely disappointed with the state of the complex and the lack of action taken by management to address these issues. I have been paying my rent on time and have been a respectful tenant, yet I have received nothing in return but poor living conditions, poor management, and extremely high rent for a low value apartment.

I have recommended the community to many people I love the space I love the architecture and I think a lot of people live here because they appreciate the trees even though I'm physically unable to use a lot of the recreational facilities I do appreciate that they are available

RUN!! DONT RISK YOUR HEALTH or MONEY! Don’t let the outside or inside fool you or the “we’re recovering from the hurricane” because this place is a health risk. We were breathing in MOLD for who knows how long. Our air vents filled with it and the roof of our bathroom growing even more. Our daughter had been getting sick ever since we brought her home from the hospital in April. It wasn’t until we did some digging that we found the mold and that was the issue. We talked to the office and asked to get it checked and to place a work order that had ended up being pending for a while. Then for someone to come out and say the it was from the “ ac being to low in the the house” what a joke. Nothing got done. The mold got WORSE. My baby sick! Mycotoxins from mold is no joke to your health. then it took me complaining on fb for the property manager to finally take notice and get something dont but only half. We asked to get out of the lease without any fees for THEIR MOLD INFESTED APARTMENT. And Ofcourse we now have to pay over $3k for moving out and putting our baby girls health first. Kept all documentations of everything and pictures of the mold of our apartment.

i have been in the community since oct 2006.....first on what was the beach club and then moved over here for more room........it is the only place i have lived since i moved to fl....it is quiet, clean and most of the time there is somebody to help if i have a problem....

The Retreat at Vista Lake is a great apartment. If you get an updated one, the look of the inside is more modern. The location is prime with shopping of any sort in less then 3 min. The price is a bit high (moved here from IL), but the location is great.

The Retreat is mostly a family friendly atmosphere. The grounds are very nice for walks. Just watch your step- many residents don't clean up after their pets.

I have lived at The retreats for almost two years and love living there. The office staff, management and maintenance staff are awesome. They are professional, caring and courteous. They are always willing to help me with anything. During and after the hurricane they were so great. Great communication are what was going on, what was going to happen and how they were going to handle what was needed. Even provided need support for everyone. I was also very impressed with the fast clean up and repairs after the hurricane. The community are friendly.

i have been in this community since 2006.....people ask me if i like it here and i say must be i do.....i am still here.....it is clean and quiet and things get fixed pretty fast

The community here at The Retreat at Vista Lake is a beautiful place to live. My apartment is right on the lake and it's gorgeous here. The community is under renovations at this time and will be even better once the renovations are done. It's very quiet here and my apartment is like a little cabin inside. I love it here! The ladies in the office are so friendly and helpful. It's a great place to live!

The Retreat at Vista Lake is a very well maintained and easy place to live in. It is comfortable and the people are kind. It feels like home when you walk in.

I just moved in here but so far everything seems great. The property is nice...my apartment is beautiful...I love the food trucks and how the property creates events for there Tennant's.

I moved here from Alabama. This was the first website I visited. When I drove down to see my apartment, I was more than pleased! I shopped other places but this was my favorite. Great staff!

This apartment complex is horrible and be careful they might scam you. I called to see an apt. And the coordinator gave me an appointment to see the apt. On a Sunday at 3pm. Asking me to bring some money even though I reminded her it was on a Sunday and they might be closed she told me is okay because she had other people coming. I drove all the way from Miami 2 1/2 hours away when i got there no one was there not even a note and there was other people also outside waiting. When I called the headquarters they just told me they were closed and no one knew anything. What a waste of time and money plus the property outside is old not like in the pictures. Be careful!!

I've been a resident here for 14 years and and feel that the new management company is doing a fantastic job. Only hope is that they don't sell again.

We have had very few problems while living here the past two years. Office staff are friendly and helpful. The gates will finally be operational and that is great news.

Great pet-friendly community. Perfect for nature lovers with all its trees and lakes. Management and staff are very friendly and resolve issues right away. Great location close to stores.
