Pitiful management, maintenance is a joke

Rent goes up exponentially with every lease renewal, management has high turnover, cannot keep employees, quality of employees has declined over past two years. You better hope nothing breaks bc they will respond within a month to your request to fix it, but not actually fix it. Light your money on fire instead of wasting it here.

The retreat has definitely changed for the worse.

I am currently a resident in the retreat, my family and I have lived here for a little over 2years it WAS a pleasant experience, up until I started noticing more and more of the community was changing… ppl that’s been there since our move in 2019 are now gone. With that being said January of 2023 my young children and I walked outside at 5:40 am to bring them to school. We noticed that the brand new vehicle I purchased 34 days ago was stripped of all 4 wheels and tires. This community has lack of security, lack of lighting for the parking lots. This event now has me and my family feeling UNSAFE to live at The Retreat at Juban. Stay away from The Retreat at Juban!!!!

Loved our stay

We enjoyed our stay at The Retreat. Friendly staff and the amenities (car wash) were nice to have. We will miss the Juban family, but I’m glad my family was able to create memories.

Miserable Experience!

This is the most poorly run and managed apartment complex I have seen. No calls returned. No consistency in notifications. No communication when critical information needs to be relayed. Please avoid.

The best year of my life!

Living at the Retreat at Juban is one of a kind experience. The apartments and grounds are professionally maintained and the office staff are friendly and helpful. Being able to walk to a resort style pool and gym from your home can’t be beat. The location is also great for running, biking, or shopping just outside the neighborhood. You have access to a grocery store, movie theater, and other shops in just a five minute walk. The neighbors are friendly and the apartments are stunning. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone looking for a short term or longterm home in the area. The private entry for each apartment makes it feel like a townhome.

Problems start at the office

Unfortunately I didn’t get past the office. The attitude of the lady at the front was so awful I didn’t care to go past that. The place looks like a nice apartment complex but the lady at the front desk was so unappealing that I did not care to go any further. Friendliness should start there for sure.

Staff

The apartments are so nice and here’s the SHOCKER...once you move in the staff is just as NICE as the day you leased! I’ve lived so many places where things change once you move in but, over the last year, the lady’s in the office have continued to be just as sweet and welcoming!

Pet fees

They charge through the roof for pets, and require dna test for them. It is just awful, the property is not worth staying at. Go to another apartment complex.

Very nice

I've lived at Springs at Juban Crossing for a little under a year now and overall I'm very satisfied! pros - spacious townhome-style apartments with new appliances. "townhome-style" means you walk up to your front door. It's not the classic apartment where you've got a hall with a neighbor directly across from you - you're either right off your parking space or you've got a nice stretch of grass between you and the apartment across. It's much more spacious than the average apartment and you don't have as many immediate neighbors. For upstairs apartments, stairs are enclosed and behind a door - meaning you don't have to worry about rain, etc making the stairs slippery. The community is clean and quiet overall, with very nice amenities (though understandably they've been unavailable due to coronavirus). Juban Crossing shopping center is just across the street with a movie theater, Rouses, Belk's, and lots of places to eat. Lots of resident events, if you're into that. Traffic on Juban Rd isn't anywhere NEAR as bad as on Range, so that's nice. Cons - the soundproofing could definitely be better. When people are talking on the sidewalk outside your apartment, you'll hear them. We've also had a lot of trouble with the mail (packages going to wrong apartments, being left on floor of mailroom instead of parcel lockers, I've personally had multiple USPS items returned undeliverable once and then delivered just fine with the exact same address when the sender tried again)--not something the apartment managers can control, but still worth noting. Finally, I'd say rent's a little high compared to what you can get in BR...but imo, you get what you pay for.

Kyleannems

I never could find directions and when I finally did get there I didn’t see a sign. There was this pretty good looking guy pulling out and I asked him where I was and he said “Kyleannems” and just drove off. I’m not sure what that means but the apartments are fantastic and the pool area very very nice.
