Like the name implies, this district is home to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Although this neighborhood is a clear choice for students, faculty, and staff, the University District offers allure far beyond the campus. Great Property with Wonderful Amenities

I had the best tour with the property manager. His knowledge of the property was impressive. He showcased the fitness center, the pool, the dog park, as well as allowing me to immerse myself in the unit and picture myself there. We discussed decorating ideas, how to get the most out of the space and what I could see adding. I am looking forward to calling The Retreat my home.

Decent apartment, bad management

I lived here for a year and didn't care to renew. The apartment itself was pretty nice, and they were surprisingly cooperative with refunding my security deposit. But otherwise there were a lot or problems, mostly with management (there were three property managers the year I was there) and maintenance: -Several appliances didn't work among other maintenance issues when I moved in, and they took weeks to fix them. They did not take complaints about this seriously. -They make you pay rent and utilities through a shady third party billing service that charges fees, and they also charge the residents fees through this service that pay their property taxes and the office electricity. They blatantly lied about these fees before I moved in. -The fixtures are nice looking but cheap; particle board cabinets, outlet covers that make it hard for plugs to connect, plastic chipped bathtub, etc. -The hot tub did not work the entire year, and the pool was "being repaired" for most of that year. Whenever management was asked about it they shrugged and blamed corporate. -Some of the maintenance guys were great, but often the maintenance staff did shoddy repairs and both maintenance and management talked down to me and treated me like a liar about maintenance requests. Some repairs were still left undone when I moved out. -The office rarely answers their phone or emails unless you harass them. I had to call the corporate office to get a reply from the office manager about an important concern after they ignored me for a week. The weekend office staff would usually reply to concerns with "I'll tell the manager on Monday" and were not often helpful. -Their response to COVID-19 was to send the residents an unresearched list of rental assistance programs and give discounts to those who paid rent early, with a vague line about talking to them if you have trouble paying rent. I am not one to complain, but I have rented all my adult life and this is the worst experience I have ever had. It wasn't a slum and it could have been worse, but the management only cares about your money and it's not worth the fairly high rent and dishonest hidden fees.

A Place for My Momma

Teamwork makes the Dreamwork. The Retreat Apartments management team is truly a diamond in the rough. They literally made my apartment search my Mother a dream. Terry, the leasing agent, took her time to make sure that I had the home I wanted for my momma. She was very empathetic to mine and my mother’s needs. I felt as if we had connected, building trust and a working relationship. The property manager, Jimmy was also cordial. The maintenance was surprisingly friendly. Terry made great efforts in putting all my concerns to rest. Thanks to Terry and the management team, I can actually see my mother living at the Retreat.

I'm VERY Impressed!

Two weeks ago, my sister had a water leak issue with her shower. After placing a maintenance order, Terry, the leasing agent, contacted my sister almost immediately and assured her that the shower would be fixed by day’s end. And to my surprise, it was! If only I didn't live in Connecticut, I would seriously consider living here out West at the Retreat. Customer Service Rocks Here!

Very helpful. Great service

I am not computer literate. As a senior I had many problems going on line, opening new accounts and, in general, Doing other things to help me move to a new state. The staff has been outstanding helping with the move. (No fees). Just friendly and efficient service. The manager, in particular has helped me immensely. Hoping my stay hear at the Retreat is pleasurable. Very happy thus far

Check it out

Pleasurable experience. The retreat complex is just the right size, well located, and very nice looking. Most important, the on-sight agent (Veronica) was professional, upfront with all fees, and had a great down to earth personality. No matter how the apartment rates, Veronica's skill and personable interaction is what seals the deal. Glad I stopped by.

Whatever you do don't rent here!!!!

My fiancé and I moved in here about a year ago and it has been nothing but problems! There is no parking ever for guests meanwhile the maintenance guy who lives on property has at least three cars and they are always taking up guest parking spots as well as unassigned covered parking spots that any regular person would get towed for using! Also if you do rent here don't let anything brake it takes the maintenance guy forever to fix any problems and then he will make it seem like it is your fault. Have complained to management and doesn't seem like they care they just let him do whatever he wants!!
