The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Residences at Clarkson
I have been living in Clarkson Corners since it was built 8 years ago. Selling my cottage on the lake due to the extreme weather, I needed a place that felt like home. One day I saw this building being built across from Hafner Park and thought how I would look at their apts. to see what they were like. The landlord gave me a tour and we looked at different styles of apts. I settled on one particular apt and signed a lease for it. Eight years later I am still here. This apartment has all the amenities. I had many questions and some needs moving in to my new home and the landlord kindly answered every question, and addressed my needs. This is best apartment I have ever rented in my life, no kidding. Through out my current tenancy, the landlord has helped every time I needed something done. The maintenance staff is great and always willing to help. This apartment is across from a fire department, a RTS Bus Line, and a park. My apartment comes with all appliances except washer/dryer, wood and rug floors. Internet and cable are included in the rent and so much more. But, ultimately, it is the management that can make an apartment a home. And, I have had my home for 8 years with no intentions of moving.
Our 4 years here was just what we needed, having downsized from a three level home of over 30 years and getting closer to retirement. Our apartment was so very spacious for a two bedroom. We were very impressed with so many things. Over the 4 years years we had very few maintenance issues but when we did, Donny and Eric were always very quick to respond to our needs. The only reason we chose to move was to move closer to our children and grandchildren now being retired. We would highly recommend the Residence at Clarkson.
Friendly and responsive staff. Beautiful property with amazing amenities. I could not be happier! This is definitely going to be my long term home.
Walls are paper thin. We have a noisy neighbor upstairs who throws parties and is generally extremely loud during quiet hours. Wife and I cannot sleep and have complained multiple times to the landlord who does nothing. Places are built cheap and things fall apart super easy. Neighbor upstairs does 20 loads of laundry every day and caused water damage in our apartment. patios have half inch gaps between the boards so prepare to have neighbors upstairs spill drinks on you and your furniture, plants etc. The front door electronic entry gets jammed and doesn't open often and there is zero snow removal. Be prepared to call in sick a lot in the winter since you wont be able to get your car out of here. You overpay by about 300 a month on these apartments based on the quality and what you actually get.
This is a new building made with poorly installed, builders grade materials. The sign hanging out front says " Luxury!" Don't be fooled, decorative hallway ceilings don't make luxury. It is plagued with constant issues, both maintenance and construction. Electrical is erratic and incorrectly installed, as we have had it repaired numerous times early in our stay here. Breakers and gfi outlets trip frequently as well as personal electronics glitching. The windows leak both air and water. Management is non-responsive to issues. The walls are very thin. You hear everything on all sides, another showing of the lack of quality. The elevator is also a constant problem; Often off level with the floor, lurching, surging and banging. Tenants received a letter, supposedly from Otis, saying it was safe. The supposed state of the art surveillance system is off more than on and the intercom is glitchy and often requires a trip to the door to let in guests. Snow removal is poor at best. A couple passes with a plow is what you get. No sidewalk maintenance, no salting, no attention to the handicap spaces and the garages get piled up against. Pay attention to the minor details if viewing this building, it will let you know what you are really in for. Walk up the stairwells and pay attention the the wavy walls. You will be in there a lot after you use the elevator. Management is absent unless you are signing a lease. After you are in, you're a problem. Requestes for maintenance go unanswered. We suspect some of theses exemplary reviews are from management and we are sorry we found this place. Construction has begun on more poorly made buildings, that is the focus now. Take the advice of talking to other tenants, not just the ones the management references you to.
I was one of the first tenants to reserve a unit prior to the construction being 100% completed. I read a post from an obviously uneducated and untrained poster claiming that the our building is a “cheap product”. I have seen the building during different phases of construction and being an educated and trained individual that has construction experience, clearly that statement was ignorant. We have a $1200 per door keyless entry system for every door on the place, a state of the art OTIS hydro elevator system, talked with the insulator and found out owner spent an additional $75,000 on sound control options competitors don’t have, $75,000 HD video surveillance system, touch screen intercom system, beautiful wood cabinets with soft closing cabinet drawers, granite countertops, moen fixtures, upgraded flooring and some of the very best high efficiency mechanicals you can possibly install in a building like this. For example... they went through the process of making sure all common hallways have constant fresh outside air source recycling to keep the building fresh and free from stale oders. Not to many communities do this. Last but not least, my highest utility bill In the middle of the coldest time of this past year was $87.00. So living in this “cheap product” saves me a small fortune of money every month with the low utility costs, free cable tv, free internet and free garbage removal. The only thing I seen that is cheap is the comment made by the ignorant poster. You can’t fool an educated renter and you should stop trying to make accusations without factual information. I am living here..... I’m living in a luxurious and elegant place and saving money. God bless.
Talked with my neighbors about a person posting false statements about our community... Had to see it for myself... I live here and it has been just wonderful. Management is responsive and very fair. I think I know who the miserable poster is and felt I needed to post to say that my experience is exactly as what was advertised. I live in peace and happiness thanks to the Residences at Clarkson. As for the miserable poster.... You obviously haven't lived in many apartment communities if any at all. This community and its management are as good as it gets in the apartment world. I know because I have lived in few different communities throughout my life. Gonna be here for a while.
Heard some chatter about a disgruntled poster?? had to see for myself... I live in the building and seriously doubt the posters even lives in the building. I love it here and know of several others who are content and happy as well. Thought I take the time to put my thoughts down so that new prospects are not misguided by silly accusations. I love it here and wouldn't hesitate to tell my friends or others to come aboard. just my 2 cents...
I heard that there was a person who actually had the guts to post a negative review for our community. Couldn't be further from the truth. What a wonderful clean place to call home. I would challenge the unhappy poster at anytime... don't be mislead!
Looks like we have a dishonest post from a dishonest person. Anyone who asks me about the place will get only a rave review. Awesome place with a responsive management team. Very comfortable and most of my neighbors are friendly. Don’t be mislead by someone’s wrongful post. Clearly the person who posted that has a poor outlook on life in general. I pray for that person to find happiness and not take out frustrations on a great community like ours. Peace and happy living!!!
Love it here. It came down to this place and one more choice.... I am glad I chose to live here. No regrets. :)
Talk to current residents before considering a move to The Residences at Clarkson, you might change your mind. The description makes it seem like it would be an amazing place to live, and that is false.
Love it here... Been renting for many years in many different communities, this is by far the nicest I have lived in. Luxury is exactly the correct word to describe. Place is always clean, smells fresh, very quiet and management is very responsive and fair. Love it and going to be here for years to come.
Brand new apartments with sloppy finish work. Nearly half way through my year lease and still waiting for repairs of items they didn't catch from their builders, or they didn't care. Cheap product with the name luxury giving them an excuse to charge ridiculous rent. I would attach pictures if I could.
