Property Ratings at The Reef at Winkler
I’ve lived in this apartment for the past two years. When me & my husband first moved in they were on top of everything & since the company changed to willow bridge it’s been the absolute worse experience ever. They don’t keep up with cleaning the stair ways or keeping up the apartment complex as a whole. The residents are disgusting they would have there pets poop & pee in the elevator & leave it there. The parking is terrible half of the time the residents that actually live here can’t even get a parking spot because when other residents have guest over they are taking up space in the parking lot. On top of that they don’t have a tow truck come in to get rid of the cars or nothing they don’t do anything. Everything I was promised when I moved here went down hill once willow bridge company came into place. & the property managers keep getting changed as long as I’ve been here we’ve went through 2 property managers that were really great with keeping up with the complex and actually have a bond with the residents. Although the floor plans are nice & spacious it’s not what’s it cracked up to be. For all the money you pay for this trust me it’s not worth it at all they letting any and everybody in here and it truly shows because it’s in it’s beginning stages of becoming run down & over priced !!! Which is why me and my husband are MOVING OUT!!
Had medical emergency and Valerie resident manager came and feed and gave water to my cat. Great staff. Always planning events for residents.
When I moved in, the apartment was dirty—large cobwebs in the corners, grease in kitchen lights, dust and mildew collected on the bathroom vent and in the main bath toilet, not to mention the paint speckles all over the floor. There was a hole through my bedroom door, and my shower rod barely stayed up. It seemed like they were unprepared for my move in date. The only reason I live at this over-priced residence is because it’s supposed to be gated. While the gates are there, they haven’t worked since I moved in MONTHS ago. Do not waste your whole paycheck on rent for a subpar apartment.

We enjoy our apartment at the Reef because, we are just a short drive from everything a person could ask for. The staff at the Reef are all friendly and willing to help with any concerns or needs. We love the amenities with the exercise facility, the big beautiful pool and the up keep of the grounds and buildings. We feel safe because the Reef is a gated community! We love our apartment with updated appliances,quartz countertops, screened in lanai, washer and dryer in each unit, as well as spacious bedrooms and master closet! WiFi, Alexa command center, walk in shower, trash pickup at the door!

We were very clear about what needed repaired and he repaired it according to what needed to be done. I do not have a good relationship with this current service/maintenance technician nor the Property Management Personnel because they do not assist me or our neighbors pleasantly with what we believe to be valid and timely concerns within our community. At this time, I "would not" recommend this apartment community for the price one pays to live here and due to the unkept promises, lack of communication and thus lack of professionalism.
I definitely would recommend the community to a friend and family
When we originally moved in the grounds were kept very clean and there was several monthly community events that we could connect with our neighbors at. Also I enjoyed having a community wall through the active building app to discuss with other residents. Now it seems like they never pressure wash, never keep up the community, never have events, and there is no way to contact our neighbors if we need to.
Some of the residents are sketchy, noisy, allow pet relief where they feel like it, disrespectful.
The other management company seemed nicer and answered phone calls and emails a lot faster, plus they did fun things like a Halloween party and food trucks almost every week, there haven't been once since, not even a small holiday party.
The apartment community itself is great! The amenities and the cleanliness is very satisfactory. There are a few factors we don't like or we suggest to improve. 1. The odor from the water. It smells like full chlorine. When washing mouth or taking a bath, this doesn't seem sanitary. 2. The gates were left open the entire holiday. Understandable during specific dates, but on non-holiday dates, this should be more controlled. 3. The water playground area for the kids does not work, a disappointment for my kid. 4. The main road is very dangerous when wanting to take a left or go straight on Winkler Avenue. They should definitely suggest a Stop Sign or a traffic Light on this area. More so if there's a school area.
The complex is nice and in a great spot in Fort Myers..
The only negatives I have is that people here do not pick up after their dogs, packages left at the doors are stolen and cell phone reception is not good. On the bright side the office personnel are very friendly, kind and helpful.
So far, the Reef has been amazing from the leasing stuff to the community. Everything is beautiful and everyone is so friendly and nice!
Love the apartments, having no phone connection really needs to be addressed most people have to go outside to make phone calls

The staff here is amazing. Anytime I have a question or concern, they immediately investigate, and work diligently to resolve my issue/s.
Apartment is beautiful, I love the open floor plan and high ceilings. The smart options are a nice convenience. The pool and gym are also amazing. Staff is super friendly and helpful, all questions/concerns handled immediately.

This place has made a wonderful warm welcome for us while relocating from out of state!
We are a family of 5 who relocated from Ohio to paradise here in Fort Myers, Florida. We are remodelers by trade and when comparing The Reef at Winkler with other apartment homes in the area we noticed the higher end finishes at this complex. The cabinets are extremely high end, almost 8 feet tall. And our home has all the right finishes to make this a true luxury feel. This is a design I would have created myself. We love all the dogs, wildlife, patio views, and especially the splash pad and beach entry pool. And we love the palm trees! They're lighted at night and it's such a relaxing sight to take in on the patio. I highly recommend The Reef at Winkler because of all the above, but also because of the staff, which is top notch. Kind, caring, and helpful. Thank you, all, for making our move from far away so smooth.

We love living here! The community amenities are incredible & the quality of on-site staff is unmatched. Everyone is kind & helpful, the grounds are immaculate, we use the pool & gym daily! Our pup loves all the greenspace & healthy grass to run in... Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great clean, higher end community.
