The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Quarters Starkville
My experience at The Quarters in Starkville has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn others. First and foremost, the property manager, Ebony, has made my time here incredibly uncomfortable. She has been nothing short of passive-aggressive and rude in every interaction. It’s shocking how disrespectful she is, and I can tell I’m not the only one who feels this way. If she’s in the office, it's an awful experience. She refuses to speak to me, and forces someone else to assist. On the flip side, the other staff members are kind and helpful, doing their best to make up for Ebony's lack of professionalism. The apartments themselves are outdated and show their age. They were cheap when I moved in, but given the new $200 rent increase for next year, they’re absolutely not worth that price. I was told the rent hike is to fund renovations to the gym and clubhouse – two amenities that don’t even directly affect most residents. It’s hard to justify paying that extra money when customer service is this bad, and the apartments are still in such poor condition. In short, I would not recommend The Quarters to anyone. Between the rude property manager, terrible customer service, and outdated apartments, it’s not worth the price they’re charging.

We are genuinely sorry to hear about the negative experiences you've had at The Quarters in Starkville. It's clearly evident that our service was not up to the standard we set for ourselves. We can assure you that this is not indicative of our us. We appreciate your honesty about the condition of the apartments, as well as your concern about the rent increase next year to fund renovations to amenities that may not directly affect all residents. Your experience matters greatly to us and we're sorry that we didn't live up to expectations this time around. We hope for an opportunity in the future where we can provide better service.
This property is probably the best when it comes to location. Mississippi State's campus is located right across and down the street making it easy to walk to class. Renovations are coming too so its exciting.

Do you have to leave When air conditioner goes out yet it is unanswered, so why even have an emergency Maint? It’s unlivable. It was so hot and they would not fix the air conditioner all this week.
Property Manager at The Quarters Starkville, Responded To This Review
We sincerely apologize for the discomfort you experienced due to air conditioning issues. Our goal is to ensure our residents are comfortable and satisfied, and we regret that we have not met your expectations this past week. We're taking your feedback very seriously, and will strive to better our emergency maintenance response in such cases. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.
Internet router has one port available for the 2 bedroom apartment. Not one per person but one for the whole apartment. Splitters don’t work. Contacted management and they said to contact the internet company which says everything works as intended. Sink and dishwasher has been out for five months. Pay more and look elsewhere.
I have stayed here a full year. In this time, Our apartment has flooded. The sink, toilet, washer, and dryer all have stopped working. Our porch completely floods every time it rains, but they refuse to fix it. The staff here aren’t much better. They’re just worried about moving people in. When problems come up, the just send maintenance half equipped to fix it. My car also got hit in the parking lot, but of course they didn’t care nor have cameras to try to help. I would NEVER recommenced this place to anyone. It is the worst apartments in Starkville. Ask anyone from Stark about campus trails if you want a real answer
I moved in to Campus Trails upon reading their brochure and seeing their website. I perceived that It was an oasis for college students and that security was a centerpiece of their complex. I was shocked to open the door and find it filthy and disgusting! Also, instead of there being 3 other men sharing the apartment, there were 2 couples ( each having a child). Bugs were all over the place and I had to threaten the management to get stuff done. Run from this place if you ever see it advertising anything.
Being 19 and leasing my first apartment was kind of like learning how to ride a bike without training wheels, but still having my parents behind me incase I fell. Campus Trails was extremely helpful with allowing parents to be involved, yet letting the residents feel like they finally have a say in something. The place felt like it was a home and not just a bed to nap on after classes. They have a 24 hour gym for residents like myself who can be a little crowd shy with big gyms, their offices have very flexible hours instead of the normal 9-5 weekday times, and the best part is their slogan is right: "live close drive less" that 5 minute walk to campus is so much easier than trying to find parking then rushing to class. This place is affordable, convenient for students, and has many special amenities to make college life a little less stressful.
