Property Ratings at The Quarry
I moved into the Quarry in April of 2025. I have worked with Matt and have had a great experience. My apartment has lots of windows and light and the apartment is adorable. The building is well maintained and the amenities are wonderful. The office has been very friendly and maintenance does a great job. I am very glad I chose The Quarry as my new home.
Property Manager at The Quarry, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your positive experience and kind words about The Quarry. It’s wonderful to hear that you’re enjoying your new home, especially the natural light and amenities. Your feedback about the friendly office team and maintenance is greatly appreciated.
The complex looks nice and my unit was nice for what it was. The garage doors were broken 5/12 months I lived here so the secure parking I pay $100 a month for was never secure, and the building was left not secure because they don’t lock the doors from the garage to the inside. My door battery to enter my unit via fob died and I didn’t know until I got home from work at 10pm and maintenance said it wasn’t an emergency and if I need something done to call a locksmith. I asked for a recommendation and they recommended a place that closed at 8pm and had no phone number to provide. The garage is always full of trash that people dump and it sits for weeks at a time. The parcel locker was broken most of the time I lived here, so packages could not be delivered to a secure location. I had multiple stolen from the mail room. Overall will not be renewing my lease and started looking for new places to live after less than 6 months, I would have broken my lease if the fees that came with it weren’t so insane.
Property Manager at The Quarry, Responded To This Review
It's concerning to hear about the challenges you faced with building security, maintenance communication, the parcel locker, and the cleanliness of shared spaces. Your input is valuable and helps highlight areas that can be improved for residents.
Positive - the building is new, cleanish, great location for the area. Matt is awesome and the maintenance staff is stellar. Negative- The windows and doors are cheap and leak heat during the winter leading to really high electricity bills. The parking situation is always tight and expensive. 100$ for the garage is crazy have had multiple negative customer experiences with the management team at the quarry while living there. Specifically Marissa, has used a condescending tone with me multiple times. I also have received incorrect communication from the quarry sometimes with a different resident name on the letters or a different unit. During moveout, they do not communicate exactly how they expect the apartment to look. They also charged fees that are non-transparent and seem to unfair. For instance they said my carpet was damaged. I asked for proof and they sent me black and white grainy photos as evidence
Property Manager at The Quarry, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're glad to hear that you appreciate the building's location and the efforts of our team members, like Matt and our maintenance staff. Your comments about communication and move-out procedures are important to us, and we want to ensure a better experience for all our residents. We appreciate your input and will use it to help improve our services.
Do not respond to emails. Will get in your face and be condescending instead of acknowledging anything even when you have it in writing. The office lady smells like smoke so bad i got a migraine. There is garbage everywhere dog hair everywhere. You can't really use their community room because it's basically their office. There are astronomical fees for everything, and neighbors are loud and management does nothing ever. Most poorly run apartment I've ever lived in. Rude is an understatement. Don't move here. The garage door is always broken so you pay for secure parking that is never secure. People will steal your packages and management does nothing.
Property Manager at The Quarry, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at The Quarry. We take all comments seriously and will use them to improve our services.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. The property itself is beautiful and we loved the apartment, however the office management is unresponsive to emails to all 4 of their management inboxes -- and staff changes out so often they are unable to keep track of resident concerns, move out requests or basic questions. Prepare to get bombarded with constant "lease reminders" about what is prohibited on property that go out to all residents instead of addressing issues directly. We had to follow up at least 3 times with office staff on our lease renewal and then the lease termination when we moved out. The cherry on top was the additional cleaning, painting and "damage fees" in an apartment that was immaculate and had no damage outside of scuff marks on the front door.
Do not recommend living here. Maintenance staff does not know what they are doing. Hot water has been out now since yesterday early evening and now just saying they cannot get anyone here until maybe late tonight. Why is this not under warranty. This is a brand new building! Management does not stay up on anything and are very difficult to get in touch with unless you actually go down to the office after 10am. They do not answer the phone. Believe the Reviews!
This place is absolutely terribly managed. And good luck getting your deposit back even if you leave your unit in good condition. Seriously, believe the reviews and stay away
I am a current resident and cannot recommend living here. The apartments themselves are nice I will not lie, but it is not something you can't find somewhere else with way better management. We didn't get the pool, AC ports and the community room until Summer was over. The building is STILL under construction 5 months after we moved in, luckily the construction people have been way kinder to us that any of the management has ever been. From the start they were rude and inattentive to our questions and have continued this. Parking is a nightmare. Charging $125 for the parking garage gives people no choice but to try and find parking on the street because rent and utilities with that steep of a parking fee on top of it is just not doable for some people. Speaking of utilities, someone else mentioned this but it is a bit strange how we pay for watering the landscaping when we have no grass. I guess they are watering the dirt and ferns for an absurdly high price? The second floor garage on the new building is not open yet. They will not give a timeline on when it will be open which is very frustrating. The fact that they haven't responded to any of these reviews speaks volumes on their customer service. Overall, there is a big lack of accountability from the management which makes it a discouraging experience to ever interact with them. If you are someone who likes to just move in and never speak to management then this might be a good fit but unless something changes, I do not see myself living here after my lease ends. Also I reviewed previously and that review is no longer available not sure why but it is of note...
This place is awful. When my lease is up I am out of here. Property management is horrid. Issues you say?? I've been paying full price rent for months - didn't have access to the pool until August and then not much of August, still can't park on the second floor of the garage, they charge you for watering the landscaping (shouldn't this be something built in to your rent?? - plus it's split amongst renters so if they have low occupancy you pay through the nose - nearly $100 this month!!), there is supposedly a rec room, but it really just feels like their staff room so going and using it always feels strange, parking fee is astronomical considering this is a suburb apartment but you better get a pass because there is hardly any parking spaces on the street, application fees are RIDICULOUS here and they don't communicate the process or whether you've been accepted or not... I could go on and on. Did I say how snappy and rude the office gals are? Just find another place to live, there are plenty that will be more compassionate, kind and fair.
I’ve had a really bad experience with this place and very likely moving out when the lease is up or I’m able to find the time to move. They have the worst property management group. Only one of the individuals remotely cares about the job and puts in some effort the rest are basically useless. Within the first few months, I was locked out of my apartment after they changed the locks and had to pay 220 out of pocket to get a locksmith to open my door because they didn’t put the correct phone number for maintenance. Recently they set it up so that paying for parking is now basically a requirement because out of the blue the vacant business care about cars in their lot and it’s conveniently after they distributed permits so that they know who to tow. Horrible experience and please save yourself and look somewhere else.
