Maintenance used to be good at answering requests quickly and promptly, however that stopped being the case a year ago. Neighbors can be loud, especially at night, and the AC unit does not have a vent that takes the cold air through all the bedrooms. Still, it's still livable if you're looking for a relatively cheap place to stay. Laundry machines don't work.

Not the safest or nicest place to live electricity & heat is outrageous and rent goes up yearly. Rethink your choices. Better places out there.

It is a nice, quiet apartment complex to live at&the staff is very friendly also. Whenever I had a maintenance issue,it was taken care of rather quickly.

I moved out of my family home in 2020 and my apartment here was the first time I had ever lived on my own. It has been a great stay and I’ve renewed my lease every year and will be here through 2025 as well. As a woman, I feel safe in here and around town as I enjoy my 3-4 mile walks during the week. Any maintenance issue I’ve had has been fixed in a timely manner, if you consider how many residents they have on the property. Jessica and Blaine the Property Manager have always been pleasant, knowledgeable; I feel as though they genuinely care and take pride in their jobs and I hope they know they’re appreciated, as well as maintenance. I always recommend this complex whenever someone is looking to relocate.

Management will accuse you of lease violations that you haven't actually committed while your neighbors commit actual and obvious lease violations and they ignore them. They also accused me of missing a full rent payment when this new management took over. Luckily we had receipts.

I've lived here 7 years and the new management is the worst. When they first took over, they accused ne of being behind on rent for 1 month. I had to bring a year worth of receipts to prove I pay my rent. Now today I get a letter in the mail stating I have committed a lease violation. They claim I changed the lock on my door. First of all, I have been here 7 years and have NEVER changed the lock. Second of all, it looks the same as the other locks. Why was someone trying to enter my residence without a 24 hour notice or permission? Third of all, the lock is messed up and have been told about it. You have to pull the key out slightly and work the lock back and forth a few times. But it works. So now they are saying I have committed a lease violation because they can't operate a lock that they didn't fix and have no reason, written notice or permission to enter. But yet, many other people actually commit lease violations. Cars in the parking lot for months with flat tires, motorcycles are banned but 2 are in the parking lot, people have dogs on the aggressive breed list, people run generators with the exhaust pointed at my door during a power outage and the office did nothing about that lease violation. The list goes on. Prepare to be accused of things you haven't done while tenants around you get away with bloody murder.

Very nice place to live, I have lived here for almost 10 years now. Extremely convenient to shopping centers , stores on Ford Road in Canton, Emagine and MJR movie theaters, gyms, banking and post office. Also very conveniently located about 8 miles from the airport and I 94.

This Property Charged Me 200.00 to replace laminate flooring that had A little piece of cardboard from A box stuck to it. I complained to the office about not receiving my full security deposit and they stated they would refund me my money. They over charged for utilities upon completion of my lease,, Never Received A refund or anything. Further more, my front door lock broke and No one came to fix it after I called the office and put in A work order and emergency maintenance. Still no one ever came to fix it. So Me and my kid was in the apartment with the door to our apartment that did not lock. We had to tape the lock together, anyone could have just walked into our apartment at anytime. The Diswasher was always full of standing water, old and out dated,, after I paid for an upgraded apartment. My experience was Poor

When I first moved in there was roaches everywhere it took them weeks to get rid of them our door to the foyer was broken we kept getting locked out and keys kept getting stuck in the door nobody in my building could get in without somebody being here they have no cameras my birthday package got stolen out of my building and they didnt do anything about it HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE they just fixed the door this month and i moved in in October highly do not recommend

Convenient to shopping, and I-94. Nice modern apartments, with dishwasher, AC, and access to laundry machines. Nice outdoor pool and workout room available.

Keys of Hall door are made wrong so lock wnt open in one try have to twist and try multiple times and it sometimes takes 5-10 min just to open the door. Its summer now and it will be torture in Winters. And the office staff says they won't change keys so I have to twist and try every time.
Good location. Friendly and helpful office staff. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently.
Lived here for a few years. Mattress and couches molding outsude for months, sidewalks not shoveled, hallways not vacuumed. Mold and water in some basements. Quiet and safe (except for maintenance issues)

Our buildings' hallways are cleaned weekly and we have actually recently painted them and replaced carpeting throughout. We encourage residents to submit a maintenance request for any concerns that they encounter in their homes and our team does our best to address them as promptly and thoroughly as possible. Additionally, our trash removal service does occur weekly, sometimes even twice a week. Larger items are left there occasionally, but are removed as promptly as possible. Though we regret that your time here was not more enjoyable overall, we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
Birch Hill apartment is the best place to stay in Westland MI properly located and very clean environment
I enjoy staying here just a few negative feelings. Most of all enjoyable.
Good access to shops, stores, movie theatres, main roads and freeways.
Nice quiet community. New owners are making needed improvements. Office staff is very friendly and responsive.
I moved here from a nightmare last summer. I have never regretted my move here in any way! The office staff is like family. Maintenance is always on top of everything. One time I put a request in via the apartment site prior to opening time - it was done in less than 2 hours! This is not an isolated event - maintenance is always this fantastic. The grounds are kept up. Neighbors to date have been friendly, quiet and take care of their dogs. Laundry facilities are just steps away from my home in the same building. Never had a problem with having hot water for showers either. I plan on being here for a good long time. It's my home.
Birch Hill Apartments is a great place to live. They are very pet friendly. They allow Huskies, even though most apartments in Michigan do not. They are even currently building a pet park. The office and maintenance staff are really nice and helpful. Whenever there is a problem, it is resolved quickly.
My apartment is very accommodating to people. I have a Siberian husky dog and most apartments don't accept them as they are on the aggressive breeds list. My apartment accepts them which is very accommodating to me. Being pet friendly they have pet stations for the dog waste and are also building a dog park. All of which makes me happy. They also have good maintenance guys. They are quick at responding to our needs.
On my third year here and I'm happy I love my neighbors!! Apartments are nice and big !!! People that work here are nice too !!
