Property Ratings at The Papillon
These apartments seemed great at first, but there were too many issues while actually living there. The previous landlord and current one both lack professionalism in how they communicate with residents, if at all. As of the beginning of this year (2022), the landlord wasn't able to be reached via phone, email, or even in person most of the time. The laundry amenity has also been unavailable for an extended period of time with no updates as to when it would be fixed despite the previous landlord promising to "tie up any loose ends" before abandoning the complex for a different one. Apparently repainting the buildings was a bigger priority than the promised amenities. The rent is too expensive for a mediocre living space where the tenants are treated as a nuisance.

Lurin took over and completely blew me away. We are so used to not seeing anyone, and never getting anything done. But Michael has take charge and action to get this community #1 again. He literally sweeps the sidewalks everyday and walks around for trash. We had a resident activity for Halloween, when was the last time i have done that? What a change and i cant wait for the future with Michael as our Property Manager!

Five stars is not enough to show how happy I am with the new 2020 Management, Lurin that took over. I love this community because the environment here is beautiful. The apartment are spacious and great natural lighting. What I really like is it's very near to work and Restaurants and grocery stores. This place is beautiful!

Wonderful community call home!! The Newest management team that took over this year 2020 during Covid is on top of creating beautiful renovations and bring life back onto the property! Michael is wonderful and is very professional manager. Lot of greenery and location is central. I highly recommend the community to anyone!! So excited for the renovations coming within the next couple months!

these apartments are horrible don't recommend anyone moving here. water is constantly turned off without any notice. moved in the the apartment less then two months ago, and called about cancelling my lease was told pretty much i have to pay 3 months rent to leave this month. worse experience i ever had. had a drunk lady banging on mine and other neighbor door looking for attention at 12 midnight. bugs are everywhere, walls are paper thin can here my neighbors, and if i can give less then a star i would.
Steeplechase used to be some nice cheap apartments in a nice neighborhood but now with the constants change of management it’s no longer. The rental prices of both the 1 bedroom apartments and 2 bedroom apartments used to be prefect for the amount of space that each apartment was offering; Now the rental prices are freaking ridiculous . The rooms are small , kitchen is small there is no where to place a kitchen table . The on site laundry room is horrible half the washer and dryers work ; Pot holes on the road . The management Don’t really care about the tenants.
This place is infested with mold and mildew. The manager Mrs. Belinda is rude and will not help with anything. I told her about the outrageous mold situation and gave me an eviction instead. Wouldn’t even come out to view the situation. I couldn’t live in the apartment a whole year because it smelled so bad and the mold grew up the walls. I found out that over half the apartments there had mold, even my neighbors!
This is my very first apartment and I'm freshly new to the city. I've only been in the apartment for a month and two weeks now. I truly love how cozy and comfortable the apartment is (since it's only just me.) The only thing that sucks is the landlord failed to tell me that the place is infested with rats. They have been all in my bed, tampering with my things, and leaving poop everywhere. Holes everywhere in my walls and these jokers are huge and you can tell they've been there for a while. It's been 2 weeks straight and they haven't sent pest control to help fix the problem. I really want to move out and wish I could get off the lease and find somewhere else to stay. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. It sucks that i'm experiencing this in my first apartment.
We've all heard of the line, " you get what you pay for" and in most cases this is true. Typically you pay the cost for quality. So, when I needed an apartment post college, all while waiting for that great paying job that all college grads dream...I found a apartment that was a fit for my then budget. I thought well you can't be picky but when I walked into my apartment with the vaulted ceiling and wood floors I was kinda impressed. Not to mention the price!!! I could've moved but I decided to renew.
