La Mirada is a peaceful city southeast of Los Angeles that is great for students, commuters, and families. Biola University provides the city with a college town-like spirit. Situated next door to the University is Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center, a large waterpark filled with all the summertime fun any family could want. The city’s other crown jewel is the La Mirada Theater for the Preforming Arts, a Broadway-style theater that attracts visitors from all over. More great amenities of La Mirada include conveniently placed restaurants in shopping plazas equipped with the necessities. By traveling a bit outside of town, residents can access magnificent nature preserves like Powder Canyon and Arroyo Pescadero Trailhead. Because of all the great features of La Mirada, it has been mentioned on a few “best cities” lists, making it a popular spot.
