The Oasis at Lakewood Ranch

I have lived here since 2021. And I have to say I regret my choice in moving to this property!! This is not a safe property to live in anymore. Today and yesterday my car was vandalized twice in two days. Someone cut one of my tires and then came back the next day and tried to push a nail in the other tire. The tire place where I got them replaced said it was definity intentional. My neighbor who is 71 years old had her bike stolen off the bike rack. There are no cameras in the community other than around the office and pool. As much as we pay here in rent and to be in one of the nicest communities in Florida, we are exposed to anyone that walks or drives into this community. It is not gated and it needs to be. And when we go to management we get excuse after excuse as to why they are failing to do more to protect the residents who live here. The so called officer that lives on the property DOES NOT PROTROL. He is NEVER seen walking the property as they say he is. I called once when there were young children in the gym playing on the machines and thier parents were not there, and asked him to come in because they were loud, and he said he would show up and never did. Since living here there has been SEVERAL car break ins in the community and nothing has been done. They seem to care more about notiying us about when our rent is due than making sure they do all they can to help deter theft and damage to residents that live here. This is not an Oasis, this is a nigtmare!! I have held my tongue to long and I will not anymore. I asked the property manager Britany today could I put a Ring camera on my garage door and they seem to care more about having damage done to their garage doors than the damage that was done to my car. I was told that they will be putting up a camera to face my buidling but she could not tell me when. That does Nothing to help my peace of mind as a resident. There should be urgency in getting cameras put all around this community and having a gate installed. If you visit other properties in this area, the majority of them are gated and have cameras throughout the property. Picerne Properties needs to do better. I would recommend anyone that thinks about living here to take your time and look around and find another property that at least has some security measures in place that are better than what we have here.

This is the 4th apartment complex I have lived in since I arrived in Florida. I toured so many complexes, looking for a clean, new, well kept and reasonable one. Then I met Krizia- a warm, fun, informative woman who was the deciding factor for me. She answered all my questions and made my move-in smooth and easy. I had a bottle of wine in my flat when I arrived, which was a lovely touch. The property so well kept. Although only about 2 years old, the driveways were re-finished, outside power washed and no dog poop or over spilling bins. Maintenance come almost immediately and the whole front office is a delight!

We recently completed a 7 month stay at The Oasis. We purchased a home and needed a short-term rental while we waited for our home to be completed. Not having lived in an apartment in many years, we weren't sure what to expect. I'm pleased to say we couldn't have been happier at The Oasis. Our apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The Samsung appliances were great. The couple of times that we needed to submit a work order, the maintenance team responded right away. They did a great job keeping the complex clean and everything in working order. The amenities were very nice and never overcrowded. The Leasing Office staff was super friendly and regularly planned events for the tenants. We really hated to leave and would have been happy to stay longer if we hadn't purchased a home.
