The riverfront stretch of land that forms Saint Albans and Cross Lanes encompasses two charming West Virginia communities. Property Ratings at The Oaks Apartments
This used to be a beautiful complex. Now management starts a project, leaves it unfinished for months and then starts a new one. The property is a mess. Don’t expect them to care about any problems either. My AC hasn’t worked in 11 days and they refuse to give me any update or timeline when it will be fixed. My apartment gets to 90 degrees daily and is completely uninhabitable from noon to 11pm.

We currently are doing a lot of renovations to the property and do realize that it's not super convenient but it is to improve the property, and every project will be finished at the property, it just takes times. We do appreciate everyone being patient with us during this time. We had a brand new unit installed, and unfortunately it stopped working, we are working with the manufacturer since it's under warranty to get it fixed as quickly as we can. We will continue to do what we have to and provide portable/window a/c units to keep your apartment comfortable until the issue is resolved with the manufacturer. We truly apologize and hope that the credit on your account helps for some of the headache/inconvenience this has caused.
I have lived here for several years now. It used to be decent. Now they are raising our rents $100s of dollars and we currently have 0 amenities. Our pool isn’t even open this year. You can’t start charges prices like Roxalana Hills when they have a gym, a pool, a car wash area, playgrounds, walking trials, etc. our property is completely torn up, there’s no parking and we don’t even have a pool. Ridiculous

We are so sorry for the frustration you are feeling in regards to the property renovations, and the pool not being open yet. We are doing lots of renovations including siding which is being done on the office which has also delayed the pool opening. The siding hopefully will be finished this week and hopefully the pool will be open this weekend. I have lived at The Oaks for a year now. I love it here!!! The staff if very helpful and friendly. Maitenance is amazing. I had an issue with my dryer and they were knocking on my door within 5 minutes of me making a call! If there is an issue the landlord makes sure it is taken care of right away. The property is well manicured and taken care of. In the winter they do a wonderful job keeping the road/parking lot clear and salted when it snows. Very pet friendly. My fur babies are very happy here. There are multiple pet exercise/walk areas. Very quiet. Most tenants are young professionals or retired individuals. I would HIGHLY recommend The Oaks.
My husband and I just moved to The Oaks, and we have been very impressed. The apartment has been well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood is very quiet. We are thankful to be here!
So glad I found a pet friendly apartment complex. They make it so easy to take your dog out and clean up after they do their business. There is also a very nice pool and other amenities. Neighbors and staff are great as well!
I am a real estate agent and familiar with many different types of rental properties. This is a wonderful place to live with many professional working people and retirees. Staff is great. Maintenance is a priority and neighbors are very friendly. Very pet friendly. Overall very happy here and would recommend to anyone.
I am very happy to be living at The Oaks! Once viewing an apartment and meeting the staff, I knew I would be safe and happy here! My apartment was ready on time, in good repair, and very clean. The maintenance and office staff are friendly, and most efficient. We have a quiet, friendly and clean neighborhood. I would recommend The Oaks with confidence!
This is a high quality apartment complex. Most residents are young professionals, thus there is thankfully a lack of loud parties. Maintenance responds very promptly and fixes everything well. The apartments are close the the highway and are worth every penny.
