The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Oakley
I lived here for three years. The ceiling and walls are paper thin. You can hear every foot step and whisper. In the last year there were intermittent ,and at times daliy German Roaches. While they did initiate pest control I did not wait for full infestation before leaving in March 2025 from unit 5. Other then that my heat was inadequate in the winter which I could deal with given the price. You may luck out and geta good unit, however I'd like people to be aware that there are roaches in this complex, as I have also talked to neighbors down the street with the same issue.
I tried my luck contacting them every way I could despite the reviews that others left. The only person I could reach was a person directly from the property management company who told me they will have someone reach out. But that was weeks ago and I never even got as much as an email back.
Our lease is almost over and my partner and I are extremely over this place. As first-time renters, The Oakley has made this first-time experience for us a nightmare! I decided to stay quiet and not post any reviews about this place but now with new leaks happening again I am speaking out! DO NOT LIVE HERE! LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING!
The communication is just terrible. No one is ever in the office and it takes weeks for emails to be answered. I haven’t even moved in yet! That’s a red flag right there
If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not live here under any circumstances. I moved in at the end of July into a "newly renovated apartment with all new appliances" and had a huge leak under the sink that took at least a dozen emails back and forth and multiple maintenance visits for them to repair as I was just blown off and a broken dishwasher they refuse to fix. There is dirty murky water sitting in the bottom of my dishwasher for over 3 weeks now since they told me they fixed it so I used it and they did not. I was told I would be getting a replacement, that has yet to happen. They don't care about you at all and all they want is your money. The apartment wasn't even clean when I moved in with grout all over and no-one there cares. Best part is, I was forced to move in by a certain date and the apartment still had all of these issues. And to top it off they chipped the brand new tub and told me they were sending out a resurfacer which has yet to happen almost 2 months later. Not worth the headache as I keep getting blown off. What because I am young they think I am stupid and am going to give up? Nope. I pay to live here and for the amenities I was promised IN MY LEASE. This is out of hand.
We moved in back in August and have been here 7 months at the time of writing this. The day we moved in, the whole place was so dirty that we had to take an additional 3 hours just to clean the apartment before we could even move our stuff in. It’s like they didn’t even bother hiring cleaners, we had a full trash bag of dust and debris by the time we were done. They advertise it as a new apartment but there was paint stains on the floor, cracks in the walls, coffee stains in the kitchen cabinets, and the balcony was caving in. When we complained about the balcony they said “The balcony isn’t necessary for the apartment to be livable.”The nastiest part was finding an old mouse nest in the utility room, which we had to clean! For the next 3 months we had problem after problem. We didn’t get hot water in the shower for 2 months, and to this day it takes several minutes for the water in the kitchen sink to get hot. We had a roach problem for several months that several exterminator visits didn’t fix. Our dryer vent was clogged and we asked them 3 separate times for them to clean it until we ended up just cleaning it ourselves. The trend with this place is you’ll put in a request for maintenance and they either do a sub par job or don’t do it at all. The parking lot is atrocious. Since we’ve been here it’s been full of nails and wood pallets since the other half of the complex isn’t even finished yet. Due to this literally half of the parking spaces aren’t even useable unless you want a nail in your car which has happened to us several times. When we complained all maintenance could tell us is “yeah it’s happens to us all the time” as consolation. By December most of our problems were fixed. The only problems we really have now is still no hot water in the kitchen, the parking lot, and that we still get roaches from time to time. The apartment itself is nice if you can manage to get passed all the blatant problems when your first move in. Aesthetically it is way better than most other apartments we viewed when we were first moving. Jackie, who runs the main office, is never there and when she is, she typically promises you things she can never follow up on. Joe is part of the maintenance team and he’s always super friendly and does his best to help out. He’ll go out of his way to ask if you need anything done if he sees you in the parking lot which is nice. Overall not the worst apartment but it’s definitely a headache most of the time.
Do not let the lure of a newly remodeled apartment fool you. Sure the appliances are all brand new but that’s pretty much where the charm ends. 1. DOG POOP. There is dog poop literally everywhere. Good luck trying to take a walk or let your kids play in one of the ‘safe’ areas. 2. TRASH. When you’re not dodging dog poop you’re looking out for trash all over the place. 3. BAD BUILD. Whoever did the work on these remodels clearly had no idea what they were doing. The floors are not level. The windows have major gaps. There are major holes in cabinets so mice can come in. The washing machine has been hooked up incorrectly, so that the hot water is actually cold etc. how does one mess that up? 4. CARELESS STAFF. Whoever these people have hired to do work for them clearly don’t have a brain. Workers leave wires causing a massive tripping hazard. They leave tools lying around for days or even weeks. They blast music so loud you cannot have a conversation in your own apartment.
I hate it here, they don’t answer maintenance requests you have to beg and beg for them to come. The communication sucks. Everything breaks in the apartment if you touch it. It’s definitely not worth the money you pay to live here.
If your looking for a great apartment that includes NEW amenities and has a ideal location, The Oakley is for you. Yes, I understand from the outside currently it does in fact looking awful, but with on-going renovations The Oakley has great potential. Again this property has wonderful potential, my only main concern would be how trash was handled during construction.
The design of floors, the cabinets/appliances are great. But during the renovation they must of used horrible contractors because there is paint dots on the new vinyl plank floors. You can see where the paint on walls wasn't done well. There is a lot of trash in parking lot. They are still currently renovating it does not bother me but the trash it causes does. Maintenance doesn't seem to come pick the trash up. Other wise good location great apt.
Property Manager at The Oakley, Responded To This Review
Thank you for submitting your feedback. We are happy that you like the design, appliances, and the location. As you mentioned the community is under extensive renovation in which every unit is being fully renovated as well as the building’s exterior. Renovation will be fully completed this winter. In the meantime, new units are being delivered and the grounds are continuously improving. Construction creates a lot of trash and we are doing our best to keep it to a minimum. There was a specific issue with one of the construction crews not cleaning up properly and we addressed that immediately as well as adding more dumpsters on site. The maintenance team is doing its best to make sure our community stays clean and trash-free even during the renovation. We appreciate the feedback and this has been reported to the crew.
