The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. Property Ratings at The Monarch
The staff is very friendly and willing to help. My move in experience was flawless.
All the 1 star reviews are exactly spot on! Horrible management, it takes them forever to do anything! and if you have any questions, they go in circles and have excuse for everything.I have rented 5 apartments in my lifetime and by far this is the worst managed apartment ever! Too bad its run by a horrible management since the building itself is really nice.

We strive for excellence for all our residents, however, we have not met your expectations and sincerely want to understand how we can improve. I would love the opportunity to speak with you directly on how we may improve your experience and for other residents. Please give me (Penny) a call at 630-788-5849 or email at ppriebe@laramarapts.com. Thank you again!
Management is running this place into the ground. No maintenance, no communication and the manager smokes and talks to neighbors about other neighbors creating a toxic environment. She never takes accountability for her mistakes and never tries to make it better. I would recommend a garbage can before living here ! May “look nice” but just wait for your ceiling to fall in and no one is there to help you.

Thanks so much for the great review! We strive to be a wonderful place to call home. Have a great day!
No smoking rule. As the community manager circles the property blowing out smoke. Then goes about work smelling like a chimney. One maintenance guy for 200 plus units. This place is awful. Very high police presence.
Management has changed 3 times in the span of our 15 month lease. Amenity hours were changed, despite what was advertised. Elevators out of order multiple times, the fire alarms went off 6 times at least, some due to pipes busting, packages are not secured & a $1000 package of clothing items were lost for over a day. Previous property manager threatened to evict animals due to owners not cleaning up after their pet. Dishwasher was “fixed” 3 times upon moving in. & the icing on the cake… $500 security deposit was supposed to be refunded upon moving out, did not receive it to the forwarding address. Called for 2 months, my work hours don’t allow me to come in during business hours at the apartment. Finally get ahold of someone & now we have to wait even longer because they sent the check to the wrong address.. no one could even return a phone call. Pathetic.
The staff are great. Kathy, Shivas, Rashawn, etc all do a stupendous job running the place and keeping it up. They listen to all concerns and suggestion brought to them. The amenities and grounds are fantastic and kept clean. Gym is great and we are right next to the Des Plaines River Trail. A perfect place for bike enthusiasts to live. The people here are relatively chill and easy to get along with. Most people who live here treat it like their home. They clean up after themselves and want the noise levels at a realistic level. I am resigning our lease here. My wife and I love it.
Zero stars !!!!!! This place is really bad at running an apartment complex. I called them everyday for the last week, and as you to leave your name and number but no one ever calls back. They take 4-5 business days to reply to your email and then when they do it's from a generic company email so you have no direct communication. I will not recommand.
