Property Ratings at The Merian
I had electronic key issues for three days and there own staff couldn’t get my key to work. In the evening I wanted to enjoy the amenities on the roof where I found the TV’s inoperable. When I brought the matter to management I was told it was user error. After being at the Merian for two years I must have forgot how to use keys and TV’s. The management did not take any responsibility for their shortcomings. After reviewing my lease to cancel I realized their lease is one sided. The tenants are held accountable for our end but they have no obligation to the tenants.

We have a unique access system that requires specific steps to be completed in order to sync and/or repair access issues. We are always happy and genuinely willing to assist our residents in the event o f a qualifying access issue with their fob. Our amenity space TVs were indeed malfunctioning for a short period but was reset and fixed. Thank you again for providing this review. The Merian is really great place for living. I am happy I chose The Merian. It's very beautiful and clean place. I feel like I am living in 5-star hotel actually. Location is perfect. It's quiet and feels safe. I really love sky lounge view of San Diego. Price is quite fair. So I highly recommend the Merian. It's honest not sponsored opinion.

I live in the Miriam complex and I love this place very much, especially with the Brookfield administration because it made life in Miriam completely different than before.

I would definitely recommend living at The Merian. I've been living here for almost two years, my daughter and I love it.
A great place to live, amazing community for business and exciting environment.
The manager Chad believes he owns the building, and changes the rules unilaterally to suit his whims. The old management was shady as hell, but at least they operated the building reasonably as a business. Not worth the luxury price. Skip this building and go for one of the newer ones. Also, the hot water heater on floors 2-9 clogs with plastic from the plastic water pipes every few months, causing the hot water to stop flowing to those units efficiently. Expect cold showers if you rent a unit on those floors and have to take a shower between the hours of 5am and 7am.

I have a lovely apartment. Staff is responsive. It is downtown so you have to understand parking can be tricky. We have beautiful amenities and great place for a pet. I am seeing more families with children. I am a teacher in the area and there are plenty of schools both private / charter and public to choose from. Freeways are close to Seaworld and San Diego Zoo. I have been living at Merian for almost 2 years. You can walk to Seaport Village and restaurants
The leasing process has been very enjoyable. Our agent Claire has happily assisted us thus far and we look forward to joining the community. I hope our living experience is just as enjoyable as the leasing process.

I have been living here a little over a year now. Overall I find the public place to be very clean, The staff to be very professional, helpful and friendly. I thoroughly enjoy living in my space I find it to be very bright and cheerful. Other than the the refrigerator?s ice maker spitting out ice cubes at me as if I just had a big wining on a slot machine everything else in my home I love thoroughly. I wouldn?t change anything else And I am hoping to live here for many more years to come.

Before moving into the Merian about six months ago I visited over ten buildings and completed 17 appointments; it took me around three months to complete my apartment search in the 92101 zip code; as of today, I don't see myself living anywhere else for the price, location, age of the building (little over two years old) the amenities and the excellent customer service from the attentive and always friendly management team and the always alert and professional security team.
This is the best way to live at the Meriam join us :)
