Welcome to Asheville, where mountain scenery meets artistic spirit in the heart of Western North Carolina. Situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains at the confluence of the French Broad and Swannanoa rivers, this mountain city combines outdoor adventure with a thriving arts scene. Downtown features preserved Art Deco architecture housing galleries, restaurants, and breweries, while the historic Montford neighborhood showcases Victorian homes along tree-lined streets. The University of North Carolina at Asheville campus contributes to the city's energy, and the Biltmore Estate stands as a testament to American history. Renters can choose from modern apartments to historic bungalows, with average rents ranging from $1,263 for studios to $2,232 for four-bedroom homes, with rates down about 4.5% over the past year.
The Blue Ridge Parkway and nearby hiking trails provide easy access to outdoor recreation.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have lived at The Lofts for almost 2 years. They changed over management/ owners recently, and the new people do not care about tenets at all. The management will constantly spam your email with advertisements for businesses. You are supposed to have reserved parking as a tenet, but people park in reserved spots all the time, and no matter how much you complain about it, management will not do anything to alleviate the situation, and they will lie to you about checking the parking lots. A couple of times they will respond with saying it is too much or too hard to patrol the parking lots. But heaven help you if you touch the thermostat in the hallways, because that is a fine. Everything has a fine, and management loves to remind you of that constantly, in emails, letters, and laminated notes they post throughout the complex. They will also do "safety inspections" and set a schedule for going into your apartment when you are not there, but they disregard the schedule and will inform you hours before they enter the apartment. They claim to value you as a tenet, but this is a lie. All they care about is money and they will not work with you on your lease. Half of the time, the grounds are not maintained. What little patches of grass they have are either overgrown or patchy and dead. They say maintenance is behind on service requests, but there is always time to rearrange or purchase new furniture for common areas that no one uses. When I moved in, I was told that trash was included in the rent, but when the new management took over, they raised rent and put an additional trash fee on top of that, saying it was never included; someone is lying in that situation. The apartment I lived in had no natural sun light, surprisingly had a deck (most units do not have this, or they have French doors with a railing in front of them) but it wasn't covered, and if it rained heavily it would leak through the French doors, awkwardly laid out kitchen, a laundry room that was too small to fit a washer and dryer (in fact you couldn't even open the dryer door fully without it hitting the wall), and it was a pain to heat and cool (seems like it didn't have adequate insulation).

I have lived here almost two years and the first year was amazing then the old management sold and left some of the worst passive aggressive staff with no overview. It feels like every month the management staff are leaving passive aggressive notes in tenants doors. Not to mention this behavior but the pool has been broken almost all year without any update or credit on everyone’s account. Before these letters we were sent emails almost everyday about minuscule issues. A home should feel welcoming and the staff should really turn up the notch before they run everyone off.
