Property Ratings at The Lodge at Porter Ranch Apartments
I'm a longtime resident here (since 1998) at the property and can surely say that through the multiple managers i've seen come and go, Jack and Siraj are making up for the issues over and over. We would always have problems with plumbing, groundskeeping, work orders, the list goes on and on, but now the office is fast and professional whenever things are needed. Our AC recently went out and they had it fixed in less than 24 hours. Theres also alot of upgrades they did to the property like brand new pool and deck and gym remodel, so you can tell they care about the building. Thank you Office!
I am staying here since quite a long time. I have seen atleast 4 Managers and 3 Assistant Managers till this duration. But the way Siraj handles the things is really nice. He takes care of the property as if its his own property. Work on the Maintenance request immediately as soon as you bring it up with him. Few apartments are renovated few are not. More laundry machines are needed if compared with the number of apartments. So infrastructure wise there is still room to improve.
The manager Lorna is completely unprofessional rude and just completely Lacks the professionalism and kindness to be in this industry. Beware when speaking to her make sure to have everything documented because she will turn around and change up the whole story. Lorna and the leasing consultant are on two separate pages one person tells you one thing and the other person tells you another. After having someone try to break into my car multiple times and damaging it i no longer feeling comfortable in this community.
RUN!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!! This is one of the WORST buildings I've ever lived in. I moved here 02/04/17. I just moved out 02/03/19. This place is just an overpriced ghetto. they keep the property looking nice and you won't realize the problems until you move in and experience this hell on a daily basis. I don't even know where to start. Let's start with the giant tube they installed in the closet. Not only did they break the closet bars, and dirty up the closet, they ended up charging me for painting the closet for damage they did. This tube (I think it's for sewage) takes up so much space the already tiny closet, the ONLY storage in the entire apartment. We named this tube was named "the luxury tube" because this place claims to be "luxury living" ... Lets move on, in my two years living here, the pedestrian gates were always broken, the parking garage gates were always broken, cars were broken into and stolen, the security used to sleep in the pool area instead of patrolling the building, there were BED BUGS, raids, grafitti, rape, homeless people wondering the building and sleeping in the laundry rooms and roaches!! Let's talk about roaches, sooooo many roaches!! lots of different kinds. you had the massive roaches that run around freely and come into your apartment and those were the worst. It's scary knowing these things are running around and the building says there's nothing they can do about it. Then the tiny roaches.. They used the roach glue stuff in my unit which I thought was nice since I had pets and didn't want the spray.. never stopped them.. soo many roaches!!! Oh and you may love living here if you like the weekly water shut off.. always leaking pipes.. and they are too incompetent to to turn the hot water back on once they shut the water off. This was always lovely.. nothing like being in the middle of a shower with shampoo in your hair when the water is suddenly shut off with zero notice!! This place is not affordable, nor is it pleasant to live in. It is not "luxury" in any kind of way. Just keep looking, I promise you will thank me that you did. So many empty apartments, you never know who's living around you. I gave these people $1100 in deposits, they gave me back $250 and lied about why. They couldn't charge me for the old dirty carpet or the old floor so they illegally charged me half the paint bill which they aren't allowed to do.
This apartment really is perfect for me. Roomy and easy to keep clean. The neighbors are quiet, polite and friendly. The Centeral Heating/Air works great, the appliances are in good shape, and it's easy to get around. I also love the closet layout. And the pool is perfect for laps.
