I have a wonderful experience leasing. Terrell(The Manager)and the entire rental staff made sure that I got the apartment that I wanted. This is a very nice complex. I had have no issue with neighbors and I believe my say here will be pleasant.

Beautiful grounds, helpful staff, friendly neighbors (like Ive literally been asked multiple times if I need help with my groceries). Also quiet and safe: Im a woman living alone and I feel total comfortable, including when I sit on my patio at night. Ive lived in a few other states and this is definitely top 3 apartments that Ive lived in.

Each unit has a patio or balcony very personal area. Within walking distance to over 30 eateries, two gas stations, specialty markets, gourmet restaurants clothing stores, three coffee shops, cleaners and two fitness centers. Two miles from Beaumont Royal Oak.

Very Nice Place to Live, Just Missing Some Modern Touches

I really love my apartment, the staff is very sweet, all of my neighbors are friendly, and I'm a woman who lives alone and I feel very safe here. My only complaint (and it's not even really a complaint, more of a few "wish" items that aren't here) is that there are few modern conveniences missing. Like you have to use quarters for the laundry instead of the cards that you can load with cash and insert into the washing machines/dryers. Having to go the bank to get rolls of quarters all of the time is a bit of a pain. Also, I wish there were more washers and dryers in general: in my building that has probably 12-15 apartments, there are only 3 washers and dryers. Finally, I live on the bottom level, and the ceilings are very thin; it sounds like horses galloping above me (and I know that they can hear the people that live above them, so I'm guessing everyone's dealing with this). None of these things are dealbreaker for me, and look, I'll take feeling safe in my home over 70 washers and dryers. This is really a very nice little community.

I loved living here for the first 8 months. After that, this has been a miserable experience. I have neighbors that have moved in above me that have no consideration at all. I constantly smell marijuana and people are coming and going all of the time, I don't even know who lives there. They have a small child who they let run around every single day from 11am until well after midnight, screaming and crying. They are loud as well, banging things, throwing things, vacuuming at 11pm. I have complained to the office and am not being acknowledged, nothing is being done. I have lived in apartments pretty much my entire life and this has been the worst experience I have ever had and unfortunately I am not in a financial position to move.

The staff at the Kensington has been incredibly charming and professional. They get tasks done quickly, and have excellent communication. It has been a pleasure staying here. My only complaint is the lack of consideration for timing to maintenance request. When I first moved in, a few days later the countertops were being redone. Which I hadn't thought much of until the technician completing the service suggested I vacate the apartment for 48 hours. Which I found incredulous giving I had to pay a prorated rent for September along with October rent upon move in. I would have preferred to be given a later move-in date if this service was going to require me to vacate for 48 hours, less than 10 days after moving in. Additionally, while I must say that if there is any issue in my home the staff is quick to address the work order quickly, there is very little consideration to schedules. The technician appears with no notice of a set time. Only during the last request ( a follow up to a service that was still giving me issues) was I given the option to set a time because I asked what time they would be here. I think those issues are minor nuisances, especially given the quality of the staff. I 'd still recommend any young professional to consider the kensington. I really enjoy the area, as I prefer to have a smaller carbon footprint, meaning I go most place on foot. There are several grocery stores, retail stores, convenience stores, restaurants etc.

I have lived in apartments pretty much my entire life and have never lived in an apartment community that I like as much as Kensington. Everyone on the staff has been incredibly friendly and helpful, any maintenance issues I have get taken care of immediately and they even sent me a birthday card! They have a lot of free events for the community and as a whole its just been a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Kensington to anyone looking to move.

Superb safe diverse clean quiet Community!! Excellent Leasing and maintenance staff!! My thermostat went out in the summer, guess what, replaced within 1 hr! Grounds are well maintained, neighbors are extremely friendly, polite and respectful! Fitness center, pool the best all around! Children riding their bicycles, neighbors walking their pets, and me grilling steaks! Market Fresh has the best streaks! Only complaint is, we need a area for sand volleyball and a gazebo!! Rock On Kensington!!!

The Kensington@ Beverly Hills is a great place to live. The manager, Aundrea, goes the Xtra Mile to ensure satisfaction guaranteed. Example:. On most recent Aundrea went way out of her call by going to the post office to pick up my mail. The mail was sent priority, but oddly became a 'hide and go seek' venture by the postal service! Aundrea not only exceeded my expectations, but handled my 'crisis' with professionalisn and the expeditiously! (I was not able to go to the POST OFFICE because I am out of state.) Toria, leasing agent---very witty-good problem solver--very analytical-very professional. Terrel-. Great cookie baker--very hospitable--sincere.. simply a nice guy! The Kensington is a great place to live.

I like the Kensington apts. I've been residing here for 13 years. The office staff is very nice. In the summer the landscaping is absolutely beautiful. The apartment can really use some updates especially with the kitchen cabinets. I'm excited about getting my apartment painted. One more thing, the water bill is ridiculous. Almost making residing here unaffordable.

Horrible Service and Liars

People are attracted to this complex because of the area it is in and the fact it is a gated community with garages. Do not let that fool you! Maintenance does fix problems, however, the fees you have to pay are ridiculous! I work all day and I’m rarely home! The water, trash and sewer bill goes up every month! This month it is at 85! I would never recommend this place to anyone. The staff is incompetent! They messed my lease up three times by quoting the wrong price! The assistant manager is rude! The leasing consultant is confused! And the manager is a liar! She told me I would pay more than 3-10 for water, trash and sewer. To me that is acceptable so I signed the lease. In addition when they do outside repairs, they half do the work. My balcony was rebuilt but the railings were not painted; they are rusted. The entry doors should be replaced. The landscapers don’t care if they hit your vehicle when cutting the grass! My neighbors rent went up $100. I am fed up with this place and will never recommend it to anyone. There are better apartment communities in the area. The materials they use in the apartments are cheap. The paint is so cheap you cannot wipe down the walls. If you put bleach in your tub it will stain it and the same in the kitchen! The only good thing I can say is the place is quiet most times and it’s across from the police station. For the amount they charge for rent, I expected better service.

Great Apartment!

My fiancé and I just renewed our lease for our second year here. We couldn't be happier. The grounds are clean and quiet, the staff is fantastic, and the apartment is beautiful and affordable! We really couldn't ask for a better place. When you put in an order for a repair, they are at your door within a couple of hours. For emergencies, they are typically there within 30 minutes. We had our heat go out in the middle of winter (there was an issue with a switch) and maintenance was there in 20 minutes and it was 8pm at night! I would 100% recommend this place.

This apartment community is very quiet and convenient to anything you will need. With a variety of local stores, businesses and restaurants, you don't have to travel far for entertainment. The community is within a close range of multiple movie theaters and 10 - 20 minutes to your nearest mall. Close and convenient to I-696, M-10, M-39 and even Downtown Detroit!
