Located on the Gulf of Mexico, Corpus Christi is a fairly large city with a unique personality combining elements of a coastal getaway and a modern metropolis. Corpus Christi has some of Texas’ best beaches, bayside parks, and waterfront homes. With access to several bodies of water, windsurfing, fishing, kiteboarding, and other watersports are extremely popular. Padre Island, Mustang Island, and North Beach all have their own special atmospheres and give renters access to a variety of activities. The fun doesn’t stop at the beach either. Corpus Christi has plenty of entertainment options for any age to enjoy. Families flock to trampoline parks, waterparks, and amusement parks offering classic activities from bounces houses to go-karts. Renters adore the museums, theaters, bars, and live entertainment venues like Whataburger Stadium downtown.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Hudson
We moved into a "newly remodeled" apartment. I should have known there would issues when my niece opened of the cabinet drawers and three roaches ran out. Mind you "newly remodeled" . We literally have to spray insecticide every night in order not to wake up to roaches all over the kitchen. Complex recently was bought out and trying to reach someone in the office by phone is virtually impossible.
When we first moved in, everything seemed peaceful. When we started settling down there were many issues within the apartment itself. We had roaches, rats, broken doors, blinds, the sliding glass door’s “knob”, holes in doors, ceilings. In the master bathroom, the whole wooden area was peeled off, which caused many roaches and other insects as well. Three weeks in, the kitchen ceiling started leaking. We had it “fixed”, but it started leaking again. Pest control was of no help when it came down to the bugs. In the guest bathroom, the wooden area on the sink was peeled off which caused roaches in the bathroom and the guest bedroom as well. The stove doesn’t work either, we had someone “fix” it once or twice, but it stopped working as well. Only two of the “areas” on the stove worked instead of all four. The office is of no help as well. I understand that they have to look after many other apartments as well but it shouldn’t take them over two months to fix something small, like the stove or even the bugs. If I could rate them it would be a 4/10.

Absolutely terrible, do not move here if your life depends on it. They will nickle and dime you every change they get, everything is falling apart, they will not respond to any maintenance requests, and they will be exceptionally rude every time you try to speak to them (after you've signed your lease, they'll be super nice before that). Literally the worst place I've ever lived.

I love the management, the hard maintenance workers, and the location!
It's a nice apartment really enjoy being in it! Well established place is to get to and find!
I'm in apartment #2109 of Walnut Ridge apartments in Corpus Christi. #2109 is on the top (third) floor in the most remote location - furthest from entrance. To top that off the apartments do have roaches and tiny 'bedbugs'. Not exactly sure what they are but they're definitely a nuisance.

The Walnut Ridge Apts are not the best at all. Maintenance takes FOREVER and they just paint over EVERYTHING including sinks!!!! They never replace something unless it is entirely falling apart. Been waiting to get dishwasher repaired/replaced for 2 weeks now...& counting...a leak under a sink took a month! Manager lady is rude & ugly to the tenants PLUS THEY RAISE RENT every YEAR by $40-50! Wouldn't you think they want to keep a good paying tenant by keeping their set rent? No...they keep raising until they move out because it gets way out of line high...wallpaper and drawers looks like they have been here since 1970's. Moving already...
Where to begin with this apartment complex? Walnut Ridge offers old and outdated apartments at a high price and will raise your rent each time you renew your contract with them. The unfriendly staff and wrongly posted office hours make you feel like you're not at home. The complex has a pest infestation and a really bad pigeon problem. The exterminators walk into the apartment, leave a note saying hey sprayed and will walk out without spraying, especially if they don't know you're home. The pigeons will roost on your balcony and have also rooster in the roof of an apartment building. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone especially first time renters, they will try to get as much money out of you as possible and will come up with fees that were not in the original contract! If you do end up at Walnut Ridge be advised to keep an eye out so you're not taken advantage of!
When I first moved in, I was excited. I tried really hard to get this apartment and I thought it was gonna be a good one. But I was dead wrong. I was promised a new oven, called the desk numerous times and got no response, when anything broke I had to call FIVE TIMES just to get a response, then there were the rats. Now, I have a child who stays in her own room. We come home one day and theres just a huge chunk of my tortillas just eaten through. Plastic and everything. So we say we can try to fix it ourselves. Not in the least. No amount of rat poison will kill the things, and I am just so happy to be finally moving. I mean the people at the front desk are nice, yes, but I only have to deal with them for so long, I was living on the second floor with RATS EATING MY THINGS. Theres only so much I can take. Im sorry but I would no recommend this place to ANYONE.
