With its charming and historic downtown, brick-paved sidewalks, and rolling green hills Jackson is a hidden gem. It is located off I-40, roughly halfway between Memphis and Nashville. It is the county seat of Madison County, and it is home to several colleges and universities, including Jackson State Community College, the University of Memphis at Lambuth, and Union University. It's also the location of the Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame and the Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum.
When Jackson residents want to shop, they have plenty of options: Shoppes at the Columns is an outdoor shopping area filled with well-known stores and restaurants. Old Hickory Mall, an indoor shopping mall, is located off Old Hickory Boulevard and is surrounded by smaller strip malls. At Fairgrounds Park, residents can peruse the items at Friendly Frank's Flea Market. For fresh produce, they head to the West Tennessee Farmer's Market.

Great location, especially for college
Apartments were good. The location they are in is fairly quiet for the city, and is located close to many areas that people might move to Jackson for. I highly reccomend for those looking to move in for school.

It’s a great area walking distance to just about any and everything you need. Area is within the bus transportation line so people can get to and from places that are not in walking distance. neighbors are fairly quiet area is very clean and maintained love all the office staff they are awesome rock stars!!!!

I have been at the Hermitage for almost 3 years now. It is a nice and quiet place with little problems. However, some problems are ongoing and looked over. The staff are great but sometimes hard to reach. Maintenance is fair, especially since it has been hard to get someone that will stay and do the work. Since I have lived here the pool has also been a problem since it has been late to open and early to close the last two years. Our rent has went up since I have been here too but nothing has changed to make it worth the price. Over all, it's not a bad place to live but seeing that our lease states we have a basketball court and volleyball net it would be nice to actually of those amenities.

Not What We Expected!
We have lived here since Feb 2015 and have experienced a lot of positive and negative about this place. The positives are that this is in close proximity to everything so it only takes about 5-10 min to get everywhere, they have a lot of community events for children and maintenance is usually here when you call. Cons are that the office staff is rude and the apartments are not updated. No washer/dryer connections in every apartment only a few and the on site laundry is old and run down. Parking is horrible in my building. Water turns cold while I'm showering if sink is on. I have never experienced that at an apartment before. For first timers who are not picky who are looking for a place to live I will recommend because it's at a cheaper rate but if you've experienced apartment living before and already have expectations then this is not the place for you. I hope you find this helpful.

I live here for 7 years and I love it here. the neighbors are nice and friendly and always looking out for each other. And it's close to everything which is a plus. But I do want to move into something bigger to start a family soon.
