The Hammocks at Geneseo

I was the very first resident at The Hammocks 7 years ago. Angel and Mike Lynch are the managers and they do a GREAT job! Everything here is quality. I am on the first floor and have a 2 bedroom/2bathroom apartment. The layout is super and there is not one step in the whole apartment. There is an attached garage, so all I have to do is drive in and walk a few steps to my apartment. No slipping and sliding in the winter and no danger in falling. My neighbors are friendly and kind, as is the team of Angel, Mike and Kathryn. They are very available to solve any problem. I feel very happy and secure at The Hammocks at Geneseo. Not only is the property beautiful, but the community makes The Hammocks at Geneseo the best place to live! All of the residents are so friendly, everybody waves to you when walking or driving by. The Staff are excellent, 5 star leasing and maintenance team. Couldn't ask for a better place to call home!

I moved here a short time ago, and I am loving it! Big garage(plenty of storage space) Very nice neighbors. Love that it is Non-Smoking. The courtyard is awesome, has a fire pit to relax at. Tera and Angel are great and I love that Angel lives here. That was actually a selling point for me. Oh, and I love watching the 10 deer roam the area. Very good choice for me!

My boyfriend and I moved all the way to Geneseo from Dallas Texas. We were looking for a place where we can feel safe, and where our lovely animals were welcomed. Let me tell you, the Hammocks offered that plus more than we could've ever imagined! What really sold me to this place was the AMAZING staff. Angel is whom I spoke to regarding the prices and questions about this complex, and she was more than helpful. She gave me every piece of information that I needed to know. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. All units come with a garage, and trash/recycling bins that get picked up from the trash-men every week. The snow is always thoroughly plowed in our drive ways, and the maintenance guys are very quick to come; even after hours. Angel and Tera really care about everyone here and their happiness or concerns. These are more than apartments, these are HOMES. Very quiet complex with super sweet neighbors. Fire-pit in the fall is amazing, I could go on and on. You definitely get more than what you pay for here at The Hammocks at Geneseo.

We love living here and find it to be a friendly and safe community that is very well maintained! Responsive management for any issues, as well snow removal is a great plus. Dog friendly buildings also which is a bonus!

I have been at the Hammocks for over a year, and what a blast it has been. The services are done in a timely matter and you can't ask for a better working crew. They make you feel at home the first time you meet them. You've got a problem, they fix it as soon as possible. Since coming from another country, they have made life so much easier on me and my family when they come and visit. The best there is in Geneseo, guaranteed!!!

First and foremost, I think the most valuable attribute worth mentioning of life at the Hammocks is the fact that the sense of companionship that radiates from the environment goes far beyond just community, and really becomes a true sense of family. From the minute my mom and I moved in, we knew that we had made the absolute right decision. We were going through a very difficult transition in our lives and couldn't have imagined a warmer, more open-armed welcome. Angel and Tera have created a space where individuals, families, friends, (and pets!!) can come and enjoy the comfort and security of living in a small town while not having to be stressed about fully manning the responsibilities of being a home owner. The Hammocks offer an array of different apartment options and each one is beautifully modern and well attended to. I know that when I leave for college, my mom is in a safe and friendly neighborhood surrounded by people who care about her and her wellbeing, and that's what really counts. There is nothing more comforting than getting a call from her after a nasty New York winter storm and hearing that her driveway has been plowed and her sidewalks shoveled. It may seem small, but those are the little details that everyone over at the Hammocks NEVER overlook, and it's that sort of excellent, thoughtful service that you can expect! I highly recommend making the Hammocks your next home, you won't regret it!

I have lived here for two years now and could not be happier with the Hammocks. Angel and Tera are two of the friendliest, kindest people you will ever meet. Angel has helped me out on multiple occasions; for any young adult here she truly is like another mom to them. The apartments are extremely quiet and peaceful, and I cannot say enough good things about living here!!!

I was interested in moving to Geneseo to be closer to work. I had heard they had a good school district. I googled apartments in the area and was so happy when I found the Hammocks, right from the start I new this is where I wanted my family. The apartment is amazing the staff so friendly its really like having one giant family. All my favorite stores are just minutes away and we are only minutes away from the 390. Going to Rochester is so easy. This has been the best move my family had made in years and we are proud to call the Hammocks our home.

We downsized to apt living after 30 years in our home and needed to find an apt that we would love living in and most importantaly accommodate our pets. When we came to look at the Hammock's and met with Tera and Angel (who manage the complex) we were delighted in how they made you feel like family, and after living here for several month's that hasn't changed! The apts are beautiful and spotless! The best part of living here is no shoveling, mowing grass and not having to do home maintenance. You can't beat the Genesee Valley Sunsets!! David & Laurie

Very good housing for folks that are retired (or live a quiet lifestyle) and to whom finance is not an issue. Some of the positives about renting here are: 1) the buildings are new and the units are fairly spacious 2) the units come with private garage (1 car) and driveway (2 cars) 3) leasing office staffs that are quick to respond to maintenance or other requests 4) accessible lounge, office, and fitness area in the leasing office 5) respectful neighbors 6) for the most part, it feels like you have your own detached property, minus the worry about mowing, snow shoveling, or maintenance. Some of the not so positive things about renting here are: 1) Rent is much higher considering its location (should be offering pool and tennis courts for this price) 2) The units do not have good sound insulation 3) The HV/AC systems in the units are loud (very difficult to hear TV or Stereo when it kicks in) 4) Close to shopping (Walmart, Wegmans, etc.) however, there are no sidewalks that connect to them 5) The fitness center is fairly limited

We were so lucky to find this expanding and well- maintained living community in Geneseo. If you value a safe, friendly environment then this is the place for you. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and their ability to make you feel welcome. The work they do it is great. The properties are either new (as they are being built as we speak) or in great shape. The layouts and carpets/ counters are very modern. The location is close to all your shopping needs in towns and is close to the freeway, very convenient. The snow removal is very thorough. They are very pet friendly! Great community. Could not be happier to have found this community!

I wasn't planning on moving to Geneseo, I was looking a bit closer to Rochester, but I stopped in to do some comparison shopping. I loved the beautiful open apartment, i loved the attached garage & the view from the balcony , but what sold me was the sense of community . As Angel drove me around by golf cart , she knew everyone's name & so many people smiled and waved. I love it here!

You won't be disappointed. I love the open layout, breakfast bar, and large closets. The attached garage and private entrance are an added bonus. The staff here are awesome! Very attentive to requests and always waving hello when passing by! Great location near college, Wegmans, and other shops too.

We are so happy with our beautiful home! It looks so pretty, the staff is always friendly and they respond very quick to maintenance requests. The clubhouse is great and we love using the fitnesscenter. It is also very convenient to live close to Walmart and Wegmans. We are very happy to be part of the Hammocks community

I've been living here for almost two years and could not be better! The perfect apartments, the perfect deal, what else can you ask for !!

Just as a general FYI, if you'll notice all the "5-star" and wonderful reviews were posted all around the same time, it's because the Hammocks management essentially paid for these reviews using a "free-month's rent drawing" for any renter that posted a "5-star" rating and submitted it to the management. So, these reviews really can't be counted on for their sincerity and truthfulness (seeing as how the incentive to get $1400 or more for a few minutes effort might mask true opinions), and frankly running this type of contest is very sketchy to say the least. This place recently finished construction on a few more buildings, and they are surely scrambling to get the units filled, thus the push for great reviews. But don't believe everything you read. The units are just OK - nothing great, nothing terrible. But in this writer's opinion, definitely not worth the rents charged and what a renter really gets. The HV/AC systems in the units are LOUD!! The fixtures are of low-quality, off-brand or low-end design (faucets, sinks, appliances). No pool and small fitness center, as well. The units do come with single-car garages, which fit small/medium cars, and not much more. Yet management also expects renters to keep both the large trash bin and the large recycle bin inside the garage as well (which gets really nasty in warm months) - emails and letters get sent if they are outside after the pickup day. The place is close to Wegmans, and right behind Wal-Mart, but plan on driving and not walking - management has no plans to even put in a sidewalk/path to Wal-Mart, and there is no sidewalk on Volunteer Rd (which is highly trafficked and drivers go pretty quickly). Look, it's an apartment complex, but really not anything that stands out, especially with the high rates in addition to utilities. I'm not trying to be vindictive, and normally wouldn't post a review, but the less-than-honest reviews due to the (low) possibility of free rent was too much for me to just sit by. I say Poor Showing, management of the Hammocks.

I recently sold my home and moved into the Hammocks at Geneseo. This was the best decision I ever could have made. I absolutely love the convenience and location of the apartments. Not only are they beautiful and luxurious, but everything is taken care of for you. If there is a snow storm, the driveways and sidewalks are all plowed and shoveled, not to mention if anything goes wrong inside the apartment, they are there within a short period of time to assess and fix the problem. I also love the fact that they allow for pets. I could never have left my pets behind when I sold my home. The staff at the Hammocks go out of their way to make you feel at home, and it is a very friendly and safe community as well. I would recommend The Hammocks at Geneseo to anyone. It is by far the best home I have ever had.

We moved last year to the Hammocks at Geneseo and we are still in love with this place! The appartment is great! Beautiful, well furnished and cozy. I if we need anything all the staff is ready and happy to help! I have two little kids and no matter if summer time or winter we have a blast playing outside! Well... we are so happy to have choosen the Hammocks at Geneseo!

Moved to The Hammocks approximately 6 months ago and am enjoying every minute! The management is top notch, property is beautiful, centrally located, well maintained, and my apartment is wonderful. Angel and Tera are the best! I have highly recommended The Hammocks to my friends. You will love it here!!!

I moved here last year after 40 years in downstate New York, and I love my apartment so much that I don't have any chance to miss my old home. If you are a neat freak, this is definitely your place because it is immaculate! You won’t find a speck of dust or a crack in a wall even with a magnifying glass. The managers are models of efficiency, and super-nice besides. The location could not be more convenient – less than one mile to both Walmart and Wegman’s, plus dozens of restaurants and stores within just a few miles! I couldn’t think of a way to beat this place if I tried!

I have lived at the Hammocks for the last six months. The Hammocks complex and the surrounding area is safe. The apartments and the grounds are well maintained. The complex activity is very quiet during the daytime and nighttime. Management goes out of its way to be very responsive to your needs. The way the apartments are designed allows for a very quiet atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Hammocks at Geneseo!

As a resident of the Hammocks, I appreciate the safe community, quick response to maintenance requests, and quiet aspects of this neighborhood. I have lived at the Hammocks now for a year and absolutely love the little community that has been established. Angel and Tera are proactive in nature and always willing to assist you in ensuring that your experience at the Hammocks is a good one. The other residents are friendly and gather together, especially during the summer months. The apartments are spacious and have top of the line, stainless steel appliances. I brought my own washer and dryer to the unit and the Hammocks staff assisted me in ensuring that they were put in properly - especially with the gas dryer hook up. I have stayed at other apartment complexes and have not encountered a more family friendly environment. The clubhouse is equipped with movies, a computer to use and print from and a full gym. I found that to be a great selling point for me. I have really enjoyed being a part of the Hammocks and see myself growing there over time. - lc

The Hammocks is an upscale apartment complex located just miles from the beautiful Letchworth State Park - voted the "Grand Canyon of the East" in the quiet community of Geneseo NY. Geneseo is also home to SUNY Geneseo(one of New York's State Colleges)and within a short driving distance to the Finger Lakes Wine Country or Niagara Falls or Toronto. The apartments are well maintained and the staff at the Hammocks is top-notch. It's a great place to live and I'm thinking the Hammocks would be a great place to live when I'm retired too because UNY Summers are beautiful and I can always winter in Florida or stay at the Hammocks and enjoy the snowy outdoors in Geneseo.

We love our 2 bedroom apartment and attached garage. It has lots of storage and is so close to stores, doctors, and restaurants. All our friends and family have been very impressed with the apartment. Management has been wonderful!

We've been living here for almost a year. It's so peaceful. Tera, Angel and Kevin take care of everything. We love it!

After 50 years of home ownership,we made the choice to try renting. I can't put a finger on why we chose Geneseo,but we couldn't be happier with our decision to try The Hammocks. Our apartment is beautiful with plenty of space and the Geneseo area offers so many shops and restaurants and just shear beauty in the surrounding area.

I moved in about 6 months ago and could not be happier. The staff is very friendly and is always available when you need anything. The community Is nicely located Near to our favorite stores like Wegmans, Maurices and even Applebee’s. I look forward to living here for years to come.

I can’t say enough good things about my new apartment in the Hammocks at Geneseo. Having a garage, laundry room , walk in closets, a beautiful kitchen with quartz countertops and a breakfast bar , and the open floor plan, make me feel right At home. I have lived at the Hammocks at Geneseo for over two years now, and it is by far the best apartment I've ever rented. Tera and Angel are always on top of any concerns, the apartments are sound-proofed extremely well, and the convenience to nearby stores (esp. Walmart and Wegmans) is awesome. Neighbors are friendly and the on-site fitness center is open 24/7, which is a nice touch also. Would recommend highly.
