The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Grand at Market District
It has been under new owners for over a year now, it has only gotten more dangerous and more expensive. Expect homeless people to come up to you and your kids, expect to be kicked out of the pool area by an officer at 4pm, don't expect an officer or the office to help when there are car break ins, loud music, or someone is shooting outside.
This is a horrible apartment complex. If you are a parent looking for your college student an apartment to rent, I beg you to bypass Lakeview at Market District apartments. They are liars. I have called several times as a concern parent to speak with a manager. Each time, I am told the manager is busy. Some of my concerns are below. Fire extinguisher is missing in the breezeway- the person that answered the phone at the leasing office said they have NOT contacted the fire department and that they must wait until the fire department come for inspection, but they do not know when. I told them in the meantime, a fire can happen. Therefore, I contacted the fire department. Hopefully, they get a fine for not having a working fire extinguisher for the residents because they are fully aware that it is missing. Trash is everywhere- after complaining to the leasing office, I was told that they are short staffed. There are open packs of raw food such as chicken just laying in the breezeway. No lights- It took them 4 days and several phones calls from me to come fix the circuit breaker so my son and his roommates could have light in the common area of the apartment. They had to use their cellphone lights. Entrance gate- The entrance gate is not working. They said they do not have enough gate keys, so they must leave it open. One reason we selected this apartment for my son is because of the gate for safety. I could go on and on about them. I can guarantee that they make sure to collect the rent on time every month. This place needs new management!!! Runnnn!!
this place is so unprofessional.. you can find a better apartment for way less money. they do not respect their residents. they seem very nice at first, but once you sign, youll realize you trapped yourself. they give bare minimum to their residents and threaten to charge for everything.

I have been living here for four years now and I have enjoyed it each year. With the new renovation and all the amenities, it has only gotten better! I don’t want to leave this place. The staff is amazing and I love all the events they do. I definitely recommend staying here.
Great location, its near walmart, multiple restaurants, and a lake. They are always having fun events and contests for residents (e.g. take a break Thursdays, Wind down Wednesdays). Maintenance is quick and well mannered. They have never failed to fix an issue. The clubhouse staff is always happy to help with a smile on their faces. They also keep up the place, it stays clean and it has been recently renovated. Practically all the amenities are brand new. I’ve been here over two years and I'm extremely satisfied.
Lakeview at MD has been home to me for a year now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love the staff — they’re all so nice and helpful! They are very dog friendly and will greet your dog by name. They are always doing fun things like win Wednesday and take a break Thursday. Sometimes you even get a surprise of breakfast by the front gate on your way to class! Would recommended 10/10.
I love all the amenities, maintenance is prompt and lets not forget that lake view!! I am so glad I got to spend my last semester here!
Horrible place to stay, leasing office lacks customer service skills. Nothing is throughly explained, they change policies and procedures without notifying residents. None of the apartment complex rules are enforced. Do not park your car in the parking lot, if anything happens to it management will do nothing. Animal droppings are everywhere. It smells of urine and tobacco smoke around most buildings. The only reason for staying as long I have was due to not having anywhere else to go
Let me first start off by saying this is my SECOND year staying here and it will be my last!!! My fist year here under the old management was Great. This new management is awful!! Especially the maintenance team. My bed frame had broke and I put in a work order to get fixed. They instead changed my mattress which was new, with a old DIRTY one. The bed frame still broke I might add. The next day come I put in another work order for my old mattress and new frame to come in. They replace the frame finally and this is the mattress they bring me. I can't post pictures but it has pee stains everywhere and black dirt or some short all over it. Now do this show that they care for you or just want your money!? You tell me. I came home to this after a long day of work. I slept on the floor instead of this bed. I hate this place and can't wait for my lease to end.
This is one of the best properties you can live in at Georgia Southern. I love that it is gated, and that the people who work there are always professional and someone is always there to assist you. The property is always clean. a few things that I do not like a bout the property: There is never enough parking.. never. If your building is behind the club house, then you will not have a place to park after about 9. You have to park across the complex and walk, which is not safe. There is only one trash compactor, so you have to walk really far to dispose of trash. I will say that there are always great events there, poo; parties, give-a-ways, etc. IT IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!! :)
Nice rooms and the gym is great when I don't feel like driving to the RAC.
Overall a decent place to live in Statesboro. Had a few issues with billing and work orders. Nice pool, nice rooms with private bathrooms and walk in closets, and gated which is nice when the gate is working properly.
