The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Grand at Lake Sheri
Do not move here. Do not renew your lease. Today was supposed to be our move in day for our new unit. Instead, at the very door, we were turned away and told, once again, to wait a few more days. We lost money calling off work, spent time and resources preparing, and were left standing at the entrance with no home to move into. This is not the first delay, it's one of many. For months we've been patient, understanding, and cooperative. In return, we've received nothing but empty promises, shifting dates, and excuses. When we asked for essential repairs like fixing the AC, they took a month to respond and then placed a duct-taped window unit in the living room. Now every rainfall floods the floor. Our neighbors aren't better off: one has an entire section of ceiling missing, insulation exposed, and faces higher electricity bills while waiting months for repairs. We consistently meet our obligations: rent paid early, on time, always more than enough. Yet we’re still treated like our concerns are an inconvenience. Enough is enough. If you value your money, your time, or your dignity, avoid moving here. If you already live here, consider carefully before renewing your lease. This isn’t about pity, it’s about holding this place accountable for the incompetence and disrespect they’ve repeatedly shown. The old management was bad, this one is worse.
I have lived here for 4 1/2 years and I would say it had been by far the worst living experience I have ever had. The Grove does not take care of its residents, lacks in communication, and fails to resolve issues timely. I would not recommend this community to anyone until they can resolve the issues they currently have.

I've lived here for over 4 years now :) and am quite happy to call grove home. Theres always events and friendly faces down in the office. Any issues had are always taken care of if you bring it to their attention. My favorite part is all the events they host. Im a huge fan of taco tuesday and the food events. though I do think a nice meet and greet would be a great way to start off each year since I can honestly say I dont actually know any of the others who live here.
All around not a good place to live in Valdosta. Far from everything. Staff is rude. Roach and spider infested. Dog poop everywhere. Valet trash stinks.
I moved into the Groves very excitedly only to be highly disappointed. The rooms are new and up to date, but the linoleum in the bathroom is peeling up and the threshold bar is messed up. There's black mold on all the sink faucets (disgusting!!). There is no enforcement of quiet hours so I was up until 1:30 a.m. trying and praying for sleep because my inconsiderate neighbors were blaring their music. People are always screaming and yelling. Dogs always barking. Dog poop everywhere. Smell of marijuana everywhere. Trash everywhere. Most of the residents are nice and even welcomed me to the Groves when I was moving in, but I'm starting to see that the majority of them are inconsiderate. Speed limits aren't enforced and I have almost been run over many times, and my car has almost been hit when backing out almost every day because people are so impatient. We had a problem with our dryer when I moved in and maintenance was very slow to fix it. They replaced the dryer with a "new" one - yeah right. The "new" dryer had pet hair all over it, and neither my roommate nor I have pets in our apartment. It was rusty, and didn't dry on any setting. We addressed the problem and we got an absolutely brand new one. The air conditioning has a hard time keeping up during the summer, and I feel bad for running it all the time; however, being on the 4th floor in direct sunlight, I feel like I am baking in an oven if I don't! The mattress was nasty and stained when I moved in, who knows what with. Very disappointed in this place. Was expecting much, much more from it.
The Grove is a great place. They got new management which is the best and I have lived here for two years. They deal with my issues very promptly and maintenance keeps the grounds clean including the pool which is really fun during the summer. I feel completely safe with 2 custody officers and with it being fenced in. Highly recommend living here!!!
Personally, I like The Grove. I haven't had any issues since I've been here. Maintenance is pretty good and my issues are usually fixed right away. The only con is that management keeps changing but other than that, it's cool. There is a shuttle that takes students to campus which is a plus because I don't have to drive. It's better than living in Blanton Commons.
Lived here for two years. The worst experience imaginable! Ceiling leaked until it molded and ruined my tv. My car was towed by complex because of new rules that they didn't bother informing us about. Would change gate codes and apartment keys without notice, so I was locked out of my apartment twice in the middle of the night. Didn't inform me of a charge after I moved out then sent me to collection agency!
I love the fact that everything is included and that it gated.there is a pool, weight room, tanning beds, fire pit, basketball court, food bar,and many planned activities.the apt is close to my school and to shopping mall and restaurants. The staff are nice and it a very safe place to live with reasonable rates.apts are furnished and good size.
Great place to stay. It's a closed in community. Which is a plus. It also has a shuttle which is great for the college students. The only down side I would say it is a tad bit pricey, but what's all included makes up for it. Water, cable / wifi, and electricity.
Love my apartment complex. Best place to live . Has nice features and a great place for anybody!
The Grove is a very friendly apartment complex and a great place to live. Great service and top of the line furniture that comes with the apartment. The staff is very helpful in times of need. They are welcoming and take care of there tenants. I love living at The Grove and wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
