The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Genesis Lafayette
Poor management, disconnecting internet, cockroach
Have good maintenance people. They are really quick. Communicate with them is very easy. For the monthly rental it’s worthy. Great service!!
The apartment is move than what I expected. The employees are also kind and helpful. The only downside to it is the bad mold smell and my damaged bathroom door and wall. Other than that, I love my apartment.
Residence Location: 10/10 Maintenance Office Behavior: Dustin: 9/10 Ty: 8/10 Megan: 00/10 (Displays unprofessional behavior and consistently defends her position against the tenant in any maintenance request/disputes)
The workers at Genesis seemed really welcoming, nice, and accommodating. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because the apartment was not the cleanest it could have been but other than that I like the place.
Worth every buck you are spending . it has all the amities you need like Wi-Fi, gym and swimming pool, and they are maintaining the surroundings areas Nice and clean.
Excellent service and very professional . Staff answers all questions and they are very prompt. Excited about my new experience in my new apartment
very good and real quiet apartment complex the people here are very helpful and i’m able to commute to and from school , i enjoy staying here
I love living here cause its close to every thing and i can walk to any place i need to go. if something is wrong in the apartment, the maintenance people always know what to do. and i love the pool.
Nice affordable apartments in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Very close to campus. Everything is within at least a 10 to 15 minute drive so that’s nice. And everyone around here seems to be friendly. The office staff is also a really big help to and are wonderful.

Clean apartments with most people being very quiet for the most part. Good location that is close to the university and close to many stores and restaurants around town. Staff is friendly and maintenance is always quick to respond, I enjoy living here!

The management is only concerned about money but not about the maintenance in apartments. While we are trying to reach out management they don’t respond.
The management hosts very nice resident events and are very good with residents. However, the office closes early and is not convenient for those who work 8-5 jobs.

This is a horrible place to stay . This is a very old apartment complex with a lot of cons. Broken door, mold growing out of vents , and roaches coming from your shower drain and kitchen . Management and front desk people are rude and unprofessional. Don’t live here if you want to save your health. The mold here has caused me to become dizzy and light headed . Since the complex doesn’t want to have a lawsuit they claim that it’s just dirty and spray paint over it so it’s grows more .

From the moment that I moved in it was some thing every week. There are countless issues that I could go on and on and list but the final straw‘s were when my dog got attacked by a roommates dog resulting in a $700 vet bill and when I caught pneumonia from breathing in mold that was growing since I was moved in resulting in me losing my job because I had to miss so much work and they never fixed it which is why I was let out of my lease. This is a horrible place to live in not to mention your roommates are also colonies of roaches. Do not live here.

This is a good place for university students but is a little expensive though. While cutting down on some expenses is leveraged by its proximity to the university.

The staff is very attentive, and they show care for their residents! Also, the property is close to campus and affordable for a college student! And I can sleep in late, and still make it to class on time. What more could you ask for?
Affordable place to live, nice pool when it's clean.

This is the most convenient place to live if you're a student at UL. It is literally steps away from campus which I love because before I moved here, I had to commute to campus and pay expensive parking fees. Also, I was surprised at how spacious the apartment is for the price. It is located right off of Johnston street so it's right next to so many places including Downtown and the Acadiana mall. The new staff is amazing and always respond to requests in a timely manner. I love this place and I plan to stay here until I finish grad school. I highly recommend UPlace!!!
I know myself, and I love the idea that I dont have to wake up early to in order to make it to class on time. If your a UL student, the location itself is enough for me, but I LOVE that my apartment is very spacious and private. Also the staff is really nice. I really like living here and would recommend it to anyone.

I have lived here for two years and have had a pleasnet experience at these apartments. The short distance from the campus is awesome and the price can't be beat for what you paying for. The Leasing office makes sure to treat residents with respect and are accommodating.
