With its rolling hills and attractive homes perched along tree-lined streets, Northeast Tacoma provides a decidedly suburban feel while still being only about seven miles from downtown. The neighborhood follows Commencement Bay from Dash Point south to Fife Heights, and it is separated from downtown by the Port of Tacoma. Several marinas dot the shoreline of Northeast Tacoma, including Tyee Marina and Corinthian Yacht Club of Tacoma.
One of the highlights of Northeast Tacoma, Dash Point State Park, covers 400 acres along Puget Sound and is the ideal hiking, swimming, fishing, biking, and boating destination. Dash Point Beach is a summertime favorite vacation spot, but residents can enjoy the amazing views year-round. Another great destination, Browns Point Lighthouse Park, sits along the northwest side of the neighborhood. Tour the lightkeeper’s cottage, have a picnic, and then sit back along the beach and watch the ships arrive at the port.

Overall look around poor landscaping, can't even put down bark dust except at office, office is spruced up but rest of property goes unkept kinda deceitful, pools are not heated, jacuzzi does not work, could be a beautiful property if it were taken care of?

We’d like to clarify that large-scale landscaping projects are a process, and we approach them in carefully planned phases to ensure quality and sustainability. While the office area has been refreshed, the rest of the property is part of an ongoing improvement plan, and we’re committed to enhancing the overall appearance over time. Regarding the amenities, both of our pools are heated for resident enjoyment. We currently have one jacuzzi fully operational and invite you to use it at your convenience. The second jacuzzi is undergoing extensive repairs that require specialized work, which is scheduled to take place during the off-season to minimize disruption. We truly believe in the potential of this property and are actively working toward making it a beautiful and comfortable place for all residents. Your feedback helps us improve, and we thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.
The cleanliness of the property has always been appreciated. The appreciation they (The fairways) show their residents is above and beyond. I just don't believe I can find a better apartment community.. If one cannot afford a house. This community is a wonderful place to snuggle into.. It's a hidden Gem.. Of apartment living. Not far from Freeway access , Tucked away.. yet close by immediately shopping, gas and restaurants.

The staff is always helpful, the community areas are always kept up well, maintenance is always nice and problems are fixed fast. And our dog loves the beautiful walks around the complex, the golf course provides great views. 10/10 would recommend!

Hi, I moved in here a few months ago and I have to say the condition of the apartments is really pretty bad. Cabinet doors don't fix correctly, there was filthy stains everywhere when I moved in, nearly every light switch has over paint and there was black mold behind the toilet. I now run a dehumidifier in my bathroom 24/7 to get rid of the moisture and keep the mold from coming back.

It is a convenient and relatively safe place to live but I would not recommend to friends or family as the value for the rent charged is nonexistent.

Don’t move here! It is dirty and unkept. So many buildings are overlooked. Maintenance and the leasing office won’t do anything to better your stay.

I really do enjoy living at the Fairways, Amanda was great helping me through out the process and everyone else that also helped. The entire process from applying to moving in was easy. It’s been nice living there, it’s never loud and the community seems and well maintained. I also like that parking isn’t crazy if I ever want to have a guest over. Amenities are great and the staff are so friendly and seem to be on top of things.

Not bad location but management is absolutely clueless. Multiple car thefts within the past month and they shut down the pool to only business hours?!? Like what sense does that make? Hire security or be smart about how to handle issues. The pool is only open for about 3 months tops as well.

This place needs a lot of work to justify the monthly cost. Every single thing about it can be improved, from security on the premises, to appliances not working at move in, to people leaving their trash on the curb where animals rip it apart, to the too-small parking lot. Every single thing a person would take into consideration before moving into a new place needs improvement.

We just moved in and everything has been so smooth and very nicely handle. Shayna has been SO helpful and was so nice to help us move in quickly and efficiently. There were a couple things that needed to be fixed when we moved in, and maintenance was quick to come and fix what needed to be fixed.

I workout daily at the Fairways gym - almost 2 years here with daily workouts and there is never more than 4 residents in the state-of-the-art, advanced, well-maintained fitness center. Property just added new equipment today. Also there is a yoga room-- good staff. clean, and great fitness machines!

Fairways is a fine apartment complex. Really not too bad. Nice grounds and nice area. Maintenance is quick to respond and management is pretty good at helping to work with concerns.

The fairways overall is slowly improving, but still has a ways to go before being worth it’s price point. The management team and maintenance team have improved greatly since our first year here and I am excited to see how they continue to improve the property for residents, they are doing great by caring to listen to the residents and being kind.

-Maintenance is ridiculously under-staffed and do not show up at their scheduled times. Myself and 2 other tenants/units that I've met all have maintenance requests that have been open for MONTHS. One doesnt have a working washer and dryer, one can not use the shower in their 2nd bathroom, and I have waited WEEKS to have my heating fixed. Yes, you read that right. I have NO HEAT AT ALL in my unit and havent for weeks. Maintenance has said they would come 3 times now and hasnt ever shown up. -You pay $20 a month for "valet" trash that rarely shows up. So you get piles of trash on everyones porches for days. -The community is not maintained well except for the golf course. Broken lights, railings, stairs, and the pet waste bins and trash cans by the mailboxes are always overflowing. -Office staff do not care at all and will NOT help you. Good luck getting anyone to answer you on the tenant line. They will also accept your packages and then never tell you. (And not look when you call. You HAVE to go to the office if you think they have it.) -Management is even worse; nothing ever gets done or fixed; good luck getting an answer or help with anything. [After being blown off by the leasing manager for nearly 2 months I threatened a law suit (i was put into a different until since the one i agreed to wasnt ready - but the new unit wasnt ready either and no one ever came to fix and finish everything), and they let me speak to the property manager. It took me a month going back and forth with management to get my unit up to move in ready condition because maintenance ignored her telling them to come to my unit. -There isnt nearly enough open parking and the $50/month paid parking is always "full" according to the leasing manager. -The units are such low quality. The floors squeak, you can hear everything your neighbors do, they have a problem with appliances, and the "new" finishes are cheap. This is by far the worst apartment complex I have lived in which is such a shame because its a nice neighborhood. I thought Greystar was a decent company but this community seems to have been brushed under the rug. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place - you'll have nothing but regret and headaches if not. I wish I had read reviews before signing my lease. Worst decision I have made in years, so i am posting this one in hopes it helps someone save themselves the trouble of this horrid place. Please read the recent reviews from the last 6 months.

Apartments have pretty good floor plans and are in fairly good condition. Apartments surrounding the golf courses are nice.

Cant recommend renting here. The renovations are cheaply done and not worth the price at all. The staff don't care and do the bare minimum. The grounds are nice but again, not worth the price or the hassle of everything else you have to deal with. Go somewhere else.

The staff is very professional and understanding and caring. The maintenance guy I forgot his name that normally pick up the trash and dust the compactor is very nice and friendly and very helpful the maintenance when it’s done it’s not professionally and not just some thrown on work done quick fix the property is always clean and up kept. It’s very peaceful and enjoying living by the pond my kids love the ducks in the view we love the apartment we’re in we love the corner apartment we downsize from a three bedroom to this two bedroom even though it’s much smaller is much more beautiful and home warming to come home to

Staff is very friendly, but they are slow to get back to you on anything. Our apartment wasn't clean when we moved in. Stuff was broken and weeks later maintenance still hasn't even looked at it yet.

Overall, it’s a very nice apartment community. The views of the golf course are excellent, it’s a quiet forest area, and the rent price is competitive for the size and quality. The staff is friendly and quick to respond, and the entire area is very clean.

The property is under new management, and they are not playing nice. 1, They have raised rent Min 42% - Max 64.4 % this year (2022) 2, Trash is $40.00 with a mandatory $20.00 ($60.00) 3, Sewer is $42.00 4, Covered parking is $50.00 5, A garage is $150.00 6, You will need covered parking because after 5 pm all the parking is gone. 7, If you live near the golf course by any of the holes your car will get hit with golf balls and dented. We contacted the front office they said contact the golf club. Golf club said sorry too bad, move. 8, The post man stopped delivering my mail for 6 months. I had 6 open claims, 5 visits to the Fife office, I went to Twitter, Headquarters, and eventually getting my lawyer involved. Finally, after a lawyer they said sorry we accidently stopped service to your box after they blamed the senders! The front office was on my side, but it was pointless. 9, The heaters are electric and passive (No Fan to circulate), good luck heating your place. 10, Plan to have your car stolen, broken into, or catalytic converter stolen. 11, The gradient in and out of some of the driveways are 40 feet in 20 feet. That means wintertime you will slide into a parked car, get stuck, or smack a curb. 12, The last complaint, some renters have 4+ vehicles that never move, it's frustrating because parking is so bad to begin with. Save the project car for when you have a home. 13. For fun count how many apartments are on the property. Then multiply than number by 60. That's what they are making off garbage alone in on month. I was kind of shocked I then multiplied that by 12 months, I was flatlined. Happy renting!!!

I love it here. My friend accidentally left her rollaway cart with her wallet everything in it in the parking lot and the next day it was still there. This place is so trustworthy beautiful quiet. Maintenance staff come within hours of request for service. The office staff is professional and friendly. They are very helpful, they help process your application quickly. I highly recommend Fairway.
