Lee’s Summit is a medium-sized suburban community just outside the southwest corner of Kansas City. The downtown area in the center of Lee’s Summit is an attractive retail district full of locally-owned specialty shops, restaurants, and nightlife venues housed in historic buildings. The city has developed a healthy tourism sector with many cultural and natural attractions all around, including the Longview Mansion, Missouri Town 1855, Powell Gardens, and the enormous Fleming Park.
The local schools perform exceptionally well, and the crime rate is well below the state and national averages. Lee’s Summit is a great place for commuters to find houses and apartments, with the drive into Kansas City only being around thirty minutes (Amtrak service between the cities is available as well, although the trip takes about an hour).

I lived here for 6 months and had a recurring rodent/mice issue in my unit due to the building I was in. Although I had put in countless maintenance request to resolve the issue the problem was never resolved. It took multiple request and calls to management to get pest control to come out to my unit only for them to just lay bait in my unit and never follow up. The areas in the unit that the rodents were coming in and out from was never sealed or fixed despite my request being marked as complete by staff without doing anything. This continued on the ongoing issues of having rodents. It’s very unfortunate that management expected me to stay in a unit that had rodents without throughly fixing the issue or providing a solution. The current community manager Michele is also very unpleasant, rude and lacks professionalism. I definitely would not recommend!!

While baiting is often an initial and industry-standard step in addressing rodent activity, we understand it may not have met your expectations for a complete resolution. We also want to clarify that our team did follow up on your requests, and any marked completions were based on the actions taken at the time. That said, we understand that pest issues can be complex, and we regret that despite multiple treatments, the situation persisted in your unit. Regarding your comments about our community manager, we are disappointed to hear this perception and will take your feedback into consideration. Professionalism and resident satisfaction are very important to us, and we’re committed to improving communication wherever possible.
Stayed with the Fairways a little over 30 months. Great amenities, spacious layouts, decent appliances, and good/quiet neighbors. The new management team is forthcoming with information & updates about the property. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely fashion. Only qualm would be parking near your unit, depending on which building.

When we moved in, we were charged a pet deposit. We paid a monthly pet rent. When we left, not only did we not get the remainder of our security deposit back, we did not receive the pet deposit back and we were charged a pet cleaning fee. The grounds were covered in dog poop and management never enforced Lee's Summit leash laws so aggressive dogs charge leashed dogs regularly.

Charging us for non existent damages to the apartment weeks after we've moved out. Who knows how many times they or maintenance has been in and out of the apartment and now theyre claiming there are stains and smells from the carpet that were not there when we moved.

Don’t let the pictures or “amenities” fool you into renting here. This place is awful, management is tough to deal with as well. We have only lived here for a month and have had quite a few run ins. Our Washer, Dryer and Dishwasher didn’t work. It took them a month to even replace our washer. The smell of mold is absolutely disgusting. There’s NEVER any parking, my car got towed for being parked for less than an hour on a curb that was partially on a fire lane area, the lease says they will warn you but they are claiming there was “no sticker” to identify that the vehicle belong to me which I later found the sticker in the spot where I was parked all crumpled up. Also, they have my license plates registered in the office so they did have a way of knowing that was my vehicle. How convenient they have a contract with the towing company that removed my car I had to pay $415 to get my car this morning. In the middle of a pandemic $415 is quite a bit of money to splurge and they aren’t willing to compensate. Our keys didn’t work, our exterior and interior locks are messed up. Our door handle doesn’t open properly. Our club house key didn’t work, the “free car wash” doesn’t work. The pool is NOT heated. Only few of the machines work in the rec center. The clubhouse is NOT 24 hours only part of it is but they will tell you everything you want to hear to sign that lease. And don’t let the “no deposit” get you. You’ll pay a $20 fee that is non-refundable every month to “cover that deposit”. They know what they’re doing when it comes to screwing you out of your money. I’m absolutely disappointed and disgusted. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. They charged my rent TWICE and claim it was a mistake on my end when it was a glitch in their system. I had to pay a $35 fee for my bank to stop payment and they said they would be willing to cover that but haven’t initiated into doing so. We put in so many maintenance requests for them to be marked as “completed” when they weren’t so they are “covering” they’re end which the property manager made sure to tell me they do. Now I have to hire an attorney to try to get the funds back that I paid when my car was towed. There’s NEVER parking and many people park in these areas like I did every night. This place needs a lot of work and Harbor Group Management needs to start treating paying customers correctly. Also be aware they “raise” your rent after the first month with all these “fees” that are apparently in your lease.

We like to make sure there is ample parking for residents so we do our best to tag any illegally parked cars in undesignated or unsafe areas that do not have proper resident stickers. We recommend all guests to park in the parking lot we have available in front of the clubhouse. I rented this apartment long distance from another state. This apartment is beautiful and the community is amazing! The office staff are kind and helpful and went out of their way to help and to welcome my family. There are beautiful grounds with a lake and lots of trees, yet close to shopping and good schools. The apartment is roomy and has great use of space with a pantry and a walk in closet in the master bedroom. I am very pleased with my decision to live here!

Our experience at The Fairways has been great. The office of staff of Wilma and Kaley are one of the main reasons we have just signed our third lease...They are fantastic and always fun to talk to, especially when picking up my Amazon packages!!! The maintenance staff are responsive and professional. The parking is probably the only real issue we have; it is a challenge to find a spot close to our unit if we get home later in the night. I would definitely recommend the Fairways.?

Great location, settled between Lee's Summit and Lakewood with access to QuikTrip, Price Chopper and CVS within walking distance. I've utilized almost all of the amenities and been completely satisfied; quarter mile walking trail, year-long salt water heated pool access, gym, pool tables, outdoor gas grills, fully stocked fishing pond, the list goes on and on! They just began trash pick up at your door Sun-Thurs and it's been super convenient! I've needed maintenance once since I moved in and my issue (low water pressure) was taken care of immediately. Office staff are very helpful and kind!
