I’ve been living at The Emery in Emeryville for over a year and it has been a really positive experience so far. The building is modern, clean, and very well located, close to everything I need. The amenities are great and always well maintained. I also want to highlight the amazing management. Dartise has been incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional with everything we’ve needed. He always makes sure residents feel supported and taken care of, which I really appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend living here!!!

Living at The Emery has been an excellent experience. From day one, everything has run smoothly, and the community feels well-managed and welcoming. The manager, Dartise, deserves special recognition—he is efficient, professional, and consistently respectful. His leadership sets the tone for the entire team, who are equally attentive and reliable. Any request or concern is handled quickly and with care, which makes a huge difference in daily living. Overall, The Emery has exceeded my expectations, and much of that is thanks to Dartise and his outstanding team.

Best place to live!!! So close to everything - in the middle of Oakland, Berkeley, SF - best of everything combined. Building is super quiet, clean and well kept. Very pet friendly! Down the street from Safeway, Target, Ikea, Nordstrom rack, Best Buy, AMC movie theater and bay street shopping. Also I would like to give thanks to Taylor (Leasing Agent) who did a wonderful job on helping me. Thank you

The community are really friendly and there is a peaceful vibe all around the apartment complex. Love seeing people walking their dogs while taking a walk to enjoy the fresh air and nice view. Feeling very safe in nearby area too.

I personally love it here I have lived in the Emeryville local area all my life, the crafting and building of The Emery has been a project come true

Everything is generally good. Nice facilities however the roof is usually taken over by people that don’t seem to live here. And our washer/dryer is very inefficient. Takes 2-3 hours to dry a simple load.

I like the service like maintenance is fast and efficient. The office are friendly and helps a lot when we met problems. Just the windows cannot open fully so it’s hard to have fresh air when I don’t want to use AC.

As someone who works from home, The Emery has been ideal. The apartments are quiet, the internet is fast, and there are common areas where I can switch up my work environment. Plus, the rooftop is a great spot to take breaks! Love it here.

Having lived here for a year now, I can confidently recommend living at the Emery to anyone considering it. It is very safe, great for families and students, and everything from the units themselves to the outdoor facilities are very well-kept.

I really enjoyed living here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the building has great amenities like a gym, pool, study room, and conference room. It’s also super convenient, just a short walk to Bay Street with lots of shops and restaurants! Both move-in and move-out were really smooth. Overall, a solid place to live.

Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or just tossing gutter balls for laughs, this alley delivers top-tier fun. It’s easily the standout amenity I’ve tried.

The staff here at the emery are very nice and easy to work with and I am very pleased with all the amenities and the apartment life here at the Emery.

We love living in this community! The people are wonderful and everything is so close! Only comment, trash, recycle and compost chutes are often not working.

The leasing office staff is friendly and always willing to help if any questions come up. The staff is also friendly, and there is a person who vacuums the gym every morning. The whole residence is kept clean.

Love living here. Easy to get places. Driving or cycling. Very easy to find places and of course Bay Street near by. Wether you want to go to Oakland or Berkely. It’s all near by

Every staff member since moving in has been so kind and welcoming. Lots of warm energy radiating from this community. Super close to anything one would ever need.

Overall, my experience has been positive. The amenities are well-maintained, the gym is excellent, and the neighborhood feels safe and family-friendly. However, I do believe there needs to be greater transparency during the leasing process, particularly regarding parking. Clearer communication upfront would have helped manage expectations and reduced a lot of unnecessary stress. That said, aside from this issue, I’ve been very satisfied with the apartment and community.

Ok everybody is great and we love living here. Staff is easy to work with and maintenance is very attentive. Haven’t had any problems. We hope to call the Emery our home for a long time.

I have lived in The Emery for 2 weeks and from the day I moved in, the staff and residents have been nothing short of amazing! Taylor Duncan in the leasing office is smart, extremely helpful and so pleasant. A resident offered her wagon for me to use when she noticed me strugging with packages. Another resident almost lost his arm trying to hold the elevator for me. Just all around an amazing experience thus far!

We’ve only been in the unit for a short time but so far everything is great. We’re happy with the property and all the amenities. We look forward to exploring all that the Emery has to offer.

Love this community. It’s nestled in a quiet neighborhood full of lovely shops and restaurants. The Emory uses every chance to grow unity within the walls with get togethers for the renters in their buildings.

The Emery Apartments are lovely. The staff is welcoming and the residents are friendly. The area is very safe and clean. It is conveniently close to shopping centers too!

We've been living here for over two years and my family loves it! We are close to the park, there's a bowling alley and a pool. The gym is a bonus too.

A great place to live. Things seem new inside apartments. Good location. Very nice amenities, with spots to work and hold meetings. New here but this looks like a vibrant community. Look forward to days ahead.

From my tour to my move in, the staff here have been incredibly friendly and helpful to get me settled in. They were able to accommodate my needs, always answer the phone and be available when I needed help. Highly recommend!

This is a great apartment community with wonderful amenities and community / social events. Package delivery is sometimes unreliable as packages can be delivered at the wrong apartment building.

After approximately six months, we are generally (albeit mildly) satisfied living at The Emery. The staff has been courteous, the property remains convenient as a place to live and commute from, and the neighbors we meet outside seem kind. This is a great place to live if you have a dog. We continue to have severe issues with vaping fumes coming from somewhere nearby - there is no way to determine the exact source. Although vaping and smoking is prohibited, the policy appears unenforceable. Reminders are sent in monthly newsletters, but the continued presence of vaping indoors suggests this is ineffective. My partner is highly sensitive to the fumes, and finds it very difficult to breath at times. At time of writing, we have experienced multiple issues with the main entrance elevator. Though a minor inconvenience for us, it does detract from my overall opinion of the property.

A lot of amenities and places to relax. Always quiet. The only thing is one of the elevators goes out frequently. It takes a little to get fixed.

I’ve lived at the Emery for a few months now. There is much to love: the gym, the Workstead, Emery Lanes, the Emery Shuttle, the Pool Deck, common spaces, and screening room. And there is much that puzzles. A confusing community app, inconsistent wifi in common area, no ability to screen share to monitors in working spaces and lounge spaces, random security issues and excessive trash in common spaces, slow response time to unit requests. I assume what puzzles must just be taken in stride given the location and convenience of the community and the earnestness of the staff. I still recommend the Emery to others looking for a convenient and safe place to live. I just wish there were fewer chronic issues as most should be easy to fix permanently.

The apartment was really nice and clean! A lot of things to do that will make you productive everyday very convenient to stores and mall. A very pet friendly community too

Went on a tour! Dartise Jones and his was great. I Fell in love with the convient location and luxurious amenities. I'm highly motivated to making The Emery my future home.

Been great almost 3 years in quiet area relatively clean can’t complain too much events are nice too. relatively close to everything as well.

Great place, but parking assistance is not sign much. Have been waiting for reassigned spot for days. Sadly not very efficient The building and maintenence people are great keeping it as clean as they can ,wish residents would do their part too. Hoping to have a good year here

10/10 - no complaints! The community is quiet and neighbors are nice. The maintenance team is always quick and responsive and issues are addressed quickly by the office

Yubi is the only one worthy of mentioning. She’s amazing. Everyone else is rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. The apartments are fine but most of management and parking is awful.

One of the best apartment buildings in the Berkeley side of the Bay Area. Clean and well organized. Great maintenance team. Great leasing office.
