The Emerson

I love it here! Everyone has been so welcoming! I’ve gotten to try so many new restaurants and the Pilates place down stairs! I really like the gym and I really like that I can park my car on Friday after work and not have to drive at all while I’m at home because everything is so close!

Very smooth approval process. Everyone who works here is very nice and helpful. The apartments are beautiful! We did our research and this building seems to be the best of the luxury apartment complexes in downtown Oak Park.

The location, amenities, and team remain unmatched. Should anything not be to standard, the team works hard to get things fixed. It’s a great place to call home.

I love living here! My studio is cozy, the building feels safe, and the location is perfect. Everything is well taken care of and it’s usually really quiet, which I appreciate. The only thing I wish they could fix is the humidity in the building. It can feel a bit damp sometimes. Other than that, it’s been a great place to call home!

I'm still settling in, but so far, I've been extremely impressed with the Emerson. I love the simple, modern design of the apartments. The gray walls are cozy. I'm looking forward to using the amenities.

Perfect spot downtown with a great community and great people to enjoy it with. Amazing events weekly throughout the neighborhood with great food spots everywhere!

I've really enjoyed living here. The buildings are kept clean and the amenities are great. The staff is friendly and you can tell they care about and want to provide the best experience for everyone. The unit itself is nice with premium appliances including full sized washer and dryer. My building is very quiet, even in my apartment I very rarely hear any noise from any of my neighbors. Overall, this has been the best experience out of all the apartments I've ever had.

Everyone is very welcoming and kind. The Community is very clean and put together. It is a super convenient location for transportation, shopping, and dining.

We’ve had several incidents with how we were billed from Conservice for utilities as well as how we were billed for our June 2025 rent after our rent renewal. This has caused us to be very unsatisfied with how things are going here. It’s unfortunate because the people who work here are very good people, but things need to be made better.

I just renewed my lease to continue calling The Emerson my home. I love the luxuries of high-rise living in a beautiful neighborhood. The ease of access to public transit options make this location perfect.

My experience so far has been great! Spacious units with updated appliances. The concrete floors/ceilings are very good at reducing noise between the floors.

The Emerson has been my home for three years and I love being here! Great amenities, fantastic location … being footsteps away from the train is amazing.

The perfect location in Oak Park. With no traffic, you can drive to downtown Chicago within 25 minutes, to O’Hare in 20, and it’s a couple of minutes walk to catch Metra or the Green Line.

Great location with many stores and restaurants within walking distance. Unfortunately, there continue to be inconsiderate neighbors slamming doors & yelling at their kids in the hallways.

Great amenities and great community events! I loved the Christmas Party we had yesterday with amazing food and music, as well as an opportunity to meet other residents and the new pilates studio.

I love living at the Emerson! The staff is always extremely helpful and kind, the maintenance requests are always fulfilled in timely manners, and the on site events they hold are always lots of fun!

We have enjoyed our 2 years at The Emerson very much. The overall environment and value is pretty hard not to appreciate. The location convenience, overall cleanliness and management professionalism is top notch. When needed, the maintenance staff is very responsive, friendly, and thorough.

My experience here has been wonderful so far! Amenities are great and the management is always looking for ways to revamp the apartment. Lots of cute dogs as well :)

The Emerson is a decent apartment building. I like how there are two high-rise and mid-rise buildings connected by a bridge that create the complex. Unfortunately, it is very expensive.

My first few years at the Emerson were fantastic. I loved my apartment, the location, the amenities and the staff. Recently the building underwent a management change and the old staff all left, other than the manager. The experience under the new management company has substantially changed. You have to follow up multiple times to get any response to questions or maintenance issues. I recently moved to a different unit and the staff did not respond to my emails asking what was required for the move until the night before when they called telling me I needed a cashiers check the next morning (which would have been impossible at that point as the banks were closed). They “lost” my elevator reservation that I had made a month in advance and I had to reschedule my movers. My unit was missing the WiFi hookup which should have been obvious if they inspected the unit prior to the move and my HVAC was broken. I had to call multiple times to have these issues addressed. The prior staff here made the experience at this building stand out relative to any other I had rented at. The difference in the responsiveness and care of the current team makes it highly likely this will be my last year at the Emerson.

My experience at the Emerson has been very positive. The staff and management are always on top of maintenance calls, the neighbors are friendly, and the neighborhood is great.

I just started living here, but I love it! The apartment amenities are great and the staff is also amazing. I love the location with easy access to grocery stores and restaurants.

PROS Front desk Jordan and Eugine are great and go above and beyond. Love the package system. Maintenance is extremely quick to respond, pool and outside area is really nice. Gym has all the basics. It was nice having a security guard on premises at night, made me feel safe when taking dog out after hours. Liked the virtual platform as well. CONS Community office cubicals could use some work, very stained and outdated and typically full. Apartments aren't very soundproof, would hear dogs barking from down the hall at night. Upstairs residents would toss cigarettes off their patio which would land on my balcony, had to grab them from out my dogs mouth a few times. Lots of apartment inspections and elevators going down. Back office isn't the most friendly, my movers said they were threatened when they were taking too long and threatened to have the building locked on them when they went past 5pm.

As usual amazing staff and community of neighbors. The rent is stable and maintenance is prompt and fixes everything really well. I am glad I renewed my lease for next year!

Everyone on staff is very friendly and helpful. Whenever there is an issue the staff is responsive. This is a great area to live and the Emerson is a luxury apartment experience

My experience was great, I moved in the community and everytbing was super smooth, from the moment I got to the emerson building. Everybody in the management office is super suppprtive.

This is THE address in Oak Park! The building is well-maintained, the staff are phenomenal, and the location is incredible. And can we talk about the pool? Love it!

Very friendly staff and smooth move-in experience. Apartment was clean upon arrival and amenities are easy to navigate. Love that there are so many grocery stores nearby!

Its a good building to live at. The amenities are good and there is a lot to do nearby. Oak park is a nice place. As well as the train being right in front of the building making it really accessible to move anywhere

The building is amazing! I enjoy living here! It's very comfortable and neat. I have to do a lot of schoolwork and this building is very ideal for that!

Extremely thin walls- you can hear everything. Elevators are always down. Hallways and elevators reek of weed. Fire alarms always falsely go off frequently. My brand new car got damaged in the public garage we have to park in. Neighbors are inconsiderate and slam their doors all day. Management does nothing about complaints. Rent is way too high. Would do better in a building in the city for the cost. Only gave two stars because of location and skyline view.

My family and I have had a really great experience living in the Emerson Apartments. It is located within walking distance of so many shops and grocery stores. It is a nice community. The neighbors and staff are very nice, friendly and helpful.

My time at the Emerson has been nothing but great. Staff is very friendly. Service requests are completed same day sometimes and overall I have had nothing but good things to say. Amenities are nice and clean!
