Plant City is known for its suburban streets and close-knit community. Flocked with citrus groves, strawberry fields, nursery farms, and pastures, this historic city is a peaceful reprieve from big city living. Situated on Florida’s west coast, Plant City is just 23 miles northeast of Downtown Tampa where you’ll discover restaurants, shops, attractions, and bayfront views.
Holding true to its name, Plant City is home to numerous fields and pastures filled with plants and crops—but the most important pastures to the residents of Plant City are no other than the ones that grow their beloved strawberries. This diverse suburb is home to the Florida Strawberry Festival, an 11-day community event celebrating the strawberry harvest in Eastern Hillsborough County.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Ellis
Pretty good experience. Wish the walkways were kept a little cleaner but good access to I-4 as well as nearby restaurants. Community is pretty quiet.
Have always had a great time living here. I’ve been living here since they first opened, while they were still building. 9 years! Wow times flies! Never had issues and managers and employees are always there to help!
good experience so far living here. close to i4 and a lot of restaurants and nearby stores. prettty scenery around and nice view of the strawberry water tower
Outside appearance of the apartment complex is always disappointing - excessive amounts of dead insects, dirty building siding, stained concrete, neglected pool area, and landscaping that needs attention.

Been here since they were still building it. Never had any problems at all. Going on I think 9 years. Staff is always helpful and always there when needed!
This review is regarding the condition of Century Lakehouse in Plant City, FL. The apartments have a bug infestation on the outside walkways/halls leading to the apartments, to the point that they are all over the floor and walls and people have to run in order to avoid them. This is a sanitary issue. I have videos to send if needed. The building I am referring to is 3015. Management is not taking care of the situation, in fact, management puts zero effort in the outside appearance and cleanliness of the buildings and has been unresponsive to calls regarding this. These are overpriced apartments and the most expensive in the area, should not be in this condition and renters should not be in this uncomfortable situation. The apartments are far from luxury and the premises are in subpar condition. Management needs to fix this bug infestation as soon as possible since this affects the well being of their residents. Thanks for your assistance.
This is by far the worst place I have ever lived in, they raise your rent every year, they will charge you to clean the carpet, they dont clean it for you when you renew the lease, the water smell like sewage, too many rules and bugs the place is filthy dirty with inspects all the time. The manager Margie is horrible very bad customer service, they way she speak to the tenants is very impolite. You will get charge for everything when you move forget about your deposit. Please save yourself and rent somewhere elese. Do not waste your money and time here.
This apartment may look nice from the outside, but I recommend taking a closer look before renting. First, the water smells like fresh sewage. Make sure you run the faucets and do a walkthrough of the ACTUAL unit you plan to rent before renting. At night, the mosquitos will swarm you in the thousands as you walk up the stairs. Also the parking situation is atrocious and nothing has been done to resolve the issue. Yet, we are forced pay 5$ per month for parking. Lastly, the management imposes additional fees and attempts to collect fees from its residents It's not horrible and may be better than some of the other options, but I do recommend looking elsewhere. I just want someplace to lay my head and relax and would prefer not to deal with the drama this complex brings.
It's a new place with a lake view. The managers and staff are great. We have a beautiful landscaped drive in and around the pond. A great gym and business center too. Every thing is very professional and welcoming here. I have never felt like any apartment was home until I came here. Plus I'm in Florida, 45 miles from Disney World or a beach. What could be better than that. I don't have a big city feel, yet close enough to have everything we need.
